all british casino review and experience to date

There are some really good points raised there and yes, that’s it!! Someone nailed why I was so pissed...: it wasn’t the waiting so much as the casino playing judge jury and executioner as stated earlier....

I didn’t really k ow why I was getting so wound up but that’s it.... it’s having to send a LOT of personal/business info and then waiting to see if some random found it acceptable for me to be playing slots in my spare time with MY money!!!

Couple that with being told my accountant was wrong ( they were not ) and that I would have to get my payslips changed !!

And yes as also stated, I’m sure they would prefer not to have to do it either...

It’s a shit situation and what makes it worse is that they all differ so much in what they expect that when you come across an anally retentive one you can’t help but compare to others and think it’s unnecessary!!

It almost feels like blackmail ( obviously it’s not ) but it’s a case of... reveal all your personal info or we will confiscate your money.

And keep revealing it until we say stop

I fully understand that it's not feeling great to send all your financial and business information to company which is located other side of Europe.

Meant just say all the time that it's not about what people want to, it's now there, no exceptions and it's very rare thing that regulations like this big will be ever removed.

It sucks but just can't see any better option if willing to play slots. Make that once much as possible and play in same place which you can trust that things sort out after all some way.

edit: That's really not happy for casinos or players, but these just are regulations. Casinos don't happily spend millions to be compliant, but they have to improve their technics, have people to do these, would be great to have some independent 3rd party handling all of these but can't see that government who informs that next year we use £xx millions to build national compliance center with taxpayers money for online gamblers and other hand £xx millions to Gamstop and other help organizations.

Oh yes, I agree. It has turned rather crazy. I deposited millions (not equal with losses) between 1998-2006 before I was asked the first time to verify a casino account. It was an El Dorado, like a gold rush.

Laws and regulations have changed massively since then. Both sides suffer. The player with the annoyance to be asked for everything but a DNA sample and the casinos because they have a huge risk to be heavily fined if they do not do it by the book.

From the 1998-2006 halcyon days, to the Videoslots 10p Thursday battles: did your deal with the Devil come to an abrupt end?:p

As you have an ongoing PAB in progress, you should not be commenting in this thread again until your PAB is resolved, otherwise you run the risk of the PAB being binned.

Hi LH..... I didn’t open a PAB I was advised to sit right and wait it out ....

Got to say thats a wonderful name ...National Compliance Centre, almost makes you want to send everything there, sounds so official and secure.

@Sasukdcf
Under your name, there is a PAB indicator. As far as I am aware, the only person who can instigate a PAB is the person who has the issue. A PAB indicator just doesn't appear out of nowhere.
Apparently it does as I have no open PAB and haven’t raised one for this issue which is now resolved anyway.

Regarding these SOW, are they done just to detect possible money laundering?

And regarding affordability, how does that work. Is it a % of your monthly income you are "allowed" to spend on gambling, and what about people with substantial savings.

The more I think about it its getting very sinister when we have companies telling us we cant spend our own money in a way we want to. What next, SOWs before you can do your weekly shop or book a holiday.

I refuse to submit a SOW to any casino because call me old fashioned but how much I earn and am worth is none of their business.

If there's question about your affordability, then one of the questions can be how these deposits are funded and confirm all funds used have legit sources. It's these days hard to keep playing and not get SOW request at some point, getting to new casino every time when getting SOW request is an option but maybe not really convenient either.

You do end up asking yourself if you really want to gamble and is it worth the hassle,I reckon I have spent more
time locked out of Mecca/Grosvenor than I have playing, you give them the time they ask for to verify docs
then ask for a progress update and they tell you no idea when it might be sorted.Been 5 days and getting very
fed up, dont know whether chasing them up helps or not.Keep thinking is it worth trying yet another casino
or will it just be the same story.Packing up might give me more peace.
