888.com aka Cassava Enterprises aka CON

Please note: We certainly apopreciate these positive first steps announced by 888, but a gauge of real progress is when we see that scrapers and spammers are no longer directing their traffic to 888.

Once we see that take place we will KNOW that these new guidelines are actually being enforced and arent merely a Public Relations exercise.

I think that is a KEY development I am eagerly awaiting.

Good one, Lou. I'm just waiting for them to address the activities that Casava has been up to with casinoonnet-online.com etc. They haven't made a peep about this.

I will see If we can't get the cat to release their tongue on this one too

As you say, "so far, so good," Lou.

I sincerely hope that all thinking and professional affiliates are rallying around you in this collaborative effort which has such potential to start bringing the black hats under control.

As a first move this looks encouraging to me. I'm sure your colleagues will avail themselves of the offer to report any black hat activity that surfaces and who is responsible for it...that's the way to start whittling these black hats down.

I think your correct, if the affiliates can stay together.
But unfortunately these kind of groups often have a way of slipping apart before things are completed.

We have been togther since 2000 Brad and we certainly hope to be that way in another 6 years also.

Hmmm...
Hope so.

But there are already breaks in the group and it looks like more to come.

We should also be clear here, the action of CAP helped in this disagreement with 888, but what REALLY brought 888 to the table was an email and then a follow up call from the google spam fighting team, informing the 888 management to stop the search engine spamming or face being banned from google.

BTW - that is Googles new way of dealing with large companies that spam the search engines, contact them directly and tell them to stop then if they don't stop they get banned.

So while you do deserve a pat on the back Lou, don't get too carried away. :)

BTW Lou, I never did see your 888 Rogue page, what was the URL again?
Not the forum URL but the 888 rogue page you put up.

Tsk Tsk Tsk Banned at CAP, Banned at GPWA and now flaming CAP here at CasinoMeister. You just dont get along well with others do you (last name edited out, irrelevant and too personal)?

Perhaps someday YOU can be a player and contributer in the industry instead of just a bitter side line sniper...

Not flaming CAP. Where do you see that?

However, using my real name in an open forum without my permission is rather low bro.

You did not answer my question.

Making physical threats via email would be considered low brow behavior too Bradley. My attornies think so and have forwarded your materials on to law enforcement in xxxxx. You can expect to be served with a civil action early next week.

I advise you to stop harrassing me and taking shots at CAP we intend to hold you fully liable for your actions both criminally and civily.

What are you going on about?

And just who is flaming who here?

Why would you want to bring all this 'personal' stuff to a forum about 888 being rogued?

Why don't you just stick to the subject of the thread?

Sounds like you have taken care of any 'personal' problems you may have, so why bring them up here?

post deleted - please keep the personal details out, this is not the place to be waging battle.

Do the Valdez's know you are doing legal activities on their property Bradley?
Give me a break, just what is your problem?

Are you really that pissed that I pointed out it was google that really truly brought 888 to the table and not you or CAP?

No I am pissed that you decided to attack CAP and me personally and threaten to attack me physically in Las Vegas. That was way over the line and not a mere discussion on a message board Bradley. That made it personal.

Perhaps in your little fantasy world you believe you can stalk people from your little farm house in Idaho and that you can insult and threaten them with impunity, but it aint so. I have people in the real world following up on this as we speak. I will see you in court UNLESS you stop harrassing me and trying to damage my business.

Last warning... LEAVE ME AND CAP ALONE

First - This is not the time or place.

Second - I have not attacked you or CAP physically or otherwise, if you think so you need some help of some kind. Or better yet you should just re-read what I wrote after you sober up/cool down.

Third - Can we get back to the subject, without you attacking and flaming me? I am sure most of the people reading this don’t want to read all this crap.

Getting back on topic is the best suggestion here.

I have no idea what Google may or may not have done (and probably only 888 knows for certain anyway) It goes without saying that a threat of expulsion from that outfit would carry a lot of weight.

What I do know with certainty is that several people pulled more than their weight behind the scenes to get this promising collaboration in motion, and the Professor is very definitely one of them.

So let's just agree that it was a combination of activity and see some cohesive affiliate support for the process....please!

(and probably only 888 knows for certain anyway)
Google knows. :)

Google has changed their spam policy quite a bit in the last few months when it comes to dealing with large companies that spam their index.

You can find all the details about this new policy on the google blog and a few other places that focus on search engine stuff.

And I did say that Lou deserved a pat on the back...

I most certainly agree it was of a collaboration of events which dragged 888 back to the barginning table. I am anticpating several more fireworks displays. Many people had worked in private, as well.

Just a quick update on this 888 issue.

Well 888 and their ‘special affiliate’ are back at it again... bigger and better than before.

Perdy smart for a scumbag spammer, wait till people think the problem has been delt with and solved, then hit again.

The coalition at CAP has fallen apart.
Google is being apathetic about the whole 888 thing.
Looks to me like 888 and their scumbag affiliate has won the war.

So it does pay to be a persistent scumbag...

Lots0, detail and facts, please.

I'm sure The Professor would have posted here if his CAP initiative had gone to the dogs.
