32Red $20k Tourney

WTG Vinyl

YOu must admit though, these tourneys can only really be 'bought' and not 'won' if you know what I mean. The average player with an average bankroll has virtually no chance.

100% agree.

And thats just one of the many ways in which this forum has saved me money.
I know playing in such a tourney is futile, because I know VWM exists.:p
Something 19Kengi did not know.

Something 19Kengi did not know.

Given that I have largely given up on these, it was a well considered risk.

I am only playing so that I can demonstrate the point that first place is BOUGHT, not "won" on these tournaments with a silly number of continues.

I have 649 continues left out of 999, so Mark is also right in saying that it IS possible to PROFIT from these silly tournaments provided the odds are right.

I deliberately held back so that I could sprint to the finish WITHOUT having to use more than 500 continues. Every time I played a little, so did 19Kengi, who seemed to want to keep his lead above 150,000 at all times.

I decided to use a strategy of deliberate slowness, but with an intimidating build up of coins, now exchanged in the space of a few hours for an intimidating lead.

It's not just the odds being "right" in this one, but the TIMER too;)

I could do 100+ spins per session (including free spins), so calculated that i could use 4500 coins at full speed in 7 minutes, but with only 1500 fresh coins allocated, I could use 3000 from "reserves" each session.

reserves + score + continues needed*1500 needed to approach 19Kengi's score + a reasonable margin. This was the optimum point at which to begin the sprint finish.

Previous observations lead me to believe 19Kengi played early and late in the day, maybe having to go out in the afternoon (work?); hence the sprint THIS afternoon, so that when 19Kengi checked back, the deed was done:p

$3500 spent so far in continues, prize $5000 - potential profit of $1500 for 10days intermittent "work", not bad really:D

Naturally, without such a bankroll in the first place, no chance.

Even 5 wilds DURING free spins would be a mere 150,000 coins - so to win from the free first session alone, this would have to happen FOUR times within the first 3000 coins - somewhat unlikely.

EDIT 0:06 1st Feb

Demonstration complete;)

Yes, these tourneys with 999 continue play totally suck! Those are abuse of the players...especially when the top prize is quite low and 5 min continue cost $10 and the top prize winner obviosluy have deposited more money into the tourney that the prize. Its sad honest casino like 32Red nad more have these and then come here posting how "fair" those are for loyal player...most stupid thing Ive heard on a long time.

When will we see a 100% fair tourney at any Micro casino? And with "fair" I mean, just a buy-in amount for ex. $100+a small fee...then NO continues and NO re-buys! Wow that would be really exciting!! Then the small poor player have the same chance of getting the top prize as Sir Richard Branson himself! How is that not fair?

And how is it fair to be able to "buy" the first prize...that is like pissing on the small and average players. Is it fair letting rich players feed on small and average depositors??

Im the first one putting $100 into a fair tourney...and how about 20-60min of play and where the coins will last for about 3/4 (without free spins)of the total time so if you are really lucky to hit free spins and re-triggers you will be awareded...and have the time to finish both free spins and coins...

Sadly, MGS can't see this, even though the popularity of these tournaments has taken a hammering BECAUSE of this "999 continues" business.

I actually made a profit this time around, but I doubt whether any other of the 2000+ entrants also made profits, since all other prizes were bonus credits, only the top prize was withdrawable cash.

Another way to make these fairer, but still keep the 999 continues concept, would be to increase the prize pool as more continues were bought, and this extra prize money distributed throughout the placings, so that the lesser players would at least see SOME benefit from the top players buying their way to the top.

Even the tournaments with limited continues and rebuys are vulnerable now that multiple aliases are allowed. It is now 5 rebuys per casino, rather than per player, for the much diminished weekend tournament. It is still possible for a dedicated player to buy their way to the top by using all their aliases in all their MGS casino accounts.

It seems that 32Red have taken to running a tournament of this type around once a month, so I may have to repeat my demonstration to ram home the point that you CAN simply buy your way to the top with enough time, and a big enough bankroll.

VWM by my reckoning came a distant second - 32Red was the winner of this celebratory tournament.

Working out please.

I made a profit. I spent $3550 for a $5000 cash prize, a profit of $1350 cash.

Since the other prizes were bonus chips, with their 30x WR, I culd well be the ONLY player who made a profit, and it would be interesting to see an overall analysis of the likely profit made by 32Red on this, and whether it fits with other views (including my own), that the overall RTP of these tournaments is 50% or less, rather than the 95% we get from the normal games.

The "sit & go" work to an RTP of 90% - and this is easy to see because of their "one shot" format.

Example, sit & go with $45 prize, buy in $10, only goes off with 5 players, paying a total of $50, of which $5 goes to the casino, thus RTP=90%

You might indeed very well be the only one with a profit.
The max. you are allowed to play per spin/hand at 32RED when playing a bonus is 6.25
So to clear 75K Kengi has to play 12.000 spins at least.
Thats .. ALOT.:eek2:

But he should be able to cash in some comp points!:D

Okay, so from now on you could simply announce here at CM whenever you are going to take a tournament down and every player who reads it knows that they shouldn't put a penny into the tournament. This saves every player's money and your money as you will have no competition to make it to the top ;)
