I am still of the mind that a player or person is totally innocent until proven guilty beyond all reasonable doubt. Honest mistakes do happen and the player in this case is trying to remedy the situation and is outright asking for help to disable whatever is going on with his/her computer 3Dice should assist in that. I think that if they really try they can come to an equitable compromise. However, I am still totally baffled by how a person can cheat at an online casino when the server is on the other end, and maybe thats a good thing that i dont understand it lol
This is the key. Are 3Dice banning people based purely on result, or do they only ban when they find the "smoking gun" among the running processes. Poker sites look for specific software applications that are defined as banned, so the evidence can be pretty strong.
I have played the MGS client on varying machines, and the difference between the slowest and fastest is about a 2x increase in the number of spins per period of time. This could give a significant advantage without any need to employ cheats.
Speed Gear, one of the known cheats, can offer up to 256x normal speed, and with the right kit, this can probably be achieved.
using Speed Gear on an MGS client, I was able to get 5000 spins per hour, whereas without, the best I could manage was about 3000. The limitation seemed to be the processor, not Speed Gear, so with a top of the range processor, I expect even more could be achieved. I used one of the simple classic slots for the test, and in fun mode.
The downside is that these cheats seem to cause problems with the OS that can linger after they have been uninstalled. As "black market" apps, they cannot be entirely trusted.
The issue is, can one be wrongly accused of using one of these cheat apps by 3Dice, and suffer an unjust penalty. The suggestion that "bad video drivers" can lead to a life ban is worrying, as this is not the fault of the user, but of the software industry. PCs are supplied with a set of drivers, but there is not always a mechanism to apply regular updates included, and trying to do this as a user is not for the inexperienced. In many cases, it takes a "computer nerd" to keep their drivers fully up to date, and with the CORRECT updates for their particular PCs and configurations. Applying a driver update that is not the correct one can actually make things worse.
