So, with the introduction of the multi platform casino, many operators are offering several providers under one canopy. How has this affected your game play on NetEnt or MG slots? A year or two ago, we saw many providers just offering NetEnt and perhaps MG. Players were limited. Now there is a vast selection of slots - so many they make my head spin.

I recall back in the day I would be jumping from Reel Steal to Dead or Alive and Jack and the Beanstalk - With DOA getting a fraction of the play it used to from me and the other slots not getting any action whatsoever, I am curious if the trend remains the same with some of you?

I have basically abandoned Netent and play Book of Dead, Viking Runecraft, Bonanza and have the odd flutter on other slots. What about you?

NetEnt used to be my number 1 but these days I rarely play any of them and the latest releases you can't really see much potential.

Big Time Gaming has changed the industry in the past few months and even Play 'n' Go has potential going forward.

Compare BTG and NetEnt during November 2017 on one of my sites (UK traffic) clear to see what people are looking for. NetEnt used to be above Microgaming too

We have all changed our game play I believe. I still only play MG's game on download. Don't know if I will play them at all when the last download version is gone.

I played NetEnt only before on the websites. Then it was Rhino and other VMS. Then some Play'n go, Novomatic and now latest BTG.
It's great to have the choice, but I'm not so much for changing and try new games. I play those I like for entertainment.
The older games from Netent is still my favourits, but when all is changed to HTML5 then I don't know...They didn't manage to do such a good job there.

I can imagine those who have started the latest years how confusing it all must be:eek2:

Likewise with Netent, I've given up on them and mostly play Book Of Dead now and Play N Go games. Love Yggdrasil, they have been very good to me too.

I dont hardly play Netent anymore.
I do give the new games a bash, usually end up regretting it and still fancy a little session on DOA now and again and thats it.
I dont touch MG much anymore either.
Most of my play is on BTG slots nowadays.

EDIT, oh I do have the odd dabble on Bloodsuckers 2 as I like that

I absolutely have cut down on my Netent play. It wasn't that long ago when Jungle Spirit was released and instantly became one of my favourite games to play. And I played DOA HTML5 a fair bit as well. I was also playing Wild Turkey and the turd.

    But boy have things changed.

I can't agree enough with what Nicola said re: BGT. They HAVE changed the industry. Really have come in and given things a good old shake up.
They are my slot provider of the year tbh.
Bonanza, DHV and White Rabbit are among the most talked about games on this forum. That is not an accident. And I don't think it is down to "recency bias" either.
It's because it very quickly became apparent just how much big hit potential these games had. Former CM favourites like DOA and Rhino have almost become after-thoughts, slowly descending towards slotting irrelevance.

If you want to see some evidence of the sea change, just look at the screenie threads....19k hit on Queen of Riches, 16k hit on DHV, 14k hit on Bonanza. We've also seen 5k hits on White Rabbit. There have also been 3k hits on Dragon Born and even Starquest is capable of delivering 1k plus.
And players are saying to themselves "Hmm, I fancy some of that. Screw that idea I had of playing DOA or JATB. BTG is where the action is at".

Another example of how quickly things have changed, just look at Mr. D's vids.
As recently as 4 months ago, they were mostly consisting of play on Rhino and Netent with the odd bit of Book Of Ra.
Now they are barely getting a look in. Because the tidal wave that is the bank (sometimes) of BTG has taken over.

And you know what? I'm glad BTG has come in and shaken things up. Maybe a shake up was overdue?

Very much like you Nate, I apportioned a sizeable chunk of my time and bank roll to Dead or Alive in years gone by, these days I give it £50 or £100 on 90p spins hoping for the big hit, but not chasing, then I move on. Although big hits on all slots are rare, Big Time Gaming can match DOA on hit potential but it just feels like you're more likely to hit a win on their slots at that size as opposed to Netent.
Netent led the way for some time with original ideas for games, more recent games still lead that trend but other providers are catching on that we don't want another clone of a clone.
I even view MG as better hit potential than Netent, I have a soft spot for Playboy. Yes, Netent has taken it's finger off the pulse of the player and would do well to copy some more recent providers game mechanics with regard to hit potential, but particularly look at base game mechanics giving a better play time.

Wild Rockets, Turd, Secret Of The Stones still worth a bash but

Look at Planet Of The Apes, big budget license, high production values but just a couple of months later streamers don't touch it and nobody talks about it really because
.. egg timer and endless 2 scatter teasing. And quite a fast draining egg timer at that.

They need to go back to the drawing board.

After loss after loss after loss on NetEnt, with the exception of DoA, I have vowed to stay away from them - I used to play Jungle Spirit/Scruffy Duck fairly regularly but after hundreds and hundreds of spins, there is just absolutely nothing to show for it, typical egg timer slots. What happened to giving the player an opportunity for a decent win?

Lived on MG vipers only for years, then discovered Netent and to be fair did have some good times on them.

Nowadays I play over and over the same 10-12 slots max.

Only TWO of these same played are Netent, Jungle Spirit hoping for a big screen full one day and DoA, usually when trying to rescue a pending bust out at minimum bet.

Still play MGS heavily, BTG took over a lot of my play and love Novo's when I can find a bonus to add to my deposit to play them.

Rarely touch Play N Go (although can see this changing with VS awesome xmas promo) NEVER touch Playtech, Blueprint, Merkur, IGT.

Guess I'm a lot of a stick in the mud lol

Yep, like Tirilej I only play MG games on download, and like many who have already posted, my NetEnt play is definitely down a LOT on a couple of years ago - probably only 10%-20% of what I use to do.
Play'n'Go get most of my EU action now, with a little bit of Yggdrasil.

Yes, POTA was actually more of a PITA in slotting terms tbh. A major disappointment. All style, no substance. A recurring theme that Netent have been all too guilty of recently. If those stats shown in Nicola's post are any indication, it would seem that players are now starting to get wise to (or even clearly fed up with) Netent's "style over substance" ways and going elsewhere. Are they doing now what MG were doing 2 to 3 years ago, and starting to get complacent?

I just get fed-up with the egg-timer sessions, 9/10 times I play them. It's always watch balance plummet, get a hit for 80-90% of what it plummeted by, then repeat until bust.

    LessEnt or Morecrogaming?

    Neither!

Bout the same for me, not liking a bunch of the newer slots from both providers, although a few gems were brought out as well (i.m.o.)
I still play most of the classics i love(d) but my sessions mainly consist of alternative providers.\

Still a BIG fan of Thunderkick and Quickspin: their slots will see most of my money, but Big Time Gaming is close..Gotta love their slots..
I also dabble on Yggdrasil, but only with a big balance, or otherwise a few odd spins here and there..

Blueprint is also becoming a fav, slowly but surely - their bonus-teases are the worst i.m.o but nevertheless they make highly amusing games, with decent potential at least in most of 'em

I do miss some older providers like Leander's and Ash Gaming's slots (i know they have been integrated into Playtech and NYX - but i can't find most of my old fav's anymore, like Fairest of Them All - really miss that game!) so if anyone knows if they have been rebranded, and/or where i can find them, i'd be thankful!

Nothing to add really, but I'm going to do it anyway :(

It's a culmination of things with Netent. First off, they became way too greedy with their slot designs and abandoned player value. No one cares about emojis and turds. I'd pinpoint their decline after Steam Tower, and their last good game with potential was for me Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Licenses were generally botched, and after the excellent South Park we got Aliens & Planet of the Chimps.

Graphically their games have taken a nosedive, with the likes of Dracula and Red Riding Hood etc, they look as though they were animated by stoned YTS trainees, using their feet.

Payouts on their older games dried up, when did people last see a good hit on Gonzo, Rockets, Creature and so forth.

They started pulling good games (Trolls:mad:Pandora's Box:mad:South Park:mad:)

Banal business decisions, coupled with a very obvious contempt for their customers and lazy game design has led to Netent's decline. Their only game worth playing now is DOA, and even that's been butchered somewhat.

Netent have gone backward, others have moved forwards, simple as that. People don't mind being fleeced as long as there's some hope of a win at the end of it. In fact, even Playtech have made greater strides than them recently, says it all.

I see BTG dominating our play time for years to come, with MG still having the resources to compete and pull something out of the hat. I won't rue Netent's demise at all, but may shed a quiet tear for sessions past, or whenever Scarface is on the telly
