Kaboo is a good casino however I gotta say I am annoyed about their free spins promos and and the emails quite misleading. The other day I got an email stating to deposit x amount and get free spins on Sticky Bandit the next day (yesterday). I deposited €36 and lost if no big deal but when I went back yesterday there wasn't any free spins for me.

Talked to live chat and they said that you have to wager your deposit 5 times before you are eligible for the free spins! Well then why didn't they put that clearly in the e-mail instead of sticking it it the small print of the terms and conditions. If I knew that then I would have deposited at Videoslots or somewhere else.

I think this tactic of sending e-mails promising free spins and not specifically state in the e-mail clearly that deposit needs to be wagered 5x times is both sneaky and misleading so I am currently not happy with Kaboo. I said as much to the CS agent who told me he will send my "suggestion" of putting the terms clearly in promo emails to management. It should be a must do and not a suggestion.

It's been a lot of discussions earlier because Thrills also have that.
They changed it so it would be that you had to either wager your deposit 5 times or lose your deposit, which was fair.
It was to stop people from making a deposit and cash out immediately and then go playing those free spins anyway.

If they don't even give out those free spins the same day then why in the world have such bad rule?

Doing like they do now is really really awful and they should of course honor those free spins. If not I would stay away if I were you.
What is happening to all good places these days:eek2:

AFAIK this is an AML term and not really related to the FS offer, nor is it strongly adhered to when a player is deemed "genuine" and not a BA.

I do 100% remember reading a while back (a post from Erik when he was still with this group) him stating that there was a degree of discretion with this rule.

My offers from Kaboo are usually 'Echoes' based and not game specific (you choose that yourself when redeeming echoes) so a tad harder to manage the promotion their end maybe?

You may want to chase this further as I think they may have it wrong, although not 100% as I say. I don't even know who their rep is anymore??

They wouldn't give me the spins even though I lost my deposit. I understand NOT giving them if you cashed out before wagering your deposit 5x times but I didn't all I got was 30 measly echos. I am not all that bothered about getting the free spins since but for me it's about the principal.

Who remembers all the terms once reading them? I only remember wager bonus money x times, max bet €5 (as if I'd ever go that high) and what slots you can't play on.

As an Irish player I wasn't able to play at Thrills since they didn't have a Irish license so I wasn't aware of this term. This caught me out and will make me think twice about depositing at Kaboo in the future. Seriously what is the casino thinking? They risk losing players over probably a measly few quid.

This was my third deposit with them the first two being €100. I did cash out €120 on my first deposit as the slots were going so badly I knew it was cash out or lose. My overall RTP with them as it stands now over 3 deposits is 85.7%. I did argue nicely with the CS agent but he wouldn't budge and now I can't be arsed chasing it up as I feel I would probably get the same response. I will however contact the rep and direct him to this thread forthwith!

I was going to say that Guts is a lot better this way because you just fill in the code and get the spins immediately.
They still do this of course, but I just got a surprise in my email.
Headline: Check our new games with free spins. Inside: Deposit and you get some free spins. I so hate that kind of marketing, and from Guts:mad:

They are owned by the same people now or I wouldn't have mentioned them. Things are certainly changing. Maybe it's time to look for a new hobby.

I've noticed this sort of thing happening more and more. I'm not sure how to explain it, in conjunction to promotions getting stingier too. Either there is some change coming, so Casinos are looking to get more from the players before it comes. Or maybe there is so much more competition but some Casinos that have had a good reputation are getting sneakier.

I suppose they are just testing what they can get away with, and they judge the success of these promotions by number of clicks and number of deposits so if it works, it works. I doubt a lot of Casinos are really paying attention to their player feedback.

But what's even stranger is that they're doing this over a matter of £10 - £20. But it has long been a practice to hide things in T&C's or make it confusing so this way they cover themselves

This kind of thing is more likely to put players off and send them to other casinos. As I stated in my previous post I would have deposited at Videoslots if I knew about this stupid term at Kaboo before depositing. At least with Videoslots you know what you are getting!

I agree so very much with the "CBA to chase up spins / bonuses" anymore.

I have to admit now at least 50% of the time win or lose a slot session bores me to tears. Tried to fix it by spreading my wings across new games, varying (safe) casinos but nope still boring.

I usually have a 6 week or so break around this time of the year but I've been winning a little so put that on hold lol :p

I'd be a liar if I said I'd stop slotting altogether but I do see myself dropping off to maybe once a week / 3 times a fortnight rather than 3-4 times a week. Seriously needing a new hobby also!

Took the kids out quite a bit last couple of weeks and enjoying my second child hood, the computer / slotting does not even cross my mind slightly for a nano- second.

As has been mentioned loyalty recognition and getting what "it says on the tin" are nothing but a distant memory. :(

That is true. I can tell you my plans for the weekend include binge watching The Defenders on Netflix much more enjoyable than a losing slotting session:cool:

I've avoided them when one email it stated play through deposit 1x.

I deposited then thought, better going on live help to query as it's usually 5x. They said it was a mistake and won't honour it. I then had to wager deposit 1x anyways in order to get my funds out, and they charged on deposit!

Sneaky tactics and unyielding live help agents. I wonder how many other people where fooled this way? If they can sort the clarity of the emails and maybe train their live agents better then they would have a much better product. People don't like to be fooled and then basically be talked down to by the live agents.
