I have noticed the changes in Casinomiester since I was last posting a few years ago that casino reps are no longer prepared to take part in the forums.

Are they simply happy to deal with compliance issues without having any interaction with members or has the forum created an atmosphere where they no longer want to participate?
Even forum competitions have gone which was a big attraction for members and traffic to those casinos.

Any thoughts?

Got a casino issue that needs attention? Check our Rep list: search for the casino name and send them a Private Message (PM). 90% of the time that's "problem solved" !
I do appriciate your endurance with posters like me so much over the years but where are all of the others? Has your ever availability scared them off?
To be honest, I enjoy keeping up with this place for industry news, game releases and general banter more than anything. We’re still a relatively small operator and I don’t get many work-related reasons to visit. I’ve also got many friends and acquaintances on here who will ping me if something Lottomart related pop up. I don’t think I’d call it an endurance. :)

Plus.. let’s not forget that CM has been part of my routine for so long, it’s hard to break free. I remember 10-12 years ago making TV adverts which claimed a previous place I worked at 👀 was the “best UK online casino” (it was!) and using this amazing site as evidence! It’s not easy to claim something like that in a TV advert! It got more difficult when it was best group etc lol.

EGO, Casino Rewards, Jackpot Capital Group to name three more. There are many others.

Plus in just this past couple of weeks we have had several more sign up.
EGo is on yes but mostly with situations which is the same situation of people having a difficult time getting paid which should this forum not be looking into and asked by others on this forum? The other 2 have been long gone for awhile now and I was going to ask weeks ago about casino rewards as they were on here quite a bit years ago.

I mean regulation has not helped and that could be a reason why too.

I can think of four reasons:
  • a bunch of companies - including BTG and NLC - that have been bought up by bigger names, so no need to be active in the community anymore
  • companies that are more focused on survival - e.g. tax hikes, regulation changes, pivoting to different jurisdictions
  • the CM community has changed in recent years with a sharp increase in new accounts asking for help - it's a useful public service but it doesn't really foster a community ethos when those people never return.
  • and probably the biggest one, the industry pivot towards monopoly money streamers and associated shady and/or illegal antics... which we have been very vocal against.

JMO but I believe a large part of it is the changing landscape of the industry. Years ago a place like CM was an excellent venue for a new casino to get its toes into the player community — which was considerable — and get themselves noticed, hone their offerings and programs, chit-chat with the competition, etc. But that scenario was predicated on a couple key realities of the day: small-ish casino operations, and some measure of longevity in the rep saddle, meaning not shuffling off at the earliest opportunity to some other more lucrative and less “exposed” position within their respective companies.

With the massive drift toward amalgamation and consolidation within the industry many of the factors that made being an active rep rewarding and compelling back in the day have evaporated. Casinomeister was more or less an open marketplace for small-ish, individual-driven casinos but how many of those are there these days? And thusly, how many companies see value in paying someone to spend time as a rep here VS buying ads on whatever platform is the place to be these days? With all those changes afoot I think the whole rep scene has undergone a widespread deflation as a result.

Now, all that said, there are still a fair few experienced reps here though many have opted to hang back in the shadows and avoid the fray of the open forums. Also, I’ve recently learned that “a lot of casinos avoid Casinomeister because they don’t want to go up in flames on the forums”. So I think it all comes down to return on investment: what do you get back for spending time and effort on the forums? All of the above has, I think, said “not much” and so the rep benches have emptied.

At first that looks like a pretty gloomy picture BUT I think there are a number of factors _currently_ at play that will change some of the metrics we’ve had to live with these past several years. For one thing having Gentoo behind Casinomeister has all of a sudden lit a fire under the whole Sales and Marketing side of site. Gentoo is driving a lot of new — or at least new to us — casinos toward the forums. We’ll have to make space for them, give them a voice here, and frankly introduce them to forum life.

Also, suddenly, there are real financial resources available to flesh out areas of the site that have suffered a little malnutrition over the years, to have more staff contributing content and supporting material to the site, and (to put it bluntly) experiment a little with ideas to rekindle both interest in the site and the value of the site to players and casinos.

And last but not least there is the huge issue of the big guy hanging up his gloves. Undoubtedly that is a loss to the site, no question, but it’s also revealing itself as an opportunity for those of us who simply must step up and assume some of his responsibilities. It’s time to up our game, take on new roles, and that inevitably brings some fresh ideas to party. Not easy, not always fun, but there is no shortage of challenge here and in many ways that’s not a bad thing.

BTG is active on Twitter, NLC they active on other forum

I wouldn't consider Twitter in the same category, but fair enough about NLC - they've had a pretty rough ride here, and also with their intense focus on the monopoly money crowd and irresponsible gameplay then we are not going to be a good fit for them.

My original observation applies though, with that much money behind them they don't need to try anymore - and both BTG and NLCs recent output is testament to that...

Arguably BTG and NLC are slots developers and not casino reps. If you go to NLC's website you will see they are very active communicating with their own fans, not so much with BTG - but when you have 500m in the bank, maybe you don't need to.

I personally would like to see more reps engaged with the forum, I think it would have a net positive for the brands they represent.

real money gamblers is small % they will go and buy bonus on NLC for 1000x or 2000x, fake money staramers is their target
