Sooo...
Above casino asked me verify my cards etc.. All good. I told them the paypal was closed and one of the creditcards was replaced with the new one.

They needed both so I had to ask my bank to make a statement saying I used to own the card and had to ask paypal to reopen the account.

In their request is said the paypal had to show my name, email, date and the website. I sent that, they claimed that they asked for the address to be there too. I showed them that they did not ask for that.

Now they come back saying the address they have on file for me is different. I told them that it is the right address. They say ok. And then they say they cannot accept a bankstatement as proof of address but want a utility bill..

AS I rent all included even with council tax and have top-up electricity... I cannot verify. They are not helpful at all..

Is it normal to not accept a bankstatement as proof of address?
 
To add to this: Is it normal that they have let me deposit over 1K... but all of a sudden now cant verify my address? isn't that something that should be verified when opening the account?
Or do they just need name+age?

I wonder if they have someone new working on verifications cos I had hassle with them last week, but just closed my Fun account rather than do what they were asking. I believe Jan was travelling late last week, so he may be away for a few days or something, he will reply when he's around though, you have no worries with L&L casinos :)

Yes, I always see Jan replying here so no shame to him in anyway. It's just annoying that they play around with me, send me from here to there.. Keep changing what they say and ask for...

I have e-mails saying the bankstatement has a different address.. And I have chats confirming it has the right address but they don't take bankstatements..
 
but is it normal that a bankstatement is not valid as address verification?
not in my experience
after all, if it's accepted as legitimate proof it's your bank, it should suffice as proof its your address
 
The list that was sent to me

Residential address
This can be verified by sending a coloured photo of a recent utility bill (e.g. water/electricity/phone bill) which meets the following requirements:
1. As long as your full name, postal address and the document date of issue is showing then any of these documents above are acceptable as proof of address. You are allowed to cover personal information.
2. All four corners of the documents must be showing, without folding it as we require a complete document.
3. Note that the document must have a date of issue that is not older than 3 months.
4. Digital documents can also be accepted.


Not sure why a bank statement isn't on there, a lot of people dont have utility bills, anyone living with parents or people in halls at uni.

none of the utilities are in my name - i use my bank statement every time as proof of address

I had the same issue with trada last week but they accepted bank statement as proof of address.
Sometimes I think some of these casinos out source a lot of the administrative tasks including KYC surely there must be firm guidelines that they can and can not accept one doc suites with one casino but another won't touch it.
 
I think they need to be clear on why the need this. Is this a UK account? If it's to satisfy initial verification then this should have been asked for before a deposit. If its AML/Advanced KYC then they need to advise on sign up that this further doc may have be asked for. Does the address on the bank statement match exactly the sign up and is it an actual posted statement and not an online transaction statement?

It is exact same address as on sign up and it is my monthly hsbc statement.

I've had similar issues with various sites, some were so pedantic I just told them to close the account and I'd play at any of the dozens of other places I was already verified and wasn't given such a hassle.. As a backup however I took a screenshot of my CRA (canada revenue) e-statement and point out that the bank statement that they didn't accept, my ID, my ecopayz acct and the government issued official document all match..
(plus I have a pic of my license held up with the house number behind it, geotagged to the street and city... IT'S VERIFIED FROM OUTER SPACE!!!)

other than inviting them to dinner or having them babysit I don't see what more they could need...

Haven't had many issues since.

(edit to add I have faith in Jan, they may say he doesn't make those decisions and their hands are tied, but then he smiles sweetly or buys them shots or something and they'll loosen up a little I bet)

I would predict that Jan may have a lot on right now, jumping through whatever hoops the UKCG are putting out for him.
I believe that it was the UKGC audit a couple of weeks ago.... I wonder if the audit have highlighted something within their procedures relating to anti money laundering.
I think it might be a case of us doing as much as we can to cooperate where possible for now. Jan is very good to us here.
Personally, I am struggling to verify my ABC account due to being asked for very old and redundant cards/closed accounts.... so my plan is to play at an alternative L&L casino, a newer one, where I requested that it be verified and checked within the first week of opening it. No old cards to find etc.
