When did you last use Cash and what for?

Cash is still widely used in Hong Kong despite there being a number of platforms enhancing cashless payments. The elderly do not believe in credit cards or other payment systems, taxi drivers dont accept anything except cash and at wet markets only cash can be used. That said, with reports emerging that money can be contaminated with the deadly coronavirus cash is being less used for fear of infection. As for myself, I havent used cash for ages as my purchasing is mostly done online including food delivery. So the few hundred quid in my wallet has hardly budged.

Not really in favour of a cashless society, the 'balance' of cash/ debit cards/ virtual payments is fine. Don't see the point of eliminating cash when there'll always be a need for it in some capacity.

Nor am I sure eliminating choice is a good thing, I thought that was key in a 'progressive' society

It would take a special kind of special to not wash your hands after handling money, yet further proof of telling everyone what's best for them and 'others'

20 bucks says people still lick their fingers to separate bills

I used to put coins in my mouth as a kid for the 'zingy' taste

Never did me any harm

Barely touch cash these days and haven't for years: primarily because it's manky; ugh, the places it's probably been before u handle it :puke:

The only time I really use is if on Holiday.

Even my mum's stopped posting me 50 quid for birthday and instead is 'Go into my bank and transfer yourself 50' - i didn't say she'd breached her banking t's and c's; mainly cos it's to my advantage.
