Whats with RTG changing the style/behavior of the spins for their games -- OLD n NEW

About a week ago I logged into Jackpot Capital and found that Trex has been updated -- almost looks hi-def now but what bothers me is the spin behavior is jerky and quick -- just like with Loch Ness Loot. If you get 2 triggering scatters, the remaining reels come down much faster than before.

So then tonight I see the Trex update at ClubWorld and after several minutes of downloading it now spins the same way too. Not all the games do this but most of the new ones and I dont like it at all -- in fact, even on a spin I win, I just hate watching it come down.

WHY OH WHY is RTG making this change? I'm guessing its to push us thru more spins... or some idiot in a lab somewhere thinks the faster/erratic spin behavior is better so they are going this way.

Is there any other reason for the updates not only to new games but now older ones?

Too bad cuz these are both very good casinos --- I dont want to have to give up on RTG like I did Rival.

RTG should update their platform to remove the maximum win on older games. I notice it isn't in effect for some of the newer games - f.e. Vulcan. Why is this outdated rule still on the older games like Mystic Dragon and TRex, where it is theoretically possible to hit way over the max win in free spins?

There is still a max win on Vulcan. It is 150,000x line bet.

Prior to the change I could estimate with a 95% accuracy as to whether individual eggs will land on the screen. Not any more. It spins for a much lesser period and not the full length of the reel.

Actually noticed this on inet the other day, I thought it was just me! Same with loose caboose - you could tell if the third scatter was gonna land due to seeing it appear at a certain time (I'm sure you know what I mean if you play a lot of rtg :P).

Trex was my favorite RTG game , but no more.
I noticed this changes first at Jackpot capital, Grande vegas and then at Inetbet.
I find this new way spinning of reels very frustrating, and I am glad that no one else likes it too.

The T-rex slot ,together with several other slots are supposed to be quite entertaining but now the feeling is poor. I just tried it again and disliked it. I am sure more players will be inclined to play less at these slots and overall patronage at RTG will suffer. Can one of the accredited groups, CWC,Slotocash or JC have a word with these jerks.(pun intended)

I uninstalled after playing this morning. It's not only the new games but the old ones as well. My favorite is crystal water and I can't stand the way it's spinning now. I like to get comfortable, watch the reels spin and relax. Even if they did get the jerkiness out of the reels the spin would still be much faster.

Feels like I'm speed spinning..lol

I only play 3 or 4 games and Trex was one of my faves... no more. So if they do this to any of the rest, I just won't play RTG any more.

It's not about winning -- we all like to win -- but we know odds are we're going to LOSE and LOSE BIG. So if they take away the entertainment while spinning, then WHY BOTHER?

I emailed Jackpot Capital Mgmt to ask about this and pointed them to this thread -- no one on any of the forums or VIP affiliates I talk to like it. In fact, everywhere I got people are saying this makes them want to play elsewhere. RTG is making a HUGE mistake!

Made a few small deposits at RTGs recently, but I just don't enjoy playing it this way.
I hope they will change back the way off spinning reels, or I am sure I wont be playing at RTG casinos anymore.

Change RTG spinning back to before!

agreed.. me neither. I'll go back to 3dice.... my only other real option for U.S. //

Be sure to email support and the managers for your RTG casinos and COMPLAIN! Otherwise they will NEVER change it back

They are broke that's why they are 'fixing' it to allow more spins and squeeze more from you and me.

Yes I think that's 100% it. And as for Trex specifically... the last 5 years, Trex has provided some of my biggest wins and screenshots.

But the last 10 to 11 deposits, I've seen the average bonus round pay LESS THAN 1x (one times) bet. My biggest Trex free spins/bonus paid me 6x bet.
And just to test, I've been betting 50cents or so...

That's probably too small a sample to say for sure but anyone else getting unusually low paying Free Spins? I have also not gotten 4 or 5 eggs on Trex
this year after doing on numerous times last year. Wagered somewhere around $5 MILLION USD this year to date... on RTG without hitting 5 eggs..
again I only play Trex, Diamond Dozen, Triple Toucan and occassionally Paydirt ..... that' about it.

Of those 4, I've only hit the biggest spin possible 1 time -- 5 birds in free spins on Triple Toucan -- sadly on a low bet like 75cents or $1 I think.

And of all the years at RTG -- not once ever hit MAX PAYOUT... something like $25million in wagers -- according to my affiliates... maybe more since I dont have an affiliate account for every RTG casino.

Given its so hard to hit the biggest payout -- why the MAX PAYOUT at all? The chances of hitting big are sooooo incredibly in the odds of the casino.

Still, if you do play RTG -- only ones worth playing imho are Jackpot Capital and ClubWorld -- at least you get paid and their VIP service is very good.

I have emailed managers for these groups about WHY the spin behavior has changed -- esp on Trex (an older game) and so far NO REPLIES in nearly a week.

Actually I'm probably one of the few who don't mind the whole new spin ordeal.
Mainly because being able to eventually guess you were getting a bonus. Eventually took some of the fun out of getting the bonus for me.
So the new style of not being able to tell purely on the reel spin is sort of nice.
The only complaint I have about the updated RTG is the constant when you've run out of money. Opening of a cashier window to get you to deposit again. I guess I like the old style your out of money, do you wish to deposit box. Then this new common deposit, here's the credit card screen. All ready for you to make another deposit ordeal.
I guess that might just be me though.

I have noticed a change in teh game paydirt over the past few months. YOu hardly get the free spins anymore, and when you feel like one should about to drop, a nugget falls instead.
When you do hit you almost always get the gold rush feature, that never has any nuggets in it and that iis supposed to have more. It was my favorite game, but after this , in three casinos playing the same way the last couple months I stopped playing it. It just drains the bank roll.

As far as the spins, I dont mind that I usually play the stop button because I like fast play, but the jerkiness in games like lockness and build the beaver, drive me nuts so I do not play them. They need to fix that.

I play in Turbo mode so hadn't noticed a lot of this although I did notice it seemed to be playing oddly in free spins. I just thought it was my computer. On T-Rex I agree, it kills me to get the retrigger during the feature and still walk away with .90. Really?

I seem to do the best on Texas Tycoon so for now that's what I'm sticking with!

Yep i think I had one retrigger on Trex 3 or 4 times and still won less than $5 on a $1 bet. The "Trex" just never showed up in 20+ spins.

I also dont like the jerky spins... nor the cashier popping up. Everything is pointing towards faster spins, faster deposits... give us your $$$ mentality..

but one of my latest withdrawals took way too long to get ... I reversed half of it... another casino sent me a check and my bank's been trying to collect on the funds for 4 weeks now -- so its pending.

Takes a millisecond to deposit.... takes days or weeks to get it out..... they've got to make the whole experience more friendly ... that's what 3dice was trying to do when they came around -- and they've done everything right EXCEPT they dont have enough games... not even close yet... maybe in another 3 or 4 years but by then Vegas and Atlantic City will be in the game with online/mobile gaming... U.S. is tired to losing revenue overseas

Meantime, RTG --> put it back like it was!!

I dunno Trex did rather well for me yesterday, he's a screen shot to prove it.

Nice.... i'm sure there will be wins... my biggest issues is the WAY it spins... i hate the style... i never play Loch Ness Loot or Builder Beaver because of it.

As for the variance, it still seems higher.... out of the last 15+ features, only one paid more than 3x bet. At least 10 of them paid LESS than 1x bet.

Still I can live with that --- or move on. But if the jerky/distorted spin behavior continues, I'm closing my RTG casino acct.

Lets hope they read this thread -- I've emailed casino managers and after 2 weeks NO ONE has commented -- not even on their Facebook pages.

Don't forget Slotocash & their sister Desert Nights - they're accredited here and also have reopened their Rival doors to US players so you actually have accredited Rival to play now, too. (I really need to start getting a commission for how much I talk them up on the boards.)

Crystal waters

Crystal waters was one of my FAVORITES... HOWEVER FOR THE Past 5 or 6 weeks I have noticed that a player cannot right click on there mouse as before with this game. I love to alternate right and left clicking my mouse when I am PLAYING,,,, Anyone else noticed this change? What is GOING ON RTG?::(

Actually from what I have gathered, there converting all of the RTG games to this new spin style/format. So that way when they have a free spin promotion, they actually have more games to choose from than a select few. In order to give the operator a larger selection of free spin or tournament games. The games have to be converted over to this new format. Otherwise it just simply won't work with the way the games were coded before. That's what I have gathered so far on why the new spin format has come up on us, but honestly any of this non sense about how the games are going to pay any tighter or looser under the new format. Is just simply tin foil hat time upon again.

Right, my biggest complaint was the WAY the spin (jerky, faster) and not so much if it appears to have been tighter or not -- that's subjective.

But you can't argue the graphics are less fluid, the slow spin when you get 2 scatters is all but gone and it does seem overall they are pushing us to spin/play faster. I don't really care about the new format allowing FREE SPINS for promos -- those things are usually at 1c or 2c per line --- rip off.

Since someone posted Sloto has brought back Rival, I may go back there IF RTG starts wiping out the other few games I love with the new format.

I'll take the USD $xxx, xxx allocated for RTG and put it into Rival and/or 3dice - or just wait for U.S. govt to regulate in 2014 or 2015 when they start allowing more competition to open up. Poker just made it back, onling gaming is coming soon.

Doesn't matter whether its RTG or Rival this group is worth praising as they normally treat players from almost everywhere with respect. There may be things like inexperienced support staff they need to work on but IMO they are heading in the right direction.

But they hate players from Finland .

On the topic. I just tried T-Rex and achilles on Inetbet with fun money. Could not see any difference :eek2:. Are the reels spinning faster or what the heck has changed. Cant seem to understand whats all the fuzz is about.

Is it just my download lobby or is anyone else having this problem at Slotocash? I have been to chat and pm'd Georgina here with the problem but no one thinks it's important.

I took a bonus and deposited. I get all the way down to twenty cents and it won't let me spin. An error pops up and says not allowed. If I reduce the lines to 15 cents it'll let me spin. If I try to spin that last 15 cents, the error pops up again and I have to reduce the bet to 10 cent to spin. I'm always having to reduce the line bet to spin and it has cost me handsomely on one occasion.

I always have one cent left in my account and before I could spin 1 line for 1 cent...very irritating.

new jersey online casinos are supposed to be up and running by end of year. If they form partnerships with surrounding states, you may be able to play online in U.S. if you're from that area.

I do not like the change in the slots at RTG at all !! can't concentrate, feels like a constant battle. My counts are thrown off.. scatters just appear to mess up your bonus when it has already stopped.. same losing screen over and over. Now I can count a losing sequence instead of my instincts on a winning sequence. Why would any one trying to make money off a gambler, mess with our counts and superstitions. Bad move.

What change says RTG?

I just finally got a note back on my inquiry with management at Jackpot Capital:
RTG HAS MADE NO CHANGES TO TREX other than "normal maintenance".

Really?

Go play the Trex game -- it absolutely 100% spins differently. I'm not talking about outcome and results, I'm talking about behavior and speed.

For instance, go play the Triple Toucan game and go FULL SCREEN and do a few spins, then go play Trex.
Then go play Builder Beaver and you'll see that the style, speed and format for how Trex now spins is just like Loch Ness Loot or
Builder Beaver. It's not slow (normal) like with Triple Toucan. Plus, the day this started when I went into JPC and opened Trex -- it did a very very long download "update". Then, suddenly it was spinning faster and jittery/eratic. Then within a few days all my other RTG casinos also had this "Update" available and forced me to download it and now they all spin fast/jerky like Loch Ness Loot, Hairway to Heaven and Ninja and so on. Can't stand it.

Plus when I get 2 eggs for example, it used to spin nice and slow and I could sit and watch for awhile to try to guess/predict (yes predict) if the 3rd egg was coming down and I could get it about 80% of the time right... and now it's fast and jittery and no idea what's going on. Over before the fun starts.

Are we all just crazy? RTG says "NO CHANGE" was made to the behavior???? How do we get in touch with RTG?

There is no way that the ways the reels spins hasn't changed... I have my favorite game or 2 that I have been playing many many years.. The action for sure is different. It makes me jittery and erratic. Not sure if the payout has changed, but what I like to see in a game has to be pleasing the eyes and either super exciting or pleasantly calm. I thought it was my computer for awhile, kept clicking out of the game and back in... it smoothed it out for awhile, but then just when back to jumping and sputtering. It's like putting money in a broken vending machine. :eek2:

Great to see other people noticed this too. At first I thought there was something wrong with my connection and it was causing the changes in spinning. There are a few times when change isn't good.
