100K Winner - this informative posting is from one of the guys at WOL:
"To begin with, Lucky Winners is dormant for now. We did a great deal of due diligence into this site, there doesn't appear to be anything that can be done to give the owners confidence in putting money into promoting the site. It may still be open for wagers, but for now, they are just pushing it aside and will perhaps come back to it at a later time. If anyone has had any problems at this particular casino, let me know and I can look into it.
Jetset, I do not know the guy you mentioned in Montreal, but here is someone you should look into. The owner of the company that sold the Lucky Winners site, and most likely Arcada too (I don't think they were sold under Gaming Logix - they used Casino Age which may have a different staff) is Peter Baron. He owns some company called Papco, but I am not certain if that company is in any way affiliated or not.
Anyway, here's the interesting thing. The night before I left for Vegas, the owner of Lucky Winners called me and told me he had just spoken to this Mr. Baron guy. He said that his initial contact was some other guy who only wanted to discuss things by email, and who later referred him to Peter Baron, although he thinks they were one in the same guy.
An interesting thing about this PB is that he always says he is going to be in some far off location and will be unreachable. Last week it was South Africa, but they actually tracked him down and called him at his home in Boca Raton, FL, which caught him off guard I am sure. Sounds like a very shady character to me, but there's more.
When the owner called me that night, he said that during the conversation, Baron said that he was selling out to another company as of August 14. He would release no information on who the new owner was or what the plans were for the business, which I found to be very strange, considering he was talking to a client who was entitled to know who he would be doing business with in two weeks.
I am almost tempted to say that this is just a slick maneuver to try to scam this $100k winner, and whoever else is floating around on the net disappointed. But then, there is not enough information to make a claim like that, so I suppose we will just have to wait and see what happens.
