Warning Spoliers Who Will Take the Iron Throne?

I'd have to imagine the throne is still standing, even if it gets melted into molten metal in the end

Still gonna miss the show, rushed season aside and wonder who and what show will try to fill the void left after

Or like getting Bonanza's multiplier up to 50 with 15 spins left on a £4 bet (seasons 1-7) only to have the game crash on a screen full of rubies (season 8) :eek2:

I believe they are currently working on a prequel called the long night. That aside we got to season 4 of the Expanse to look forward to.

Wont be able to it watch till tommorrow night for reasons i wont go into so no postings on here tommorrow please :)
or, yanno, just dont read the thread til after youve seen it :P

With Dumb & Dumber trying to throw us red herrings everywhere I think it will all come back to Daenerys, she'll have her evil ass on that throne

With Sansa definitely a dark horse

Yeah don't listen to Dumb and Dumber they haven't a clue:)

You keep believing Daenerys will be on her throne with her pet Dragon sitting beside her to fetch her slippers.

I think the last dragon will go the way of the dodo, but it'd be a cool little end scene to see a little cache of dragon eggs somewhere, suggesting theyll appear one day in the future

No doubt they will.

What a novel idea for when the directors produce Star Wars. As they are fighting with Light Sabers one stumbles across all these hatched eggs. But then again even they could not make hundreds of lasers miss a Dragon. Or could they:rolleyes:

But i very much doubt the Dragon will die tonight.

well, Star Wars is set a long time ago :P But...space dragons...nerds everywhere will wee a little bit :p

How are they going to wrap everything up in the final episode, I hope its not a rush job :(

I really enjoyed GOT all the way through maybe not so much the last episode as it was crazy.

Under all that rubble the Iron Throne is still standing, I like to think :)

surprise twist

0 spoilers for those as not watched

Probably loads will be unhappy, but it's an ending and a pat one at that.

Long road, epic journey and I hope we've a show to come that rivals in its scope. :)

oh, and the dog dies

(just kidding :P )

Dragons not only recognize what iron thrones represent, but have free will and are spiteful :what:

The episode was wrapped up about as well as could be, given what was before it. But Dumb & Dumber's directing is also shit, sorry to say

Wow,10 years of watching GoT for that pile of absolute nonsense. Season 8, with the exception of the Long Night, was horrific. Poorly written and how fucked up a deal has Jon Snow got ffs
Why is the Night's Watch still a thing??? The Wildlings are no longer a threat. Arya is now an explorer with NO setup. Gendry technically had the best claim to the throne after Jon since Gendry is Robert's son. Sansa says the North is now independent (fine) but Yarra is fine with the Iron Islands being one of the six kingdoms? Bran kinda alluded to the fact that he knew what was going to happen and that he would become king and nobody says shit to him about letting Danny go apeshit in the last episode without warning anybody? Jon gets told he needs to make a choice and stabs Danny a few minutes later (went from Ma Queen to you dead). The actors did a great job with what they were given but the script was pure trash. Edit: At least Ghost got some attention from Jon

God help Star Wars.

"You'll guard the realms of men but there's no wall or white walkers, did no one send you the memo?" :)

Obviously we had to suspend disbelief as the time lines were all over the shop, one minute Jon's shanking Danny, then we're several weeks ahead. I had to rewind the Sky Box to check I missed something, but no

For a brief second I thought Tyrion'd duped Jon into doing his dirty work so HE could claim power, but then I realized this was D&D's writing so it couldn't have been that :eek2:

Strangely felt sorry for Danny in the end, and of course Jon. I'd have ended the episode with Ghost's reunion myself

Spoilers below - scroll past if not seen the episode

dunno; Jon never really wanted power; he liked to lead and is a natural leader and naturally charismatic, but he's more a leader of a brotherhood than a nation, so he seems to be where he needs to be and will be happier for it.
Shame Nymeria didnt end on the boat with Arya :(
GreyWorm got off too easily and was rewarded with an island when he should have been run through by Jon

Dunno why Tyrion isnt master of coin - with every Lanister dead he must be rolling in it; he's good but become stupid and seems to be poor choice for hand - better a council member

Mostly, all in all, it was a satisfying, if rushed and anti-climatic, ending

How exactly John's origin made any f.. difference?
The story could only end with him dead or a king, nothing else.
maybe the point was jon discovering who he is instead of being told who he is..a Stark, a Targaeryan, a bastard, a king
in the end, he's a man, a friend, brother, a northerner

Nope. :D:p
"There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path."
He has been doing what a good king should be doing most of his life. The best king is the one that doesn't want to be king. The missing piece to who he really is was.... who he really is.
