Anyone had IOM - Malta jurisdiction e-mails?

In my spam-catching e-mail account I have had several e-mails lately from various sites I haven't played in a while or only played once then quit. GlobalLiveCasino is one, there's been a few others I can't recall, but a pattern seems to be forming. The e-mails are entitled 'important information regarding your account' and inform you of the casino's move from Isle Of Man to Maltese jurisdiction. There has to be something behind this, as it's not just one IOM licensed site but a few so far. Any ideas?
