Hey Bryan, what's with the little messages up above the "your notifications" area? I have received one that says "having trouble sleeping pacers31" and another that says "up late tonight pacers31". It isn't late where I'm at, so I don't get the question???? Besides, why would you care how or when I sleep?? Just curious.

Like it was mentioned, you need to fix the time zone in your user cp. And yes, I care about all my members' health, if they're getting enough sleep, eating correctly at the right times, etc. :D

By the way, there are certain "Easter egg" messages that appear for only one minute during specific times of the day. I don't think anyone has spotted them yet :p

... you need to fix the time zone in your user cp.

For those of you that are looking for it, you'll find the 'Edit Options' item down the User CP right hand column a bit. Click it.

The Time Zone selection is about 2/3 of the way down the Options page that comes up.

I'm a stay-at home single mum who doesn't have much contact with other adults. I actually appreciate that someone's worrying that I'm staying up too late or reminding me that its lunchtime lol. But is it a bad sign when I start to actually talk back to my computer or if my heart skips a beat because someone's caught me out still up at 2am ??? ( Can u see me in my pyjamas)lol.

Ain't nothin' wrong with good ole southern cookin'!

My granny used to make fried apple pies....ever had one of those?
Oh.....I could eat at least 5 or 6 of them. :)

Chess Pie

Well I'm a southern gal but we each have our own particular stuff native to the region we live in. I didn't know  what a chess pie was either so I looked it up on Wikipedia cause I think Laurie is spinning those wheels at clubworld so she is busy. ;) Here is what I found. "Chess pie is a dessert characteristic of Southern U.S. cuisine. Recipes vary, but are generally similar in that they call for the preparation of a single crust and a filling composed of eggs, butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. What sets chess pie apart from many other custard pies is the substitution of corn meal for flour. Some recipes also call for corn syrup, which tends to create a more gelatinous consistency. The pie is then baked. The resulting pie is very sweet and often consumed with coffee in order to offset this somewhat. Although preparation of a pecan pie is similar (with the obvious addition of pecans), pecan pie usually contains corn syrup."

Sounds pretty good uh!

What's a chess pie?

You are making me hungry! I better stick to my diet and eat an apple...
...........easy pie to make........1 half cup of sugar... 1 stick of butter slightly melted...3 eggs...1 tbsp vinagar...2 tbsp milk...1 tbsp vanilla....1 tbsp corn meal.....cream sugar and butter, add eggs one at a time, stir after each addition, add vanilla and corn meal, mix until creamy smooth....bake in pie shell at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. you can also add chocolate or coconut. its a very easy recipe and a southern favorite:)

Your version sounds a lot better than Wikipedia's. Ummm and it could be chocolate......even better~

Perhaps you'll settle for just the "crap" and not the meister :p

Of course it's fattening........but it's good. Moderation is the key. Matter of fact moderation applies to almost everything edible or drinkable. :)

Think I saw one: "Got milk?" at about 6:15pm.

Did I see one that asked (paraphrasing): Do you know where your children are?:what::confused:

Got that one too Nash............it's 11:00 p.m., do you know where your children are? :what::what:

Well, I never know where my children are................never had any children!;)

Ok, ok, maybe I do know where they are......................they're at the children factory!:D

I was eating a sandwich and looked up and saw "are you enjoying your lunch, mojo? I replied (aloud) 'yes, thank you'.

I made some spaghetti and looked up and saw "what's for dinner, mojo?" I replied (aloud) 'spaghetti since I didn't have much imagination today'.

I now find myself talking to the forum and...it talks back!! :eek2:

I find it a nice unique touch. :)

ps...I could use a reminder that my nap time is around 3pm.

:lolsign:

If these neat little messages (which I love by the way!) bother anyone, than your world is way too perfect for me! What do you do when a dog shits on your lawn?..put a gun to your head?
