CM members already know to give this lot a wide berth, however they DO have a rep here, who has tried (with limited success) to convince us they are NOT rogue.

I had a tangle with them when I was a "newbie", but they only had a small fraction of my money held "hostage", around $25. I had already got the bulk of my WINNINGS out:D

It was a BAD MOVE on their part, as I was quite prepared to carry on depositing and playing, until they started the "funny stuff" over the remaining $25.

They locked my account with the $25 inside it, after first having denied the withdrawal, and then refused to answer ANY of my emails for the next year.

Over a year later, I told this tale to another "screwee" of Winward who had posted a complaint, and someone offered to see if they could get an answer from them about it. All of a sudden, they wanted to give me my $25 back, and I got it, but I got the distinct impression it was about "getting rid of me and the issue", rather than having me back playing there.

This is the first Winward gripe in a while though, and I thought maybe they had changed.

Without knowing HOW they are "thieves" in your case, it is hard to say whether they are just as bad as before, or whether this is an isolated issue.
 
Winward probably have one of the most roguish T&Cs what I have seen.

Winward will never change, they will always be roguish.
Worst case is if you win and they dont want to pay. They have so many "confiscating terms" that they will always find one to use if they want to.

What country are you in?

If they didn't want you because of your country, how come you made it past registration and managed to deposit $25.

Are the staff just making this up (something I can CHECK once I know where you are;))

You have to change your view to "site map", or use a Google "in site" search, and there they are, and they are talking out of their a**e.

In the (well buried) general terms, there are NO "restricted countries".

In the even better buried "bonus terms", there are STILL no countries that are COMPLETELY restricted.

This is not a BAN, and there are NO GROUNDS WHATSOEVER for immediately locking your account after the $25 deposit because you are in a "restricted country". Restricted countries cannot have the initial free chip, nor any bonus greater than 50% of their deposit.

The rest of the terms are pretty damning too. If they think you are even using a printed strategy chart, let alone a "bot", they can arbitrarily confiscate your winnings.

If a strategy works, it becomes "abusive" by definition in another term. This means they can simply confiscste your winnings just because you won with a bonus. They can declare your betting as a "strategy", and thus void your games. If you LOSE though, then it is NOT "abusive", because it "doesn't work".

This is one of the few SOFTWARES where the casinos have been collectively lumped together, and placed in the rogue pit.

The TopGame casinos are "white label" operations, with the owners having varying degrees of involvement. Some leave EVERYTHING to TopGame, whilst others provide some services "in-house".

Winward used to use it's own software (Parlay), so probably have many functions still "in-house", rather than done by TopGame.


Good job you found out NOW, rather than when you had a big WIN that they confiscated for vague reasons.

Definite rogue behaviour, couldn't be any clearer really.

First, I don't see Poland on the list, so you are NOT from a restricted country. I notice you have "reading" as your location for the forum. Is this Reading UK (just up the road from me). If so, neither are you PLAYING from a restricted country.

In any case, even if you WERE playing from a restricted county, this ONLY restricts your BONUSES on offer to 50% deposit bonuses, and there is NO reason to confiscate your DEPOSIT, which is clearly what they have decided to do, and would probably get away with if you hadn't come here.

If they claim you ARE from a restricted country, then they are rogue for having BOGUS TERMS posted on the website, and only springing the REAL terms after players have deposited. Even these "bogus" terms are damned hard to find, they CANNOT be reached directly from the home page, despite there being THREE areas populated by links into other sections of the site.

It took me a YEAR to get MY $25 off them, but get it back I DID:D

If they don't want to accept your custom, they should return your deposit, as well as block your account. There is NO WAY you could have figured this out from the terms and conditions.
 
Have you been able to get your $25 back? I cannot believe online casinos can do this and get away with it. I'm sure there are many more who get their deposits stolen but don't have the resources to do anything about it. It's such a shame that this is capable of happening :(

I would suggest researching the places you want to make a deposit before actually doing so in the future to avoid being ripped off.

Good luck though and I hope you don't have to wait a year to get your money back.

That's complete BS, Poland is NOT mentioned as a restricted country. I checked this MYSELF!

THIS is why Winward are ROGUE.

It is also BS that it takes 20 days to refund your deposit back to Moneybookers. Looks like they are lying AGAIN.

This what experienced players EXPECT from a TopGame clip joint, and given that Winward was rogue BEFORE they moved to TopGame, this hardly comes as a surprise.

You shouldn't worry that they don't want you custom, think of it as a stroke of luck that you ONLY paid $25 to find this out, which you will hopefully get back so long as you keep on at them.


I wonder how many OTHER players they are scamming with this "hidden restricted territory" trick, and how many of these give up, rather than fight for a month to get back their deposit.

This is not hidden though. The terms at Winward give a list of countries, not areas, and there is no mention of Poland at all. I wonder how many OTHER countries they will claim are "restricted", yet are not listed as such. They could simply make this up when they don't want to pay a player who wins. In this case, it has been used as a bogus excuse to refuse a registration, and it also appears they intended to confiscate the deposit as well, as no way does it take 20 days to return it to Moneybookers. They are clearly stalling, perhaps in the hope that $25 isn't worth the effort from the player, and they will eventually walk away.
 
I agree, I too went and read their T&Cs. This is definitely roguish behaviour. I hope the OP sticks with it to the end and receives their money back. It's now the principal of the issue.

It seems as if more and more casinos are going the way of the "rogue" to try to stay afloat, IMO.
 
Thanks for the warning, though I don't think I'll ever play there. Sites like these should be shamed publicly. The news should spread wider so they won't have more customers to scam!
