I remember when I was 23 - $40,786 USD (£25k) would have been a life-changing event. I could travel the world and not work for a year. I would have been beyond the moon in jubilation, and quite enthusiastic in any mentioning of this win. But not much enthusiasm here.

OP is 23? He said that he deposited 1000£. Not many people at that age can afford to deposit that kind of money in an online casino, especially one where they haven't played before. He also said that he'd have deposited more if he'd have busted with his 1000£...

Let's not forget that those depositing big, playing big and winning big at the casinos are also, almost always, those same persons who lose big. So it is possible the guy lost 30.000 pounds before he got that lucky hit at 32red.

We know that but that's not the point.

How many 22 yo do you personally know that:

- Would deposit 1000£ at an online casino that they didn't play before
- Threatens legal actions out of the bat when something doesn't go his way
- Still argue (for nothing) after getting his money instead of being too busy jumping everywhere, buying a new car or planning a trip?

This is the kind of behaviour that you'd expect from a bored businessman in his 50's. If you go in a real B&M casino, you won't see too many 22 yo kids in the high stakes area (especially not ones that would be unphased by a $40k win). I know that rich kids do exist but this is unusual, to say the least.

I mean this guy is a brick layer. Where salaries has sky-rocketed last years and you can earn around £40K a year now even more now depending on where you live.

OP might have won big somewhere before deciding to make that £1000 deposit. Heck he might had someone lend him them desperate for cash. Or lets say maybe someone got him to open account and deposit for them?? Did he know the chat rep?? We could go on and on........Oh also he might just have a sensible economy with lot of savings and now decided to spend some cash on playing at the Casinos....who knows.

Also he might have someone who is a lawyer in the family or close to him who wanted to make him take decision about court case. And from I understand in his first post he seemed nervous because of the new UK gambling law and seemed uncertain 32RED would block for UK players (yes we all know that would not happen anyways) So he took those drastic measures to get a quick solution on this.

I don't wanna take anyone's part here. I feel OP could only know he did not get correct bonus that is my opinion in this but also end of the day it was 32RED's own fault giving the wrong bonus. I am still VERY amazed how it could happen? I mean giving 200% £2000 bonus instead of £1000 and 100%?

Absolutely. If you'll recall, the OP had threatened legal action; 32Red said that's it, end of discussion, we'll wait to hear from the lawyers. With the PAB, it gave us the opportunity to present the OP's case and discuss options.


For what it's worth, he did say it saved people from going to court - so in a way, that was a thank you (to whom, I'm not sure).

Yeah, as Balt said it is strange. The OP seems to have the attitude of a child ungraciously snatching his favourite toy back when offered it by the nanny, despite having it justly confiscated in the first place.

P.S. Beravek - the poll I put up regarding the matter: I stated that is was not intended to, nor would it influence in any way the outcome of the dispute. It didn't. It was simply to get a one-glance synopsis of the general opinions of those whom had contributed (or not) to an increasingly speculative, convoluted and lengthy thread.

Just over 100 voted in it, a mere speck of their total player base and general reputation. Bryan and 32Red resolved the issue. Not us, our opinions and certainly no lawyers, barrack-room or otherwise.

Quite interesting case. To tell you the truth, reading this thread really put me off from internet gambling and made my thought about signing up 32red totally disappear.

It is 100% casino fault. Some member pointed out that OP used extra 1k bonus even though he knew it was in his account as a mistake. That might be, but nobody can prove that. As far as I know nobody is guilty until he is proven to be guilty.

We are not talking about cash credit here. It's bonus credit and some player don't check how much bonus they get. They just simply agree to get bonus and don't care how much as long as they get some.

I don't get bonus often because I don't like wagering requirement, but on some occasion I go for the bonus, but I don't check how much I suppose to get. I really don't like the idea that I have to make sure I got correct amount of bonus not to have any problem when I withdraw.

I play gamble to have fun and relax. I don't play gamble to be serious. This case made me feel like if the casino find any problem-even it is as small as one grain of rice-, they use it as an excuse for not paying the player. Instead of having fun and relax, I have to make sure every small detail is correct, not to have any problem with a withdrawal include the mistake the casino made. If the casino made mistake and I didn't notice that, I'm not allowed to withdraw? How it can be fair. I have to make sure somebody else's action-in this case, the casino- is all in order. Not fair, and not fun.

If the highly respected casino like 32red can do this, wondering how bad other casinos are. -I know op was paid in full in the end, but I really don't think he had to go through all this for the mistake he didn't make.

32Red have a lot to lose now. As one of only a few MicroGaming casinos left for UK players, any bad publicity would be damaging and can see why they have paid up after the PAB.

When I addressed the Pit Boss at 32Red about this dispute last month (in general conversation), he said 'there is a lot more to this then what has been made public' - Credit to CM for their hard work behind the scenes!

It's over with now, congrats to the player (PLEASE don't go wasting the money at casinos) and be sure what you have received when accepting bonuses in future

There was obviously nothing wrong with the player, as for that amount I bet they've looked hard and still felt the need to pay out so that in itself says a lot.

The lack of gratitude from the player is pretty galling though.

Hypothetically, let’s say you are 32Red and you have a player that you are 98% sure that is a fraudster, but you can’t 100% prove it. And he is trying to blackmail you. What would you do? Rushing to pay him is not your first thought, I bet. And you can’t call someone a fraudster unless you can prove it.

I am just saying that there could be a good reason and knowing 32Red I am sure there was one.

What planet are you from? The player had no idea the bonus was wrong, I mean you have to assume that the bonus amount the casino give you are correct one.

32Red has max bet of 6.25 £/$/€, the OP said he did 5 £ bets, which kinda gives plenty of time to notice that big discrepancy on bankroll, you can't just faceroll it away with couple high bets, so depending on what the CS said in chat, the likelihood of him having no idea might be pretty small.

Let's imagine a scenario that it had been other way around and the CS said something like this

Congratulations, we have a special deposit bonus for you, 200% bonus up to 2000 pounds, so if you deposit 1000 pound, you have 3000 pounds to play with.

What if the player gets only 100% bonus, what are the odds that the player goes to ask for his missing 1000 pound bonus, and what are the odds that the player just doesn't notice the discrepancy or assumes that the bonus amount the casino gave hims is the correct one.

I would say that in 95% of those cases the player would contact the CS to ask for his missing 1k bonus, if the CS wording was clear enough and the max bet was that low relative to the bonus.

What if a player has a feeling that one of the casinos he is playing at is a rogue one, but he can't prove 100%, in this case is the player allowed to come to this forum or to anyone and say "this casino is rogue. I can't say any more but it is."? I don't think so.

No player should say that, and I believe that rule should go with the casino too.

When they can't say anything whatever the reason is, they should not say anything. Mentioning "there is more to this" that makes people think "is there any wrong doing from player side?" when the casino can't provide any information should not be allowed IMO.

Why should he wait?
I can assure you they don't care about that poll. I suppose most people can read the posts in there too and see that many of us that didn't vote probably didn't for a good reason.
I can see on all your posts that you really don't trust any casino at all. I do!

I rather trust 32Red and the people behind it, especially with their reputation, than a kid who almost were in diapers when they started it.

I know you are seemingly being cautious but 32RED has built itself a stellar reputation for a decade or so. They are most willing to discuss issues with players which is something that is amiss with a lot of casinos. Regular players should have nothing to fear as this issue is a mere blip in my eyes. As far as MG casinos are concerned you wont find a safer place to play at than 32RED. Its a pity I cant play at this casino anymore.

Ok - we have a conclusion to the issue. The player has been paid - which he has confirmed - £25k.

After discussing the issue with 32Red, the consensus was that there was human error involved and that the player should be paid minus the bonus amount given in error. (That amount will be donated to a charity TBD BTW). The reason that the casino changed its original stance is that there were other factors which were ultimately cleared up. Those factors are not free for me to discuss but those factors, in the eyes of the PAB service, were sufficient justification for the initial stance taken.

So there you have it.

Thanks for helping me getting this resolved. It's done us all a favour to not have to proceed with court action after 32Red told me they were definitely not paying me my winnings.

What things? What's to be settled down? I guess you missed the part where the player was paid in full and the the casino was donating the £1000 bonus money to charity.
