now it takes over a week

today, WDed, and see the fees went up
what was 2.50 is now 4.5

Skrill is so damn inconsistent

I've never used it so forgive my ignorance but when you say WDs take a week or you talking about the time it takes to hit your Skrill account from the casino or the time it takes after the casino has already paid and you're trying to get it out of the Skrill account? Guess I'm not understanding why it would take that long after it hits your account to be able to get it. Either way seems like a long time to get your money. Hell my checks from 3dice come in quicker than that.

lol, no from casino to skrill is instant - well, instant from when the casino sends it that is

from skrill to my bank acct, about a week now
seems I'm always phoning them, chasing them up
theyll swear they sent it, bank will swear they havent received it
push comes to shove demanding tracking numbers and skrill will be 'ooooh, we meant it JUST went out today'

it used to be, it came to my bank the following day, now it seems, well, whenever they get around to it....2 days, 12 days, w/e

then about every month, there's new terms...fees are less...yay...then, fees are more....booo
i swear they have a wheel with a spinner with spaces like 'WDs in a day', 'WDs in 2 week', 'let's rewrite the terms'

K, I get it now  .

I can't stand paying fees on my money unless it's very very small. ATM fees about make me sick . Some are close to $ 4.00. and I know it doesn't cost anywhere near that to process my transaction. Sorry not to get side tracked. Just saying...me hate fees.

Perhaps it may have something to do with the availability of funds on their Canadian account.

Approximately 5-6 years ago, it took Moneybookers 3 weeks to transfer money to my bank account. I also chased it but to no avail; and just when I thought it was hopeless, the money arrived.

Then I started using it some time after that and the service improved and during the last year, it always arrived in the bank account the next business day.

My conjecture was that the service improved as a result of more Czechs having accounts at Moneybookers and, consequently, Moneybookers having more funds in their account in a Czech bank from which they make the withdrawal transfers.
So perhaps it was a one-time thing because of some miscalculation on their behalf...

I rarely had a wire transfer from Skrill take less than 3 business days to post to my bank account. The longest has been 5 business days.

The jump to $4.50 is substantial.

It's the $14 incoming foreign wire fee that kills me. (my bank's end).

Did you notice if there was a change to the cheque fee? It was just a little more than $5 recently.

Not sure. Skrill to my bank has always been 10 bucks wire transfer fee, and the 2.5 from Skrill. I'll see when funds arrive. I assume the 4.50/10. I don't think I've used a cheque in 20 years lol

If it wasn't so annoying I'd laugh and say "Congratulations! You've managed to find a webwallet with a pending period".

Seriously, I liked them when they were plain old Moneybookers, but they aren't a touch on Neteller.

I have no comment on skrill not used it, but that picture of the dog and kitten is so great, is that your own or obtained from the “net”?

Made me smile nevertheless and thanks.

lol, they're mine, just snapped a candid this afternoon - he's learned to scale the couch to climb on the dog ;) he's only just been allowed out of the cell to explore

I just wonder why you want to transfer it to your bank at all?
Doesn't Skrill also have a Master Card that you can use?
I have mine from Neteller and I haven't made a transfer in two years to my bank. I use my card for everything. In rare occasions I need to use an ATM but I avoid that since it cost me $6 every time + currency fees.

You can use that card just the same way you use your bankaccount, both of you, and it doesn't cost anything either.
Take a look at it. You maybe don't have anything to lose :)
If it's the same kind as Neteller has...

Over the past several months, RBC in particular, has been closing down bank accounts that are receiving wired funds via Skrill. I received a letter from them a few weeks ago, warning me about using my account for any gambling related activity, so I've opened up a new account with a different bank. Word of mouth is that the best options going forward for Canadians would be to use BMO, CIBC, or Credit Union. Scotia Bank and TD are perceived as being the next two to follow the route that RBC is taking.

For the record, I haven't been putting/using any of my funds from my RBC account towards gambling (specifically poker now), I've only been wiring money from PokerStars -> Skrill -> RBC. I originally suspected it raised some flags because the money wired was in USD, but even those wiring the funds in CND still have had the same problems.

I have the Mastercard from Skrill as well.
So I never upload funds to my bank.
If money on the card, mostly from casino withdrawals or stuff I sell online I can go to an ATM to withdraw up to €500 cash a day and up to €3000 in PoS in shops so I have yet no issues with Skrill.
As long as my monies are there and I can use them as a third party payment processor I have no issues with them.

And the prepaid Mastercard is a great addon to their services.
I use it for nearly everything,up to paying for my groceries and petrol. :D

It's only very recently (past three months maybe?) that there has been a credit card offered by Skrill to Canadians, which can be used for purchasing or withdrawing at ATMs.

But the big problem lies with the fact the card is in US dollars. So I guess pay to convert your CAD to US, then get dinged big time if you want to use those US dollars here at home, or heavens forbid, withdraw at a ATM machine. It is fast however. I looked over the info when I received a mail that a card was now available to Canadians, but I can't see it holding any attraction from me. Might work for those Canadians who have US dollar Skrill accounts they use however, or shop online from US sources.

If they offer it CAD soon, I would probably get one.

I made a recent inquiry, to find out if RBC would allow cheques from Skrill (as opposed to wired funds). The person that I had spoken to - RBC's Regulatory Support Team - felt that there "shouldn't" be a problem, since the cheque would be in CND, and that the funds wouldn't be hitting the U.S.; going directly from Skrill (U.K.) to my RBC account in Canada. Still, "it shouldn't" be a problem isn't "it won't" be a problem.

The person who I had talked to, was understanding and very helpful, and it didn't sound like he/she cared for their vague policies when it came to online gambling.

shame

i just noticed it takes forever now it used to be very quick might move more over to my ecopayz account as i got the atm card i think its euro currency but it works in Australia im not fussed about being charged $6 all up when i take out 200 that includes the atm fee here might look into netella also now

Mines changed to 3.98 from 2.5 nothing major but still sucks, but i like when i make a withdraw to my bank account its less than 24hours and the second i get a email confirmation withdraw been processed i got money in my bank instantly.

I know Canadians are not allowed to use Neteller, however; anyone else that can use the service doesn't necessarily need to pay $6 per ATM withdrawal.

I get 10 'Withdrawal Fee's' credited back to my Neteller account every month. They also offer 10 of your highest charges for Credit Card Uploads back each month.

In a nutshell I get 10 Free Withdrawals as well as 10 Free uploads a month. I have a US$ and a Eur account but from time to time I incur currency charges transferring money...

If anyone has the ability to use Neteller I suggest you do... I simply HATE Skrill.

Nate

I have just managed to reach Bronze level of Vip staus at Neteller and there is a little difference in what you and I have to pay Nate. Nothing is credited back to my account and I do have to pay my fee to take my money out.
The last time I checked I would have to pay $20 for a wiretransfer so the convertingfees doesn't bother me when I use my card.
