Happy international dog day

Dog got taken out after dinner, not by me. Get told he' might have eaten a bit of "something white that was wrapped inside a leaf, the leaf wrapped up with a grass tied into a ribbon around the top of it, the, with the something white inside having a pasty look to it, a bit like plaster" .
I get on my knees to look at his face, and he burps into my face just as gasp for breath from the excessive abuse my body took to get down to that level. Sucked in every single bit of that. Nice one.
Notice something on head, looks like he's been rollin around and got a bit wet. Spend next 15 minutes googlin words like park white poison dog leaf along eith the local town. See a lot of nice white flowers.
Realise I was outside for 1 min when theh came back, not smoking anything illegal in some countries. He would have had a chance to get to the bin. We had a roast, there was tin foil thet cointined gravy mixed with chicken grease which I'd just thrown at the top of the bin before i went outside.

So we spend 30 minutes trying to work out the time frames, if its the white thing he ate at the park, or if he drunk the qaurter pint of greasy gravy. There's just no evidence hpit was the gravy. by this time the bin had been used several times.
So he goes outside and takes a nasty crap., comes back in and I'm still tryin to work it out, thinkin damn he's a dirty lil shit, that whatever he got on his head while probably rolling at the park, hadn't dried out yet .

Start to work out that he must have got the oil/gravy. the time that he first burped, the didnt want his dinner, didn't match with the park white leaf bomb being the culprit. But it did match with the time, the very small window, that he had an opportunity to raid the bin. 30 minutes later we're ceartin by now he must have eaten the gravy chicken oil, and then notice something, his ear is sticky. Closer inspection and it stinks of chicken. His hair still hasn't dried either. Because it's greasy as f**k, that's why.
Now feeling like a bit of a dumbass. Realising that chicken oil mixed with chicken gravy was all over the back of his fkng head the entire time I was trying to work out if he'd ate the bloody stuff.
Nearly got away with a decent sized slice of cake an hour ago too, so it seems he's not doin too bad now. The little c...

So...that was fun.
The big ding dong cracked another couple ribs and been in bed better part of 72 hrs.
Before anyone up in my grill, he's well trained and knows all his commands.
What happened (again) is when walking he will stop on a dime (oh, I dunno, to sniff a pee or see a flower), and my arm snapped backward in a way it isnt quite meant to go.
I cant be mad as he doesnt mean any harm but that's both sides he's broken this year :P

We used to go leashless and he follows/trots along but a couple neighbours complained (because they assume, if hes big, hes mean..he isnt).
But anyway, got some morphine out of the deal :P

Hope you are OK, and did the 'big ding dong' show any remorse at all, by doubling up on his slobbering all over you? That is what I would like to know.
did not faze him at all :)
he meant no harm
saw 0 harm :)
I didnt yell at the doggo for being a doggo :)

He doesnt really much drool.
But I happened to be outside with him and the kids walked down the st from school. This guy, just loves kids.
Drools aplenty.

This guy, mad loves kids (of course.....BEETHOVEN)....they all belly rub him).........young ones, high school. Kids totes break my dog lol

Someone is finally filling out their body to meet their big bucket head.
A week of around 2 to 10 degrees, we hit 21, so we spent the day outside together...because, well, he knows and hears when the kids go to, and come home from school.
so let him out to meet his kids
Happy doggo.

and ya, he is not a fat doggo...still well under and trim to where he will be....still, in puppy growth :p

Love him.
But by gods, he's a useless peice of...
Fam dog
Otherwise...useless.
I'm on the PC, backdoor open a few feet away and behind him because he overheats so cool fresh air.
Raccoon just....walks in...sniffs his ass, then just toddles out.
I'm like...da fuq.
DOG DIDNT EVEN MOVE
The raccoon left because I picked up my phone to take a photo.
And raccoons are....50 pounds? Equiv a medium sized dog (bigger than my guard dog...upstairs asleep lol)
(hes still snoring)

Bad news regarding my beloved little feline horror.

She has been diagnosed with advanced kidney disease, so not sure how much longer she has left, but the news has left me reeling.

She isn't that old either - has been with me 9 years and was any age between 4-6 when I got her, so she is probably around 13-14.

It hits harder than the deaths of all my previous felines, as she is the last cat I will ever have, due to my own failing health. I always wanted her to go before I do, as I don't have anyone who would be willing to take her in, but I really wanted at least another five years with her.

Heartbroken.

I.....am....so angry.
And I'm not really, ever an angry man.
Winter kicking in.
I always leave my garage open 6 inches.
And already have 2 strays (lost?) and 2 neighbours' cats living in my garage.
I'm HAPPY I've a sofa in there, blankets, and put out food and water.
But....man, care for your pets? Just give a basic.....f*ck?

So, it'll be, I see a full house at casaa dio

Hope your ribs are getting better, folks dont realize how strong dogs are, consider mine to be big but probably only half the weight of your
monster.A few times i have been yanked hard in the opposite direction without warning and been lucky not to get a dislocation or worse.
Still got to love them though
Got an ordeal today, dogs not been well for a few weeks, vet said he had a chest infection with a touch of kennel cough, prescribed
antibiotics and antiflammatories.Seem to help at first but cough has come back worse.
Problem is that he really hates vets even since he was de nutted, took 3 of us to hold him on the last visit and he was screaming
as the vet took his temperature.Trying a new vet today, they suggested I took his temperature myself before taking him.
Had a couple of practice goes, he grumbled a bit but managed it, not always easy to see where it should go.

I....love my big bucket-head.
Our community is going through a fairly big thing, 2 officers shot (dead) last week and a stand off today.
A city, yes, but a small, tight community.
And there has been national news, but locally, people are hurting.
My local groups, people are angry.....bitter.
Posted my bucket-head.
And.....glad, people are just......finding joy and laughs and chatting :)
I'm happy, such a small thing, people are distracted, smiling, and sharing <3

Racking up views and likes. And I DO NOT HAVE any sort of dedicated page (likes/views ...0 impact..it's all tossed to the wayside). Just....happy....a community is finding a little bit of happiness, sharing pet pics and not....well, a few hours of less stressing <3
Just...melts my heart and glad people are simply finding a sense of joy :)

How could anyone not find joy in pictures of bucket head? Although TBH, he does look a little like a jarhead as well. You haven't been shaving him by any chance, have you? :D

I'm......really over the moon.
Not because of Xan or the likes.
But because it's been spite and bile near a week running. and something as simple as that, everyone is smiling, laughing and sharing pet pics now <3 I think everyone just needed a reason to be happy <3

Sorry I missed your post.

Virtual hugs for your fur baby <3

Well, firstly......was posting in my Saint B group, that man they can shed.
I had JUST swept 15 min earlier....but patted his bum and a whole new dog of fur on the floor.

Then, my post was deleted. Couldn't figure out why.....then....ohhhhhh

(it's my KNEE, sitting cross-legged with the cat on my lap :D )

At this point you may as well call that Moult Metropolis and charge tourists a $5 entry fee
Heck, I could fill pillows every day or 2 and sell them on I dunno, Etsy

To be fair i also thought it was the tip of a penis.
All penises are about the size of a baseball bat, no?

But most importantly, what are you doing to that poor keyboard @dionysus :(
Please be nicer to it, its not a sock.
lol, dog drool, the cat sleeps on it
I've had to learn so many KB shortcuts and learn to read the PC sideways when I wake up

I mean these days, they can just press a thermometer against your forehead. Maybe see if Amazon carries them.
And ya, even my last doggo ripped out my rotator cuff yanking backways (that was ...geez.....6 mo of pain)

Hope your puppers is feeling better.

Fraid not hes going to the vet today for blood tests, very thirsty all the time and very chesty, antibiotics dont seem to help
so its some underlying condition.
Hes ok with me taking his temeprature and I have sedation meds to give him for his visit today.
Looked on amazon, the only external thermometers are for sticking in the ear and not very accurate, he is used to
me doing it the conventional way now

I....don't have the capacity to hate (I mean, I really dont think I do, dont currently, never have)
But...anger....frustration, yes.

So...angry...there's these cats sleep sleep in my garage.
Strays, ferals, ok.
But I KNOW these cats have homes.
But locked out all night, winters.
I ALWAYS leave my garage open 6 inches, sofa, food and water.
Sure, cats can be out. Mine goes out winters, comes in nights.
NOT all night in minuses (I KNOW, we find dead frozen cats, poor souls)
Anyway..here's one resident, friendly lil soul, wants scritches n scatches, blankets, food n water
(I cant adopt it, ive a cat eating dog...it is what it is, best I can do)

Really...hitting a boiling point here. Just...basic...care...ya? Despite living 5 feet away, they live here.
Anyway, the other garage cat, just fed and watered it
(yes, yes, people have barn cats and mousers - these are just.....neglected)

Looks pretty cool.
Question tho, what is that barrel thing Xan is carrying around his neck in the pic?
just somewhere to keep my booze at hand :P Winters be cold, man

lol, I'm actually getting him a barrel next summer; holds a bottle and has a spigot
When we walk around the block we often stop by neighbours and chat, and I bring him to concerts in the park in the summer
*'oh looky, bottle right hereeeeeeee
Goooooooood puppy :p

Happy kitty*, warm kitty*, purr purr purr
(*garage kitty)
Not...less angry, but less concerrned, it's got its warm, safe space, figured out the space heater we bought it last night and can get under blankets ... we gutted the garage, sofa at the back away from the wind and snow (yay, Dio's cat farm lol)

❤

So, tried, both 'visiting' fur babies - they left; it...is what it is, they had safe spaces....bought them a heater in the garage, moved them inside, door open, they booked it (well, they were not my/outdoor cats.
Anyway....driving this week, we smoked a cat on the highway (wasnt driving). Man, killed me in my head. So, wasn't the driver, but figuring out a grand in vet bills this week. Poor little bugger, had to be euthanized; but hey, broke like for a joke this month, couldnt leave it there.
Otherwise, my my big stupido is happy :P

So.....apparently, and now I believe her, Saints have a purr.......just happy puppers.....not a snore, awake, just, snores awake, happy :)
No matter how loud Xan snores...sorry...purrs, even with his size, I bet he can't match the cat with the loudest purr in the world, measured at 68 decibels, and confirmed by the Guinness Book of Records.
