started the bonus with $170 some odd dollars and betting .75, evidently you've played this game before, it rips me a new one everytime I play with a max bet. Ironically I've had my best bonuses when I wasn't playing max, usually my bonuses are in the $120 to $180 range when playing max yet I can play .50 or .75 and win $200+. Or like today playing .25 a spin and hit a retriggering bonus for $135.

you should always play maximum coins on video poker games, even if it means the denomination you play is lower. 5 coins @ $1 is way better than 1 coin at $5 as the paytables invariably are more generous for maximum coins. With slots it doesn't generally matter unless you are playing a Progressive Jackpot game where the progressive is only usually payable on maximum coins.
