A question for 32Red.

Greetings exalted ones :notworthy.

I would like to ask a question if I may, one that I have been itching to ask for many months and the present climate has inspired me to ask now.

A quick trawl through many threads/posts here from the past few months will reveal a growing trend in the number of players looking for new software providers to play at (me included), a vast majority of these are trying NetEnt based casinos, of which many are a hybrid and using various different software`s, which leads me to my question....

Excuse me if I sound somewhat impertinent that is not my intention ;), here goes....Have you guys ever considered branching out and incorporating new software`s across your portfolio of casinos (or to try a solitary approach to test the water as such at just 32Red, and take it from there)?.

I`m a die-hard fan of MGS, no doubting that, but sometimes, just sometimes I need that extra something, which has led me on my journey to try other software`s.

Thanks in advance.....

Roy.

Hi Roy

Many thanks for the question. This is something that often crosses my mind and as you can imagine is never as simple as it may seem.

We are also huge fans of MG’s games and have a great deal of confidence in MG’s ability to help us meet the needs of our players in a fair, entertaining and easy-to-use format. I am not up to speed personally but I am sure there would be drawbacks if we didn’t use MG games exclusively and we are very sensitive to any potential negative impact on our players’ experience at the casino or our ability to deliver it. In many ways, whilst we offer a (hopefully) sophisticated and stylish casino, we like to keep it as simple as possible so that we can concentrate on giving our players tip top service and value for money gaming. I think other operators sometimes underestimate just how difficult it is to do these things.

I hope that makes sense but I have made sure Ed is aware of your question (I am sure he’ll have picked it up anyhow).

Best wishes

Mark

Thanks for the very early response Mark, and it sure makes sense, your player - support aspect will never be in question, I know there will be complex reasons that we mere players will never be aware of, but I also know that online gambling is a great business and you guys are top of the tree (no doubting that), so with this increasing market trend of many new/old casinos using various software`s it could also be a very astute long term investment ;).

Cheers for replying Mark .

Wow, escalated to the CEO, that is a company that takes opinions/questions seriously. Well done Mark and team.

Indeed, did we expect anything less lol, I for one often think how 32Red could be any better, and all I can come up with (apart from receiving Angelina Jolie`s phone number for a xmas present) was maybe different software`s, then I would have all my needs catered for under one roof, am I being a tad selfish here?.

Its funny to stumble upon this thread now, as i talked to a friend about the same thing last week... I only play at 32red (like 80% of my gambling) and several netent-casinos (the other 20%).

Sometimes i simply get bored with the MGS games and find the netent-slots a refreshing change of pace... But moving money around from one site to the other always takes some time and this is annoying (at least for me).

I also don´t really like having all those accounts at different sites because of the hassles this brings. Like sending in personal documents to several different companies, or getting bunches of promotional emails all the time... etc....

I trust the company and am always perfectly happy with the customer-support at 32red, so for me it would be the perfect solution, if they would start offering netent-games in their casino.

But the problem i see is, that this could lead to a decline in the quality of the support because it makes everything more complicated. For example by having different t&c´s for the different software-providers (bonus terms, etc...). If you know the in and outs of your product 100% and are regarded as the best company offering this product, it is always a risky proposition trying to get into a new / at least a bit different product...

Well I recently just realized the flash browser version of MG has a small set of different games and that has kept me occupied for awhile :p

Its not a lot, but interesting if you never tried, won a good sum on some of those games.

If a casino stays with just one casino software provider their contract terms would be more beneficial i.e. less money for the casino to pay the provider in % terms. If you add other providers then turnover / profit will be split meaning extra cash to pay.. thats the real reason folks!!

is it not possible to cherry pick certain slots from different providers without haveing to get there whole back catalouge
you could then ask players which slots they want at 32 and supply to the demand
i have not played very much recently but i find mg and netent have the nicest graphics and most entertaining slots
some of the ones at sky vegas are just plain depressing they look like the have been desingned by 8 year olds with crayons

I don't think that is quite right. From what I understand the fee the casinos pay the software providers is a % of the profit on each software's games - so it wouldn't actually cost the casinos any more in that respect.
But I have also heard that NetEnt's fees are higher than most other providers, so from that point of view, adding them might not be very attractive for the casinos.

Yes, operators pay a fee to Net Entertainment based on how much revenue the gaming system generates.

There will probably also be some startup costs etc.

Example of casino deal with software providers:
Upfront €35k
Operations fee/month €5k

Rev Share ( license fee )
€0-€500k - 15%
€500k-€1m - 13.5%
€1m+ - 11%

Therefore if you add additional software providers, profits will be split and revenue share paid out increased...

(JUST AN IDEA)

keep the actual casinos of 32red group in mg exclusive, and create a new casino with other software provider (but with the same reputation that you have right now) ?
