And it didn't go well. Just as I closed in meeting WR, the shit hit the fan. Over 1,500 spins and only one 100x win to show for it,

Yes it certainly can do that mate. And you should know, because I've mentioned it many a time on my big GGW wins. There is a random trigger to get the feature (and sometimes it happens after you get 2 scatters and fail to get the third, which is cool). Then there is the random re-trigger. NB: There is a maximum of one re-trigger. For example....I once got the random re-trigger, then on a later spin within the same feature, I got 3 scatters. The 10 extra spins were not given, because I had already got my re-trigger (one for you to watch out for in the future).

Another thing to note. Getting the re-trigger is huge on Stay Wild and Megarilla Multiplier, but it can still cause big disappointment. I once got a Stay Wild with a re-trigger and only got 3 wilds in the round, and they all came right at the end, when the round was already a write off. The re-trigger is not something to get really excited about unless the wilds are already there, as it is a feature that is very much DOA-esque ie a good start is needed.
It has definitely got SSTS thread potential.

PS Best of luck with the rest of the WR. Don't get too erm..."attached" to that damn Rhino!

All of the others have delivered something reasonable (excluding previous post which was PB by far) but this 'pick' never seems to (and hence I rarely pick it anymore)

I have seen Gary hold that board up with 2 symbols showing as substitute (guess what not one of them dropped) but have only seen this once, can he show 3 or more symbols??

Also noticed this slots has no 'in-between' its either throwing the features in pretty regular or not at all. Advancing to last stage (where he stops eating bananas) says it triggers more often but I think that's all for show too, still managed many featureless spins. Only play this at Dr Vegas for now btw.

I resumed with £400 once site came back up about 9pm last night. Managed to bust £150 at £1.20 bets and another £150 at 0.80p bets with very little action and LOTS of rage and frustration.

Went to bed kind of 'fuming' after it started the 'disconnection city' routine (just what I need when I'm at boiling point already) £57 left - £600 WR to Go.

A new Personal best in 14 years!!!! (in terms of highest balance to (likely) bust with no cash out)

OK then Jon, RE: More Wilds - hmmmm - I'd have to say no. There IS potential there (as in nearly full screen potential), as you CAN get 3 symbols.
I don't think four is possible (Gary's board isn't big enough lol).

I just checked my pic archives and I can see I have only managed one 100x win on a single spin within the feature (see below)......



That paid 130.66x bet, for the record.

Note one thing about this screenie...only one symbol does NOT appear on the screen....the toucan. And every other symbol appears once and only once. Very even distribution of symbols, which would give you an idea of the difficulty involved in getting the really big win, even when you do hit something half-decent. Obviously, if I had got the monkey as an extra wild as well, that gets me an extra 60x bet added to my win for two 5OAKs of gorilla coin. A couple of hits like that in a round and the feature looks very attractive. Problem is, you will get many a feature where you may get two wilds only once with the rest of the spins giving only one wild. Meaning you get literally one chance to "nail" something.

What you really want to see in this feature are certain combos of symbols as your extra wilds (eg K and 9 seem to be grouped together with the wilds on all reels, in much the same way that Sarah and 9 are grouped with the wilds on IR). This is one example of where the full screen potential is possible, in theory at least.

As for the game itself, I would agree...there seems to be no in-between. I have had runs where the features were coming in once every 60 spins (and on the earliest "stage" ie when Gary is NOT supposed to award bonus time more often). That leads me to believe that this idea of getting bonus time more often the further you "travel" is a bit of a red herring. Either you get the feature or you don't. I have actually found it much HARDER to get features the further I travel, both in terms of getting it randomly awarded or via the standard 3 scatter method.

Overall though, I still do like this game. But it's like most NextGen games, very boom or bust.

Finally, sorry to hear you bombed on Rhino. I was fearing that you may get too "ambitious". I learned that betting at £1.20 a spin lesson the hard way. Never again mate.

Paid 175x which I though not too bad and was maybe the start of the recovery. Not to be, FG galore there on in and features very sparsely spread out.

Returned to GGW (with £20 left!) and after 2 lots of 30x (seems very common that one) features hit this

When the 3rd (or more) scatter lands to trigger the bonus round, the sides (left HS and Right HS) of the reel strips once expanded are frozen/frosted over (I think)

There is probably an extra background (ice?) behind the words 'Free Spins' too when it first triggers (bit like the flames behind 'Free Spins' on Terminator 2

jonmincher pretty much summed it up, the edges go all frosty (similar look to the frosty feature) and you do also hear a kinda dingaling sound which you would not normally hear, as with terminator 2 its really quite instantly obvious when you finally see it happen after seeing the normal mode trigger so many times.

Actually mate, I don't think you can. To the best of my knowledge, on Reel 5, the diamond is three rows above the wild. The symbols around the wild on Reel 5 go like this....

Although it is worth mentioning that you CAN get a diamond and wild together on Reel 5 during the Coffee & Chocolate feature. However, I think there is still one reel where the diamond and wild cannot land together (I think it is Reel 4). So there is a slightly different set of reels in use on that feature.
