Tonight at alljackpots i i joined the free 200 tombraider tourney. Getting down to less then 3 min to play i land in 5th place as time runs out im in 7th place. So when asked to redeposit I do. Takes the money game starts up i land the free spins after a couple of spins in it retriggers so now im left with 13 free spins 2 min few seconds left to play next spin in i get sorry alljackpots error casino closing down. After few more attempts after logging back in i keep reading im not in any tourney at all. Then on another log in first page says would you like to keep playing your tourney well yes paid the money so lets let me finish my few minutes. takes me to the lobby page and now i read your time is up redeposit, not only that i never did get the amount i won from the few free spins and now they want more money for me to continue just as im reading that lobby states now sorry tourney closed. This isnt first time this has happened strange enough never does if its a free tourney, anyone else had probs with tourneys plse do share. I have left a msg on here with their rep so lets see how that goes. Its not the point of losing the 2 dollars to play on but if the casino has this many probs when we add the money in to play on then maybe its time they take that option away and just make it a free tourney to all. But then if 800 of us played and 500 of us added 2 dollars in then that alone paid for that tourney and many others as im sure im not the only one this has happened to

Happens at all the casinos using tournaments, of course if you email support you get the generic response of "your ran out of coins/time, not our fault, no refunds". The main reason I don't bother with rebuys, just get in the pay tournaments, most of the time they'll let you play the entire time/coin allowance.

What gets me about those tournaments is the same person registering, I presume via different casinos, for the same tournaments. Most of them have no shame either and just add a number or dash to their name (see photo). Gabriel is mild, there's usually about 20 variations of ant-nik hanging around on the free tournaments. You'd think they wouldn't have time to play with all those names, but they usually manage.

Isn't this the same as cheating? Seems like Micro can stop you from creating multiple accounts at the same casino, yet they can't stop you from multiple entries into tournaments? There should be a way to catch these jerks and ban them from all tournaments at any MG casino.

And another thing, the people that play the weekender feeder tournaments that have already won a free entry, geez.. get a life people.

There are a lot of problems with the tourneys at this casino, sometimes with registration and sometimes logging in at tourney time. The tourney lasts for a total of 15 minutes but as long as they permit a rebuy the win from the free spins should remain intact. I made 3 rebuys for a tourney at this casino some time ago but everything went off smoothly. Admittedly this is different as the tourney lasted 2 days.

Let's here what David brickman has to say about this. Keep us posted Lauram.

I assume that they will have to use different computers to register more than once even under different names.

No, it's the "Ladbrokes bug". At Ladbrokes you are FORCED to register a second ID, and support have confirmed this a number of times. MG simply look the other way and have no interest in tackling this. This tells these "cheats" that although multiple entry is not allowed, it is NOT ENFORCED, and can thus get away with it. By signing up at Ladbrokes under a second alias, it also shows that the MPV system does NOT block this, and all that is necessary is to say "not me" if the MPV detects your current alias on the system, and you will be able to sign up for a third, fourth, etc. As more casinos join in, the scope for increasing the number of aliases grows.
This "cheating" is of little value in the short tournaments of around 15 to 30 minutes, but for the events lasting a day or more, there is PLENTY of time to use a load of aliases to find a few that go well on the first and FREE round.

Players who play the feeders for the weekender after having won an entry are possibly under the impression that they can win "continues" on top, but may also be seeking to reduce the field by winning extra entries, and thus denying free entries to others. The persistent offenders have probably figured out they don't get extra continues, so are probably just playing the free round hoping to remove another free entry from the field.

There are CONSTANT problems with these tournaments, and there has been no material improvement after a YEAR of operation. Players who fall victim to these problems are also expected to "eat" the costs themselves, even though normally a malfunction VOIDS a bet when in the casino itself.

There are simple measures MG can take to ensure that temporary technical problems do not cause players to lose out, but they choose not to, preferring that players swallow the costs from an imperfect system given that they can easily fob off the player by blaming THEIR end for the issues.

When a CASINO disconnects, you can simply play on from where you left off, but this is NOT the case with MPV, which is INTOLERANT of any disconnect or internet speed issues, however fleeting.

Yes seems in any tourney i have been in there is same names on board matching one or another. But i dont think its the same player here is how a tourney is set up and reason people use close sounding screen names. So say if tourney is by first name lets use abby for example she picks abby for that tourney, next in comes another abby well she cant use that name but can use abby1 so she registers this as you play you notice if your money is the same in tourney as abby you are now ranked one lower then the first so now your reading 10th place abby 11th place abby1, Also As new players log in they like to see their names up on that first page so now they started using numbers in front of their names now they use these dashes ... --- then that makes them closer to first on the list to play. It would be hard to play from 2 puters unless you have your home puter and lap top that roams for a signal from your area you live in. I had a lot of probs when i lost my first computer not long ago and bought a new one and loaded up my casinos again cable company must of given me a new isp server number and i had to justify my play with more then one casino why i wasnt playing from my home computer.
Few of them did land calling me at home while i was in their casino trying to log in and after verify my log in and them chatting with me i was ok to continue on so i dont think a casino would let someone play a tourney with their isp number the same as 4 or 5 other players in same tourny. With saying that also does bring up the question what happens if someone is playing from work, school, dorm, public computer, where there is one roaming router and few hundred others logged on, If more then one of those people are in the same tourney does the casino pick that isp up and remove them or do they get to continue on then you could have more then one person playing same tourney. I have won a few tourneys here and there and my confirming email in a few does show my win and the username and isp number i played from,
But would also like to hear from a rep from a casino on this to see if im wrong or right.

Emma their rep did get back to me and thanks for that seems they didnt see any probs with their system and more or less i guess we all get disconnected from time to time. They also ask next time to email support right away well as any player knows when not dealing with live chat that issue doesnt get very far.
So whats the answer here folks keep playing tourneys get frustrated or avoid them, im sure im not the only person that this has happened to, maybe they should revamp their system as if you played land based tourney and your machine goes down i wonder how they deal with that prob,

The answer for me is to only play the occasional free tourney and never rebuy. I'm not giving them money so I can play buggy tourneys. If I get booted when playing for free, so be it. (Happens a lot.) But they're not getting the chance to do it when I've got money in it.

I almost never play these anymore as I usually get the 'you're not entered into any tourneys' when the tourney is starting, software freezes up, and it's supposed to take me to the game.

I don't bother anymore

I have totally lost interest in these tourneys. If you can even get registered, and then actually be lucky enough to not have the darn thing cancel on you, then the slot runs slow as hell. Last time I played in one, I got about 6 spins per minute. Screw theses fake free tournaments! Again, just my 2 cents.

Hi everyone,

David Brickman, Jackpot Factory Spokesman, here...

There have been some technical glitches with the tournament software from time to time. Microgaming acknowledges that there is a problem and is working quite hard to fix all of them. If anybody does experience a particular problem I highly encourage them to take a screen shot and send it to our support team who can pass it along to MGS.

Regarding players with numerous aliases, I was unable to catch our tournament manager today to get a response on this issue, and I myself am unsure of the answer. I will do my best to post a response on this within 24 hours.

All the best,

David Brickman

You will find nothing amiss,
This is because of how this "cheat" works.

Each alias would be at a DIFFERENT MG GROUP, and thus your local records will not show any duplicated players. Maybe these "cheats" will slip up & register different aliases at All Slots & All Jackpots, then you WILL be able to check up on them.

Because Ladbrokes MPV FORCE players to use a second MPV alias, it CLEARLY WORKS when it comes to getting duplicate entries in the GLOBAL events, such as the weekender. The system allows this, although if a single player WON big prizes with both aliases, MG might have something to investigate.

MG are the only ones who can perform a full investigation of the MPV system aliases and underlying details, but so far they refuse to respond to concerned players, and simply tell casino operators who ask about this "not to worry their pretty little heads" about it, or words to that effect.

Hi everyone,

David Brickman here. Regarding aliases, here is the information I have received from our tournament manager.

"When a player has an alias in one casino and he tries to register for a tournament in a different casino, the system will recognize him and ask him to confirm his alias. Nevertheless, it's possible that when the player plays at a different casino he can override this alias. But the same player can not have different aliases in the same casino"

If anybody has any other tournament specific questions please either PM me or post here.

All the best and a great weekend to everyone!

This is simply the "fobbing off" that all players who have tried to get this issue dealt with have received. as I said, there is NO INTEREST WHATSOEVER in fixing this centrally.

It is true that a player cannot have different aliases in the same casino, but this is hardly the point. Players can have a different alias in each different MG casino offering these tournaments, and this can result now in about a DOZEN separate aliases per "cheat", and the figure is growing. NONE of this so far involves these "cheats" opening multiple casino accounts with one casino, thus they will not be detected by the usual security checks.

When a player has an alias in one casino and he tries to register for a tournament in a different casino, the system will recognize him and ask him to confirm his alias.

Wrong again, at Ladbrokes, the system DOES NOT recognise an existing alias, but FORCES the player to choose alias number two for the MPV network. Ladbrokes say this is not a fault, but is by design and that players CANNOT use a MPV alias they have registered at a different casino, such as All Jackpots.
"cheating" further simply involves exploiting this by forcing it out in other casinos offering MPV.

All that the Jackpot Factory tournament manager has done is to confirm thst this cheat works, but have said nothing to indicate that it is an issue as far as they are concerned, an attitude shared by ALL casinos who have so far been approached by players regarding this issue.

Players have no choice but to vote with their feet, either join in with this "cheating" to level the playing field, or get out of MPV altogether.

The ONLY tournaments not vulnerable to this "cheat" are those specific to one casino, or one casino group, where internal security would detect a player using one alias at, say, All Jackpots, and another at, say, All Slots.

If it's the same as MGS' poker network (aka Prima), all you have to do is download and register an account at a MGS casino you previously don't have an account with, and you will be given the option to create a new alias. The only requirement that stands is that you have a different email address not associated with any other alias....at least that's how it'd work at the poker rooms. At least Prima was smart enough to only allow you to log in to one poker room at a time, which alleviated people to be able to play with multiple aliases at the same time from the same computer.

One other way is to create an additional user account on your XP/Vista system, log in to that, and go through the steps outlined above. Or, you can simply (temporarily) delete all the MGS software keys from your registry, etc etc...
