Hello All

I'm new so go easy on me

So I got bored on Easter Sunday and decided to have a little flutter, I had seen Betway advertised and thought I'd give them a go. Deposited £20 and received a £20 bonus. After playing through the wager requirements to unlock the money that I had won I was left with £1100, happy days...WRONG
I have woke up to two emails one stating that as I deposited with someone else's card (my wife's, a shared account, my mistake) they are cancelling the withdrawal request and invalidating all winnings the second stated that the money would be returned until I have provided ID which would have been fine but they have changed their stance on that option. When I 've spoken to them they just keep stating T&Cs but when I've looked through these I can only see it stating they would suspend the account and that I would then need to contact them like the second email implied. I have played multiple gaming sites using various cards and I have never had a problem. I wonder if they would have had an issue if I had just lost?

Anybody got any advice?

As much as I cannot stand this group / this casino I feel you're in very little chance of hearing what you want, sorry

One of the "Top Ten " rules with all online casinos is you must make deposits with sources which come under the same name as the casino account does.

There is very little leeway with this rule, some casinos allow it but only with prior consent before any transactions are made.

They do have a rep here: - https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/members/betway-support.html

However they have not been online since September last year

Drop them a PM, they'll get an e-mail notification to say they have a message here at CM, maybe you can find some "middle ground", Nothing to lose either way.

I won't suggest a PAB in this case as I feel the casinos T&C's will adequately protect them on this one :(

It's hardly a scam, as it would ring alarm bells at any casino!

If you have a joint current account or credit card and you are both on ONE card it should be OK but if you have a shared account with individual cards for it you should use your own. A casino paying a person depositing with a card not in their own name could cause real issues so you cannot blame them here.

OP I agree with the others and also having your username betwayscam isn't inflammatory at all:rolleyes:

I could have just set the account in my wife's name but I honestly didn't even think I just grabbed the first card to hand, I did enter the correct name as appears on the card and attempted to withdraw to the same card.

I'll just see how it pans out, still hard not to feel sour
