With Casinomeister being 20 years old now, it made me think of my first memory joining. I joined 5 years ago, I can't remember why, but I do remember my first post. I wrote "cudos" instead of "kudos" and Dunover was all over it in a negative way , but Kasino King saved the day! I remember thinking.......Oh no, that will be my last post!
What is your first memory?

My first memory -

It was early 2014 - I was working in NetEnt at the time. During a team meeting a colleague mentioned there was a poll here, and members were voting for their favourite game supplier. That was the first time I'd heard of Casinomeister (what rock was I living under?!) and I checked out the site later that day. I registered straight away and contributed to a few threads, once I moved to TradaCasino I stopped using my personal account. I can't even remember my old username!

Anyway, I've been hooked ever since!

Rachel.

I stumbled across CM about a decade ago when I was a dumb pup looking for freebs and chased welcome bonuses and free spins and belonged to maybe a half dozen sites.
Then I sat here, read, listened, asked and learned and became a smarter player.
These days (and for some time) I only belong to one casino site (here, natch)

No particular memory stands out. I've probably logged onto here more than any other site of any sort, and spent a fair few evenings here chilling, chatting, surfing

You were sensible to not let the trolls scare you off.

My first memory of Casinomeister was the Pirate Of C21 story back in 2004. I joined the forum right in the middle of what was - and probably still is - the greatest online gambling story ever to unfold :D

My first memory of CM is searching online for "gowild problem" (or something like that) and finding a thread with a complaint and 2nd or 3rd post was advising the OP to do a PAB.
I read everything there was about the PAB, registered, did one and got paid. :)

Interesting fact, 3 months back is probably my biggest regret, the one moment I would probably change if I had a time machine.
So if i get my hands on a time machine and go back in October 2010, who knows what will happen and if I ever find out what CM is!

......nah... who am I kidding, I would have found CM no matter what! ;)

Actually. I remembered why I came about an hour ago, and it was about Go Wild too! I lost 6 k in a month with out getting over 100 dollars. Not even a penny over! And my friend was playing there too and having the same thing happen. When she went to live chat, they told her and I quote " keep depositing, you will win soon". I have an email some where from Gia about that. Her reply was " we all love to play slots at Go Wild and know what its like to lose". I lost it on her big time!

My first memory is strangely a thread about a big comp point controversy at Joyland casino in 2005. Just for kicks I've searched up the thread (but am not going to reread it):

Joyland Casino: Problem withdrawal request

There's nothing really all that special about that thread and I didn't even play at Joyland casino myself, but I was new to online casinos, had just found Casinomeister and for some reason that thread has stuck in my mind.

My first memory was on my very first day of becoming an Affiliate at the London Affiliate Conference in 2013. I was introduced to this down and out hippy looking guy that looked like he was still living in the early 1970's. He was introduced to me as one of the top people in the industry, at which point I thought a quick U turn back to the grey suits of IT was definitely in order. I had absolutely no understanding of the world of online gambling having spent my formative years gambling in land based casinos and UK pubs on the slots. I visited Casinomeister shortly after and had my eyes opened to the true nature of what online gaming entails. Roll forward a few years and I'm now helping Bryan out with the Live Casino stuff.

Well I was looking up some information about an online casino I wanted to sign up for and stumbled across an article on the forum here.
I was so happy I found that article as it wasn't really a positive one for that particular casino. :D
Turned out to be a pretty rogue place.

I was so happy that I did read it and I signed up that very day on CM and am around since that day.
Sometimes more active than other times but I always read the new articles and topics on the forum.

Great place, great community. :):)

Learned so much in the years I am a member, since 2011ish I believe.

I was also a member of several other forums first hunting for bonuses:oops: That was back in 2008 though so I've learned a little during 10 years, and wow the industry has changed from back then. This forum too.
It was a bit more rough in here back then and my English wasn't so great, so and I was terrified of posting. It took me two years to get started but haven't stopped since:p

Yep, it's all about the shirts....:)

I don't remember that, but I do remember we had a grammar thread I started (IIRC) about pet hates whereby I recommended summary execution of any person typing 'shouldn't of' or 'couldn't of'. Mind you, I've just been dealt the Ace have Clubs and Ace have Hearts in my poker match so I've go to rush...

 My grammatical skills have improved some what after going back to school. Except at night time, and then my brain crashes.

If I remember correctly, I was lured to CM by a poker freeroll which was members only. Back in the day I was really into online poker and joined several forums which had members only tournaments.

Poker boom lost its glory and online communities come and go. Casinomeister was and is the only gambling community online worth visiting these days. Industry reps and great and diverse member base keeps things interesting.

There's also free beer available from time to time. :D

I just took a look back to my first post last year on March 25th and it was during a Videoslots Freeroll Weekend where even now, people would join a battle and end up not playing any of the spins. I joined mainly to provide feedback to Videoslots and also post any decent casino wins and the occasional video at the time. I used to be part of another gambling forum mainly for land based before I joined CasinoMeister. @the Shamus knows what I am talking about. RIP Slotmachinesforum.

This isnt my first memory because I have a crap memory but....

The memory I will never forget about this site is the quiz that Dunover, Simmo held in 2015 with help from Bryan, Tirilej and the casino reps which helped raise a few hundred pounds for a brain tumour charity in memory of my late wife.
And also not forgetting the forum members who donated on my Justgiving link.

I came joint first but lost in the tie breaker draw.

My rock must be giant then, considering I have been gambling online since 1998 and the first time I heard of CM was in Dec 2015. :D

The reason I joined was to jump on the 32RED "blast wagon" when they introduced pending periods on withdrawals. I got so "engaged" that it earned me my first and last "CM Warning". :D

Never looked back since and CM has become the first website I open every morning before anything else. :)

I remember that too :eek2:
It would be really fun going back and read now

Cute topic!

I already wrote a few times that I have to be a competition spy and that's how I've heard about the Casinomeister, but I think more interesting story is that I've always been afraid of Bryan :laugh: Actually that was more like awe than being afraid :)
Casinomeister was like some dad of all affiliate websites I've known at those times, therefore it had special respect from me. And Bryan's appearance on the conferences was always like some rock star came in, so later on when I was working as affiliate manager for a couple of brands, I never dared to approach him and say something about my brands lol
Always thought he'd just blow me away hahaha.

But he's actually so awesome and easy to approach to and talk to :) So my impression is very funny to me now when I turn back the time!
There are also some casino reps of non-listed brands who still share this impression of Bryan, so I need to dissuade them from such idea telling how wrong they are :D

Lol. I'm like that with Max.

I saw it mentioned on 2+2 and came and checked it out. This is a Much smaller community and alot less trolls. Dont really go on 2+2 anymore for years.

I think the first casino I played on was gamingclub casino. I found it on a survey site I used to do surveys on for extra money, still do some surveys there actually and some of the streamers actually picked up on it and do it for extra gambling money too. Its not much or anything by any means but its like $50 a week or more once you get used to it. So its good for a gambling budget not related to your finances.

Ah yes, the old days of surveys. I did a few, well, up until I realized it took about 40 lengthy inquisitions to raise about a tenner

Even worse, not qualifying for a survey based on the preliminary questions. So a survey within a survey....only to say "Sorry, you suck, povvo scum" or words to that effect.

Was great when they paid straight to Paypal, mind. It'd be like 30 minutes' slotting for five hours' work

oh ya its quite tedious if you try to make money off of it strictly. I do them out of boredom when I have zero to do at work and I guess making a few bucks and let it just save up after like 2-3 months and then cash it out so it feels like something. But I couldnt imagine how the housewives do it all day long, it would drive me nuts looking all day for stuff to make like $10 a day ..but whatever floats their boat and I guess they are contributing financially too so good for them....but yeah I couldnt do it all day

I can usually make about $5 when im at work doing them... Which seems silly but hey it cures my boredom

I remember looking at the site thinking "There's a real gap in the market for quality puns".

Hasn't been filled yet :(

Well at least you filled the gap in terms of quantity, if not quality. Don't beat yourself up too hard mate.

That's where I learned from your mistake after identifying a similar gap in the market for.....

...ridiculously long-winded, Germanic-level detailed winner screenshot essays....er...posts.

3 posts per day, 3 days per month. Then spend the other 27/28 days of the month bantering with Mr. D and liking your pun posts to get your like numbers up.
