Bovada Group, why not Accredited

Nor sure why bovada is not accredited here. I have been playing there for something around 15 + years and never had any issues. Lightning fast payouts! Sometimes they don't offer great bonuses, and support can be slow at times. But in general, it is a solid site. Up like 10k this week and have been having a blast. The poker sucks now, but the new slots are great!!

The primary reason is they are absolute sh*t when it comes to player complaints, always have been. Search the forums, the non-payment issues and “talk to the hand” attitude goes back years and years. Not cool.

Another good reason — especially now — is that they’ve moved their licensing to "Union of the Comoros and the Central Reserve Authority of Western Sahara”. Look it up. Western Sahara isn’t even a proper country, it’s a contested war zone with no official government, “a non-automomous region”.

The reasons — the ONLY reasons — a company chooses a license like that is to avoid regulation and pay next to nothing for the privilege. Bovada has always been a “we do as we please” operation and a toothless, non-jurisdiction will let them do whatever they want. “Western Sahara” is ideal for them for exactly those reasons. For everyone else, especially players, it’s a non-license, a perpetual “get out of jail free” card for the casino and a big GFY to everyone else.

So why not Accredited?

Yup, standard procedure for Bovada: when, for whatever reason, they decide against a player it’s “lock the account, throw away the key, ignore all complaints”. That’s where that perpetual “get out of jail free” license comes in handy = no bother from the licensing jurisdiction. Like I said, it’s always “we do as we please” with Bovada.
