Was putting a bet on at William Hill there and noticed at the side they were promoting a new William Hill Priority Access Card.

Decided to read about it and it seems a great idea.

Basically you can apply for the card which is a prepaid Mastercard. According to William Hill you can then use the card anywhere that accepts MasterCard online or in shops and withdraw money at atms etc. using any money you have in your William Hill account as it is linked to it.

Never saw this at any other site before and I think its a great idea. It means if you win on a sunday for instance you don't even need to request a withdrawal you can go to nearest atm and withdraw a few hundred pound. Obviously the atm will probably charge you £3 for withdrawing but who cares.

Also means if you have money in your William Hill account and you are in a shop and realise you have no money on you you could pay using money in your sports account.

Maybe im wrong lol but I think this is a pretty great idea that ive never heard of before.

I might have to get my self one of these card's as it sounds pretty useful like you said instead of waiting for the bank. In the past when i haven't wanted to wait for a bank withdrawal i have used there quickcash withdrawal were you just go in tot your local William hill and give them a 16 digit number of your withdrawal and get paid out in cash instantly. However if you have won a grand or more you will be lucky if they actually have that much cash to give you as i have had times were i have had to go back into William hill the next day as they didn't have enough money. Probably due to those bloody fobt machines paying out. haha

Brilliant Idea, I guess it beats paying the fees to e wallets, Will save the casino and also players,

I know Coral do the card where you can cash out money from there shops but if you can purchase items on this card than its good,

I think that should become standard with large online casinos. Well, I hope so at least :D

Saves the casinos the fees and us the re-load and currency exchange fees we all pay to the E-wallets. I did once the maths on a 100AUD deposit, with Ecopayz i would pay appr. 108AUD until the money was in the casino account and with Neteller it was 115AUD!!!.

So any ATM charges would be much less than that and you could get to your dosh any time anywhere you wanted.

Bet-At/Videoslots/Redbet/32RED - please read this thread and give us some good news :)

Surprised this hasn't happened before. I know with ladbrokes and paddy power you can withdraw your winnings from any shop which is very useful.

I've got one of these cards and it's great! There are no fees for ATM withdrawals, they only charge a fee for overseas or foreign currency purchases/withdrawals. You can withdraw £500 per day at ATMs and can spend £11,500 per day with card purchases. One weird thing is you can't change the PIN but I can live with that!

Email received from William Hill:

I'm writing regarding your Priority Access Card.

At this time we are preparing to send replacement cards to customers, however for legal reasons we require you to notify us of your occupation.

If you could reply to this email with this information we would be grateful for your co-operation, unfortunately if we do not receive this we may need to suspend your card until we do receive it.

We hope to hear from you soon.

My card still has two years left on it and I'm not expecting a new one. I don't want to tell them my occupation and I don't like being threatened with having the card suspended. Is there really a legal requirement for them to know my occupation? Even though this is a small request it has really annoyed me!

Are they taking the piss?

Tell them its none of there business and when we are on the subject of business I will now be using Coral casino, Thats if there not the same company, Who knows whats going on in this Industry now days

I remember being duped, erm I mean 'asked' to partake in a survey regarding these cards. Along the lines of would they appeal to you, would you use one etc etc.

I thought they weren't a bad idea really, I remember opting that the William Hill logo stay on the card as I'm not ashamed to be a degenerate gambler.

Pretty much all credit goes to me really. Shame I won diddly squat for my crucial input, mind.

Bastards :(

I was going to reply saying my occupation is porn star but have decided to ignore their email. It is in the card T&Cs that they can require proof of income, so I'm guessing that will be their next request if I reply to this one, and I'd rather sacrifice the card than go down that road. I have withdrawn £5k cash with the card in the year that I've had it so maybe I have flagged up as a money laundering risk.

Interesting to hear they are no longer taking applications.

Further intrusion from William Hill:
I would like to update you on the situation with your Priority Access Card. Since you have hit the threshold for usage of the priority card, we require that you send us some form of notarized document which will just confirm to us what you do for a living - this is merely a form of due diligence and in no way means you are investigated.

The document required could be in the form of a bank statement (showing your wages going into the bank), that has an official bank stamp on and is also on official letter headed paper. Alternatively, a work contract or wage slip that has been notarized by a solicitor - we wouldn't want you to be out of pocket so are happy to pay costs should you choose this option. Often, your bank will notarize for free.

I have added a link below which explains notarized documents.

I want to stress again that you are not being investigated here - we are simply contractually bound to require certain information when you hit thresholds on the card. Once we have the required information, we can look to reactivate the card. As I said earlier, your William Hill account isn't affected in any way.

Once you have the document, you can take a photo which clearly shows all corners and reply to this email, attaching the photo.

I have also noticed this thread where maxd warns that William Hill can get very invasive regarding players financial affairs: https://www.casinomeister.com/forum...nvasive-kyc-unresponsive-to-complaints.65708/
