Today, the 3th of July 2016 has been the absolute worst day when it comes to birthday bonusses since I play online casino's.
It is kinda odd as I have played at many casino's over the past few years but only very few seem to find it appropriate to send their customers a little birthday bonus/gift.
It actually pissed me off so badly that I have decided to close 22 of my current 24 active casino accounts.
There are casino's where I am a few grand in the minus on my life time results, made numerous deposits and very few cash outs.
I don't even play with bonusses so it is all my own money that they got in their pockets.
No biggie, that is gambling for ya.
At some casino's I am up but most casino's I am not which is kinda normal I suppose.

1 particular casino I am down 11k since I opened an account in 2012 as I am particular unlucky there.
No need to name and shame but I have had it with this casino.
Today I received an e-mail from them so I was delighted, thinking I would get something for my birthday.
No no no,not even a happy birthday e-mail..Just a plain ol' deposit today and receive up to 200% bonus crap e-mail while I NEVER respond to those as I do not play bonusses.

I want to thank Quasargaming for their birthday bonus as they ALWAYS have given me something for my birthday.
One of the best casino's out there and they have always been generous to me with random VIP bonusses and birthday pressies.
GUTS was the second on my list but I haven't played there anymore since Irish residents have been declined.
I can play there now again which I might do actually.

Virgin Games was the other casino that sent me a birthday pressie, thanks guys!!! Much appreciated.
I haven't even been a customer there for long so it surprised me a bit to find a bonus in my account.

People might find it is a bit of moaning for nothing but I just wanted to share my dissapointment.

I have given many casino's a lot of my cash and to simply not even once a year throw in a little freebie is beyond my comprehension.
It is a multi billion dollar industry but it is also a cold hard business.

I am on the verge really to quit online gambling and stick to landbased casino's.
At least when I go here to my local casino the first 10 Euro is always on the house and there is free food and drinks.
They seem to appreciate my custom.

As an online customer sometimes I just feel like a random number.

I had a lovely day,got loads of pressies from friends, family and colleague's so don't feel sorry LOL. ;)

But I really had hoped for some nice pressies from the casino's I have deposited many many times.

It seems these businesses hand out lesser and lesser pressies these days.
And I see this trend going from bad to worse over the years.

Not good.

But then again, thank God I am free to close my accounts where I want.
And sure a few will be closed by tonight.

Have a good Sunday evening.

Mark.

Good. F*ck 'em, Why should you give them any more of your money when they don't give a flying monkeys about you.

You are just a number to them, plus staff turnover in these casinos is likely quite high, so people that may have comped you in the past are long gone.

I'm just jealous that you can recollect all the casinos you've registered at. I'm lucky if I can remember 10! :(

ps Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Mark. :)

Have to concur with your experience.

The birthday perks are getting smaller and fewer every year. Last year i had 1.6% of my total deposits Jan-Jun in birthday bonuses (my birthday is June 18th), this year only 0.4% and some i actually had to ask for it. (I am brazen enough to do so :D )

Happy Birthday

Very similar experience on my birthday this year, even the VIP managers don't bother with an e-mail anymore.

Happy Birthday Mark!

Hey and thanks. :D
It just gets a bit frustrating sometimes.
Don't want to make it into a drama.
But I find the trend to get lesser and lesser bday pressies every year from the casino's I deposit quite a fair amount of money.

It probably IS a sign of being treated like a number rather than a person, but maybe not in the way you think.

It seems that they may have you down as "not interested in bonuses", so their algorithm is a bit stuck with what to offer for your birthday. However, you are not "bonus banned", so you will still be getting the "crap mailers". Unless you are a top VIP, it's probably a computer that is your "host" at the casino.

Closing a load of accounts and concentrating your play into fewer sites may actually mean you get noticed more, and could end up with a human VIP host, and thus they will be better able to figure out a way to reward the birthday of a player that does not normally use bonuses.

In the past, casinos would send out gifts and hampers, but this seems to have died back more recently. I got 1 last Christmas, a festive food hamper, still got the brandy pud, the cake, the pate, and a posh jam left.

Unless 200% deposit bonuses are the norm, I would say this IS your special birthday gift, and if so I probably know which casino this is ;)

The worst is when you have your birthday on a weekend. Those who normally check, or reading those threads in here:cool: are free.
I have mine in August but this year I won't expect any. Or maybe a few...but I guess I will remind them a couple of days before:p

Mine fell on a Sunday this year (2 weeks back today)

I did have the bear faced cheek to PM reps Friday evening with the weekend in mind and that they would probably wouldn't be about, also thinking 'Standard' support staff wouldn't be able to help much. (in the way of authorisation not helpfulness)

I have to say (and apologise for this as I am not trying to gloat or rub it in) but was very impressed with the response and the Birthday Gifts.

Always feel guilty about asking but then there is the old cliche 'If you do not ask, you do not get' :p

Just wanna give any casino reps lurking about a heads-up about my impending birthday. I expect one of you to come up with something good as I'm on the wrong side of 30 and am 'on the turn', like milk that's been left out of the fridge for half a day.

So you have been notified, I will do my utmost not to cash out from any freebies. But have a heart :(

Just as a reminder that's October 21st, so there's plenty of time to amend your ways.

October 21.

Well to top things off today I made x40 WR on Quasargaming bonus and I had some good hits.
Ended up on €333.10.
HOWEVER when I made the WR on the bonus my bonusbalance converted to real money balance and €200.00 was gone!
Like WTF!!

Really serious?
After going through 40x WR on Novo slots they take accumulated winnings in the bonus when converted to real money?

Dear Lotusch:

You got £100 quid and a pat on the back.

For my birthday I got a handful of cards & some underwear.

Now who's laughing! :(:(:(

This is nothing new. I got absolutely f*ck-all last December, albeit from fewer casinos than the OP is a member of. Then again, this is an expense for the casinos EVERY day, 365 days a year. And it isn't tied to depositing as it's a free chip, so will have some cost to the casino.

I think the problem as Vinyl infers, is that of an impersonal relationship, you are an automated account holder/player and often unrecognized by the casino until your expenditure hits a certain level that has the £ signs flashing in front of them when it triggers an alert. Then you may find your ass kissed.

This is what happened to me at Virgin (where bonuses are as rare a bird-shit in cuckoo clocks) when I spent enough to get a 'VIP' e-mail. If you remember in another thread back then, they were so bad at this that I got some derisory offer of a match limited to 10 or 20 quid (standard at 90% of sites lol) IF I made another deposit beforehand. It was so insulting that I fell about laughing, went on live chat and permanently closed the account after years of playing there. If they had not bothered at all I'd probably still be playing there. They were that shit-useless at what is appropriate for a supposed 'VIP' that I just could not take them seriously as a casino any more.

So yes, I can understand people feeling a bit miffed or piqued on their birthday - but my experience is that I'd rather be ignored and get sweet FA than some pathetic 5 or 10 quid with 35+ x WR. At least getting sweet FA means they are honest and they are simply making the statement "We area remote impersonal money-making business and you are just a numbered account which pays money to us and may take some from us occasionally - the least the better."

Well Happy Birthday, at least!

Sorry about the "gift" thing but I noticed a decline in that a few years back.

I have a birthday 3 weeks from today........... I know I will get ONE for sure!

3Dice! They always give a nice birthday chip!

Cheers!

Hi buddy!

First off, a Happy Belated B-Day to you!
Great to hear you had a good day, and a pity to hear most Casino's seemed to have ignored you ..
I say seemed, because my experience so far is that it isn't an automated process in most of the Casino's i play at: and like tiri said, most of the times my B-Day fell in the weekend, i had to wait til Monday to get 'noticed' :)

So in that regard you may still get a few surprises, and you may also want to check your snail mail and spamfolder:)
Sometimes B-Day mails from vip hosts will use an address that isn't in your safe senders list, or regular contacts..

Anyway, what i also mostly do, instead of being mad and closing my account, is being mad and kind of telling them they suck (nicely :p) and then am often surprised at their willingness to prove to me the opposite is true :D

Hope they all come a knockin soon, and other wise that you center your play on the ones that did, so they can even give you a better one next year!

Here's to you bud: :cheers::cheers:
