Anyone Reloadable Netspend not working?

Never had one NOT work in over two years. Have two now - never a decline. Uhh...cept'n fer them "almos'" deposits. Those are the ones when I've shot my wad but have jes been trackin my losses in my head, and I HOPE my card isn't empty but I'm not sure then I get declined due to almos' havin any funds left. I'm talking strictkly VISA. MCs a no-no.

i used netspend for a while now and i noticed this week i was charged a extra 49.98 cents. i checked my account and did not make that purchase so i called netspend and they said the merchant was the same merchant i had made my other transactions too. well it was a casino. i emailed the casino and they looked it up and said yes it was a legit transaction. and to not call netspend first because they could lock my card because of a gambling transaction. i still dont know how i got charged the extra money since it wasnt a transaction i had made. only thing i can think of is i miscounted my money on my card and had pending transactions . i still dont know how all this happened.

Since when does NetSpend give a FLIP what casino you're depositing in?
They are listed in 3Dice's cashier as a specific deposit option. I was gonna say if you had spoken to someone at the casino and had listened very carefully then you could have heard little "poot poot" noises between their words, faint but definate, cuz they are obviously talkin' out their ASide from the light rain along the coast early this morning, we can look forward to claearing with at least mid day partial sun then cool and clear this evening with lows in the mid 50's.

Im just surprised the 500.00 would not follow on a new card - You say in the past your balance on lost cards were forwarded to the new card. Does this only happen if you mention past cards??

Good question! I usually LOSE cards and they are USUALLY EMPTY. A couple of times I lost a card and ran n purchased a new one then phoned Netspend to have the old balance brought forward. The Netspend rep who double loaded my card tried to PLAY IT OFF like it was gonna follow me but there's this NICER NetSpend office anyway, same distance but the opposite direction and nothing came off any card (used weekly) for that and also Ive had 3 or 4 lost cards unreported for several months at the same time as having multiple active cards and it is never mentioned unless I speak to a rep and bring it up. So the 500 was operator error, theres no docs on it, they told me at the time to push the button on the POS thingy TWICE cuz it "didn't go through the first time". And no-ones ever mentioned it since.

Never any problems. Over 2 yrs, half a dozen Net Spend Visas and never a problem or a decline. Good luck!

Whenever I deposit at 3Dice with my Netspend Visa, the transaction is posted immediately. But then a pending transaction for the exact same amount stays on the account for another week reducing my available funds. It looks like you're being double-charged, but you're really not. It's just a hold. It drops off on it's own after a week. Same thing that gas stations and restaurants and hotels do. No other casino places a hold on my card except 3Dice.

No problems at INetBet but wouldn't go through at Lucky Nugget.

Don't use it often, but when I do, it would be kind of nice to be able to lose my $25 where I want.

Used my Netspend visa there last night. Every so often it won't work at various casinos for some reason. I usually change the amount and try again.

That's weird. I tried weird amounts as well....($47, etc)

I'm through with GM now anyways...I think it was an omen that it didn't go through

I had that operator error on a wired card. Except in my case , I did not have extra money show up, safeway canceled the errors somehow and did one over, so I ended up negative $50 on my card. I tried to get it removed to no avail, so gave up the card. I did not get the money I put on it either. It was a mess.

I no longer use the cards.

Hey guys, just to update you on my netspend situation. Since the last negative balance problem, I have not had any issues with using the card. (Except maybe using it too much and losing!! LOL) Hope it's working well again for all of you.

Used the card a couple of times at casinos, no problems. However, I do occasionally get denied at MG casinos. No specific problem, just their processor won't process it. I go to INetBet and it'll work fine. Who knows?? Sometimes I can deposit at say, Lucky Nugget, and then again, I'll try it the next week and it won't go through.

No problems (yet -- knock on wood) with double billing or 'holds'.

Just a quickie to confirm that we haven't seen any double charges for the past two months anymore. It seems they finally got their act together. Just thought I'd let y'all know (I've got a couple more transactions I can check this on than most ).

Hey Enzo...I had a $10 deposit charged twice at 3dice about 2 months ago.

Netpend did nothing about it but at least you guys gave me $15 free. I appreciate that!
