Looks to be sponsored by the Finnish Government:

About Paf

Paf, founded already in 1966, is an association governed by public law (Business ID: 0280695-6), whose goal is to raise money for the public good by offering gaming to the public. Paf is, by the Provincial land Government, entitled to arrange gaming on land, onboard ships and on the Internet.

The Paf group consists of the parent company Paf that manages gaming operations in the independent province of land, onboard land and Finnish owned ferries and gaming on the Internet with among others, casino gaming, several lottery games and sports betting in different forms. The international gaming operation is managed by the wholly owned subsidiary Paf Consulting Ab and its foreign subsidiaries and associated companies.

Internet gaming offers betting, games of skill, slots, bingo, poker, and casino and lottery games. The Paf gaming portfolio in its entirety comprises operation of slot machines, casinos, betting, bingo, lotteries, totalisators, and amusement games.

Actually the opposite is the case.
The Finnish government tried to bring them down (or at least stop them from targeting mainland Finland) for many years.
Various court decisions against PAF over time. Not entirely sure if they had to give in by now or if their fight is still going on with regards to finnish customers.

Can't comment on how their operation is run, but they have been around for quite some time, so that's a positive sign.

Well, the receipt of SPAM by sagera is not a good sign. In which part of mainland Finland is the province of Canada:rolleyes:

They may be a "all profit to good causes" operation, but they should be wary of descending into these practices, lest they become "just another moneygrabbing casino".

They are not heard of often, and they have bespoke software - almost as "bad" as $lotland's original HTML casino. I had a go in "fun" mode when it was mentioned a while ago, and was given to understand it was some kind of "charity lotto" enterprise, but using casino games online, rather than draw tickets of scratchcards. There is nothing that obviously bans non-Finnish players, but I got the impression that Finland was it's primary market. I too thought it was "government tolerated" because it was "charitable".

They do pay out, they are finlands only online casino at the moment, so quite many finnish players use them, and the games are fair.

Well I just took a look and they are using Net entertainment software-so far from cheap, VWM looks like things have moved on. But I did not find anything about charity pay offs. So maybe things really have moved on, but I only skimmed the site quick like.

But I did find a Phil Mitchell look-a-like.

Many Finnish gamblers play at PAF because it feels safe as the operation is governed by

which are part of Finland. And yes the casino profits go to charitable purposes for the welfare of land population.

net ent

I have played at PAF - the customer service was not the greatest imo - I do love the Net Ent platform. I play mostly at Towergaming casino now b/c they have Net Ent and a cool download. I have also been treated very well by customer service.
I think the charity thing has to do with Taxes - not directly tied to charities. If I am wrong sorry:)

Hi all,

Was pointed to this thread from a friend.

Working for Paf, so maybe I can shine some lights on any questions you may have.

Some basic information:

We are based and have our license in land. Which is a island between Sweden and Finland.

Our owners are the "government" in land, and land is province of Finland, with our own right to decide on some special situation, which gambling is one of them.

Paf where founded 1966, have our own land based casino, and run all the entertainment on the crusieships in the Baltic Sea.

We have been online since 1999 (celebrating 10 years this year), and I guess you can look pretty much anywhere and don't find any negative information about Paf. We take care of our customers. There might have been a lack of bonuses, which is changing at the moment and we are offering more and more so you can enjoy the games more.

We offer all products, which is, Casino (in house and Netent) Poker (Ongame and Boss, so yes two poker rooms), Skill games, bingo&lotteries, Dice & Backgammon, Bingo & Lotteries and finally sport-betting.

Our main market is the Nordic countries but have a growing presence in the Spanish speaking countries.

Sponsor of the Spanish football team Atletico Madrid in the Spanish "La liga"

All our proceeds goes to charity, whilst the bulk has been given back to the land islands, we are collaborating with international organisations such as the red cross.

Ok, if I have missed anything just ask away.
