Are all online casinos the same?

Have you tried a few? Do you think the slots (especially bonus spins) have the same sort of payout? I've only ever been a SkyCityNZ player until today when I opened a Casinoland account. So far I have had 4 lots of bonus spins paying $2-$4 dollars - rather pathetic I thought. It costs more than that just to get to the bonus spins!

I should have said, "it costs a LOT more than that to get bonus spins". I asked because my experience with SkyCityNZ has never been quite this bad - not that SkyCityNZ is throwing money at me.

Maybe. I won't be finding out if they improve. Got more bonus spins - more pathetic payouts. Emptied out my account with Casinoland - moving on. lol What a relief I didn't make a large deposit.

I get the feeling that you will lose no matter what you play or where you play it or how you play it.....

But it definitely isn't the same. First of all plenty of casinos that won't pay you even if you win! Read the reviews, stay safe.

Second, you must always keep an eye for the RTP (return to player).
Same game at different casinos can have very different RTP, from 96% to 84% for example, meaning that even playing the same game it can be 4 times harder to win at one casino than it is on another.

Thanks. I suppose this is one of the things I was wondering about although I did expect the RTP to be the same for all casinos. How do you check what the RTP is for different games in different casinos?

I continue to play Thunderstruck2 for FUN. Results from Bonus Spins - $47, $13, $6, $12, $3, $29, $10, $4, $16, $25. Yep, a few really really bad ones - not quite the % of bad returns as I experienced from my bad luck at CasinoLand. $90 up so far from playing for fun. lol

Not always easy to spot. It should be on the help file or the info file inside the game ("i", "?", options tab.....). Sometimes it is on a casino page. And sometimes it is nowhere to be found (if the licensing jurisdiction doesn't require it to be easy to find).

The good thing is that most providers don't have ATM different RTPs available. The ones that do and I know of are: Play n Go, Pragmatic, Red Tiger and IGT.

With Netent, MG, Blueprint, Thunderkick, BTG, ...... you should be safe. For now. You better try to find the RTP every time you open a game.

Have just been playing Casinoland and even worse than SkyCityOnline - less than $10 return fro any bonus spins. Maybe that was because I was only playing with free spins/money at Casinoland although my previous experience at Casinoland was just as bad. Really only went back to play crooked Evolution Roulette. I just love the punishment. lol

Gambling can be strange at times. You might find that you run extremely badly - most times at the same casinos, whilst on the other hand, you have stellar runs at their competitors.

They all work off the same RNG though - Sometimes its all down to luck!

It also depends what slots / providers you play as some casinos run lower RTP versions of games - This WOULD affect your returns and experience.

Off the top of my head - Pragmatic Play, Play'n Go, IGT and others give operators the chance to choose the lower RTP versions whilst NetEnt and Microgaming don't.

Didnt know that. I have been hitting the No Limit City games lately on VS.

Just to make me eat my words, had a win playing Arianna (Microgaming) at Casinoland - $40+ which is good for a 25c per spin player. That's the best Arianna result I've ever had - a complete screen of the branch icon. Unfortunately they quickly got it back - everything else I played after that was worse than ever. Even managed to win a little playing crooked Evolution Roulette (that wasn't easy) which all went back on Casinoland slots. The thing I find with online Evolution Roulette - I always have a long losing run to start and increasing the size of bets seems to make them determined to make you lose. Had to keep going for ages before things turned around with a few annoying 'you've been playing for too long' messages which interrupted my play when they did.
