Firstly, I'd like to emphasize the positives concerning 3Dice before I go on a rant and sound like I'm just a disgruntled player. There is not a better front person in the online casino industry than 3Dice's Enzo. Period! He's reachable, fair, knowledgable, and generous. He also seems about as honest and open as you're going to find in this type of industry. Payments are hassle-free and ultra-fast, and the future looks quite bright for this casino..... but,
If you're a slots player, you have to get used to the fact that you're not going to have the freedom to run very far away from a machine that begins to be going very bad on you because there are only 4 video slots at this time. People like myself who are used to jumping from game to game among the 100+ choices with Microgaming software are going to feel pretty limited here until they build up their slots selection. No fault of their own really, because everyone had to start somewhere.
In my opinion after many thousands of spins on the slots is that as far as the payouts go, the bonus rounds carry far too much "weight" . Decent line hits are very,very,very, rare. Did I say rare yet? Because they are! That needs to be emphasized. A 5 of a kind Symbol hit is something you may see only once in 10 sessions from my experience on King Tut and Happy Valley.... and by "Symbol Hit" I mean anything besides the A, K, Q, J, etc. Now taking this into consideration, if you do go 1000 spins without the bonus round as Gaahl has stated, and I don't believe he's exaggerating, you will not survive. In fact, you may see it as one of your most dissatisfying playing experiences ever. I've left that way many a time.
There's nothing worse than going 1000+ spins with no decent line hits only to end up with a bonus round that pays 10-40 times your wager. You cannot last long that way. In my opinion they can't have it both ways if they want to keep players interested. Bonus rounds are sometimes so rare, that there shouldn't ever be a shitty one in my opinion given the fact that "line hits" are even more rare.
Having said that, I will say that I haven't lost all faith in the company and will continue to use them as my primary choice because I believe that better things are on the horizon. I believe they truly heed the advice and opinions of the players.
With the advent of more slots with differing degrees of variance, I think they will eventually become more well rounded and able to satisfy all types of players. Until then... don't get too comfortable when your credits are up because the downside is a bitch!
I hope 3Dice takes this in the spirit that it was intended. It's not posted to disuade any players from taking their business to them, but more of a heads up as to what to expect, along with my personal opinions on what could be done to make player experiences more satisfying.
