Hi my name is ced. I am an international student from Philippines here in Canada. I love to play online casino for a long time. Im 38 y/o. Since it was just less than a year when i came here in canada, I dont have any government issued documents here in the country, an agent told me that i cannot withdraw my winning from playing on their online casino app because im not a canadian person. The agent told me to provideany id issued here in canada and I only have my Philippines passport. I think that was not fair. I deposited money to thier app but I cannot withdraw my winnings? it doesnt make any sense. And my deposited amount wasnt refundable according to an agent. Kindly give me some tips on how to deal with this. my estimated winning amount is more or less a thousand dollars

Hello @orgen11 ,

Sorry to hear of your troubles but you’ll need to be a little more specific about your circumstances. You say you hold a Philippines passport but you are in Canada — legally — as a student. Is that correct?

If yes, and you’ve been in Canada more than 6 months, then you must have some government issued document to verify your status, even if it’s a Super Visa allowing you an extended visit for family reasons. It’s been a while since I’ve been a student in Canada but you couldn’t even register at your school without some government documents to show that you are legally in the country and have permission to stay for the duration of your studies. Back in my day it was a student visa but it seems they’re now calling it a Study Permit.

The bottom line is that you can’t be in Canada legally for that amount of time without having been issued permission to do so or some other special circumstances apply (Armed Forces, refugee status, native heritage, etc). You’ll have to be more explicit about your circumstances if you want us to offer useful advice.

Yep this is spot on, I was able to use my visa documents as a supporting document during my verifications.

I would upload a proof of address, UK passport and my residence permit.

Thank you for your responses, in addition, the agent told me as well that i cannot play thier onlne casino unless i am a canadian citezen. I can deposit in my account here in canada bu i cant play and widthraw my funds? Its not making any sense right?

captain jack casino
I believe this is an Ace Revenue casino.

I know that Tawni is a rep for Virtual Group. Ace revenue are essentially thr same entity but I'm unsure if they get covered by the same rep.

Perhaps staff can weigh in.

I'd say you have a decent chance of resolution via a representative or a complaint

Before I realised this was an Ace site and not just a random unlicenced casino, I was going to say you had a very very low chance of getting anything back.

How much are we talking anyways, hopefully not too big.
