I was hoping to get an insight into this scenario from fellow members here:

I made a deposit at an Accredited Casino and took a deposit bonus. I managed to get the deposit of $50 plus the $50 bonus up to about $500. Changed games, went on a long cold run and Bust out.

I then redeposited $100 without a bonus and played about 20 - 50 $1 spins and took my balance up to $300 again. Not wanting to chase anything - I was quite happy with a 100% return on my deposits so I withdrew.

I get an email this morning that my withdrawal was declined based on the fact that I haven't wagered my deposit at least 1x.

Do you think this is responsible behaviour? I just wagered close to $800, redeposited and it took at max $50 to put me in a profit from which point I decided to call it quits.

Should I be forced to play more than I wish to? My total deposits in the session were $150, and I wagered over $800 - $1000 on the same game. I can understand if I was purposefully throwing in $100 and playing $20 and withdrawing, but my intentions were clear from my gameplay.

I wagered extra and re-requested my WD (won $40 extra), but I am very upset and feel that this is unethical on the Casinos part.

What do you think?

Nate

Totally unethical since the rule about wagering at least one time is there to prevent money laundering. Laundering $50:rolleyes:

I suppose it wasn't your first session in the casino either.

Nope - I have had plenty of sessions and deposits. Never changed games either.

Well I''m sorry, but if it's in the T&Cs than it is fair enough.

Rules is rules and if casinos start bending or breaking their own terms it could be a slippery slope...

It sounds like you didn't contact the casino after receiving the e-mail to request an exception to the rule - a decent casino might have considered this, though they would be under no obligation to do so.

There was another thread about this only very recently. I can not search for you as i am on antiquated mobile. The fact is this 1x playthrough rule is there at many accredited casionos. I got caught out at Betsafe once. My own fault.

I don't think it has anything to do with money laundering.
Processing deposits and withdrawals cost the casinos money which the vast majority absorb into their bottom line. Asking players to wager deposits x1 just gives them some turn-over (with HA) to hopefully contribute toward or cover those processing costs.
Personally I think this rule is totally reasonable.

KK

Were you offered to wagering up to your deposit amount? They should have told you to do that not taking it all.
A first time customer is one thing but not to take this rule so seriously afterwards.
'The casinos are bending their rules all the time. It has to be some sence in it to.

But also I know that if someone I didn't like had asked the same question maybe my reply would have been different :)

I have personally NEVER encountered this is all my years playing online TBH.

I'm not phased about wagering $50 extra - I just see it as UNCOOL as I have already wagered a ton. I have made deposits at many other places after a loss and recovered and never been told to wager my deposit 1x over.

It IS in the terms and conditions which makes sense as per KK's post... Just doesn't sit right with me, specifically because I am being forced to wager extra.

Its like depositing $500 then losing and having a last $50 deposit but because you ONLY wagered $45 and requested a WD and your WD is declined.

Casinos use a fine comb to root out fraudsters and other unsavoury characters - I am not one of them nor am I attempting to muck them about. In this case I feel IF my business was actually valued, they may have taken the same due diligence ....

Its not about the money either - I could care less if I busted - One of the reasons I almost always have a healthy balance in Neteller is because I KNOW when to withdraw.

Nate

hi nate tbh its there in the terms not alot you can say , although it doesnt sit well with you , you already know what to do about it ( speak with your money ) , i kinda of get why they do it , i would think it may would be different if you was a long standing player there , they more than likely wouldnt even bother about it , its a new account im guessing ? if not well then i doubt i would be playing there for much longer.

theres a few with this rule , problem is if you get real lucky within a few spins & hit what your goal is , then you want to cash out , thats the problem your having , you now feel forced to play on , its kind of pooh mate but you know the terms (

btw i once had 1.50p left to play under those rules which had taken me below the min withdrawal of 100 quid , never went back carried on & blow it all failing to gain the 1.50p

Heheh :)

I just received an email - Payout declined and a reason.

I suppose if its in the terms and conditions then I am bound to them in all fairness. I probably withdrew not even realising it as I have Never in 13 - 14 years had a WD declined because of it.

'Hey Sir - You just lost $500 BUT because you deposited $50 and only bet $49 we are declining your withdrawal - hahhaha'

If it happened once - It will happen again - Who needs the inconvenience? I'll just move on elsewhere - Already had too many issues with the same Casino.

Nate

It sounded like an RTG casino, or like one of the new ones that doesn't really know how tough they need to be yet.

I'd say they lost you. You have choices.

Yes you are correct - Not new though. Yep its BYE BYE from me.

Not much more to add: i would do the same in the end:
I would like to know the Casino's name anyway?

I don't want to batter the Casino - It's in the T&C's - So they are within their rights to exercise that clause.

But I suppose you will easily guess who it is

Nate

They could only be considered battering themselves, enforcing such a rule, but you would just be openly questioning one of their terms looking for input, which is perfectly normal, and in this case also noteworthy, in terms of general reasoning behind certain rule-creation:

had it only been in place to prevent money-laundering/fraud it would be fine but when it is used to try and force players from + to - situations, where their already has been some form of loyalty and proving of genuinity of the player, then it might not be rogue but definitely questionable!

Name and shame is what i would do... there are only a few RTG accredited: i would like you to filter out the good from the bad from the players perspective:)

I suppose this is why I have a 'bee in my bonnet' this morning. It's about the Casino using a fine comb all the time so surely they would see that I do NOT deposit $100 and withdraw $120 every time.

But rules are rules and I had to go check if such a rule existed when KK replied and as I said ... I have NEVER had this issue anywhere in 14 years.

Ofcourse, its more of a piss off factor as they enforced the rule then my WD had to be re-requested and now I must wait longer - BUT on the other hand its not like i need the funds NOW.

Yesterday I was on the road and I couldn't access the Flash Casino so I emailed the casino and highlighted my problem. The response I got:

"Please explain what you want us to do, we can cancel the coupon if you cannot access the games."

Umm OK Mr. Support... - Thanks for not even taking the liberty to try and help.

I have to agree with Nate here guys.
I have never had this issue either and it leaves a bit of a bad taste to it.
Especially as Nate says it is an accredited casino.

And we are talking about someone who broke even or had a few dollar profit.
Also no bonusmoney was involved so in that case it is the players own money and i.m.h.o you should be free to do with it whatever you like.

If I throw €50 in a slotmachine in a landbased casino and after 5 spins I am on €75 I can cash it out,no WR on landbased slots.
So why would a casino do that like?

Just my thoughts!

Mark.

They have always said that the rule is there to prevent money laundering and nothing else.
If it would be because the deposit or cashouts are costly they wouldn't allow us to deposit just $20 five times a day. It would be silly.
It's a good rule if it's used for the reason it's created.

True and also for processing costs. But if you use the rule to piss off genuine players then your business ethics and model need to be revisited.

Nate

I could understand if it was a free cash drop from the casino. Then the wagering of x1 would make sense as it protects the casino from someone cashing out instantly without playing.

But attaching a x1 wager to a stand alone deposit that a player has made is unheard of.

Some will say if it's in the T&c's that is acceptable. My own thoughts are it is not acceptable practice.

This is an accredited casino and I for one would not expect this to be so.

Baffled!

It appears that the rule is valid, but the casino is incapable of either adding the word 'discretionary' to the terms or using discretion in the case of an established player. If the casino treated players as individuals rather than a commodity, then you could have had a different response from their CS. Like you say, once bitten.......

What irritated me when i got stung at Betsafe on this rule is that i deposit using a debit card. They already charge me for depositing so to me allowing me to withdraw my own money without wagering should be permissable as i have already paid a fee.

I can do with some Opinion, I am kinda new to on-line casino and read some review and joined a few casino site, I am currently with
betsafe
nextcasino
guts
dashcasino

I was also with tropezia palace, casino la vida, and quarto casino but I have closed there account, out the 4 I still have, I just wont to keep 2, any recommendations?

in terms of slot I do like thunder stuck 2 and immortal romance

Any recommendation's would be grate

I think I know the casino your talking about (it's an RTG). Just let your money talk, you have options regardless of whether it's in the T&Cs the casino isnt using it in the manner it's supposed to be intended, they sound like their using it as an excuse to void player cashouts (you wouldnt be the only one). Other accredited casinos might have it in their T&Cs as well but chances are they are using the term for the right reasons. IMO stop playing there.
