Goldbeard is such a great slot, my new favorite easily

It's not the most exciting in terms of flashiness but man goldbeard knows how to hand out some gold. Anyone else a fan?

So i at first played it awhile back and I honestly thought it was terrible, but I have always noticed it's random filling up rather decently which always told me people play and I so I tried if again about a week ago and wow... What a game and from my observations here's why.

So like most slots the feature rounds are your bread and butter, not that regular spins aren't good or can't be awesome but the money making is in them juicy bonus rounds.

I find myself chasing bonus rounds on so many games winding up with 2 out of 3 typically on so many spins, whether it's scattered 3, left to right, right to left etc... When you need 3 icons on 3 reels it can be a chase. But of course when you land it typically you're guaranteed a decent round of free spins.

The beauty I'm coming to find with goldbeard is that I don't chase the bonus rounds nearly as bad, they just happen because you only need 2 reels to trigger. And the fact that the heads come in a column, so even getting only 2 heads and say a 6 spin round, or a 7, is huge because it only takes on spin to turn a 2 dollar or dollar bet into 2 3 4 500 bucks... So I get a ton of small bonus rounds AND then the bigger rounds when I'm landing 6 goldbeards, or 4 etc... And I'm getting upwards of 15 to 20 spins is icing on the cake.

Now the fun part...goldbeards multipliers are just so good, I mean it's amazing what dollar and 2 dollar bets can get you, hell even 40 cents I had a few 100 dollar hits and the spin wasn't even that great. Every time I have had sessions now I am able go finesse it and I'm hitting 200 400 600 dollar bonus rounds. I racked up 3200 bucks in about 2 or 3 days.

I found it's just alot easier to sort of feel a bonus round coming In this game because I consider the small ones partials as you might only have 4 or 7 spins but they are huge because like I said one spin can put you ahead huge.

And the icing on the cake for me was before I clocked I took some 5 and 10 dollar shots, hit a bonus on 10 and nailed 2000 dollar hit with one goldbeard and 4 ships. If I has 2 goldbeards and 3 ships and any other combos, would of been absolutely nuts.

So yea, had to drop some praise on this game... If you never played it or if you did and gave up on it, give it a try again. Alot of quick start and stops on the reels does wonders in Goldbeard.

Can't honestly say I've played it that much, but it' definitely one of RTG's better old slots IMO.
I remember seeing quite a few great screenshots here, back in the day.

Software companies are always churning out new slots as fast as they can - but the reviews here at CM show that most are just drivel.
There have been many great slots going back nearly two decades - and a lot of them are better than this new dross.

It's good to see someone get enthused by such an old slot, but that goes to show how much better most of them are.

They were designed to get you playing with anticipation of a big win, same can't be said for today's crap. Hard to imagine a time when designers put more effort into making a good game, as opposed to just good graphics and infantile themes

Yea, I'm all about payouts.. I totally couldn't care about flashy I just enjoy games that are exciting for hits and man this one is just great. Crystal waters is another, I've gotten some mega hits on the game but those sailboats can really be infuriating.

But yea, the oldies can be awesome... I just find the the fact it's easier to hit bonus rounds to be totally awesome.

Aztecs was my old go to, actually won a random last year... The post is somewhere, but hit for 9500 on it. But same as crystal waters, I just get so frustrated always hitting 2 out of 3 idols for the bonus, but love how big these RTGs can hit at times.

I don't play RTG all that often anymore due to CAD being in the toilet, but one I always liked. Just be mindful you've been lucky, the pirate can steal your booty too.

If you enjoy goldbeard, you may like the original Enchanted Forrest too.

I used to play this game a lot. You have got lucky and I hope it continues for you but gold beard is quite high volatile so be ready for that

Oh I'll be ready hah the reason I felt it a little different was my sessions were spread out over a few days with it and while not even bonus round was explosive, the constant of it all was just being able to achieve bonus rounds more regularly than other games.. And like I said thats been the case every time I play where say Crystal waters or Aztecs Gold, I can sometimes put 100 or 200 in and seemingly never get a feature round. Goldbeard just somehow feels more consistent in that aspect.

Have you guys ever put in time with Crystal waters and or Aztecs? I actually love both... But when they're cold it's colder than a witches tit. But man those juicy feature rounds, you can explode with some massive hits.

Sorry pic linking wasn't really working.. Worked on this the last 2 days.. Hit that 10 buck bonus round and crushed it, I pop them every now and then and it's always a good time. Then finished off with a quick 5 buck bonus round and nice hit.

I've had my cold spells with bovada but I'll say this when they break they freaking break. Good times, loving this slot more and more .

Ending my run at 3900 bucks. That's about 7000 since June 12th which was my last cash out.

Well glad that the switch is flipped back to on!

Seriously, great game... Has to be my all time favorite now.. What kicked me to about 4k was a dollar spin and landing 4 ships and goldbeard mixed in along with half of a run and goldbeard again, bout a 300 buck hit.. I have more screenshots now of hits with goldbeard than any other game easily..

It is a high variance slot even for RTG but easily in my top 5 favourite RTG slot list. I rarely play RTG these days as they are balance busters and when I do I tend to stick to the older releases. The newest game I play is either T-Rex or Paydirt both released together in 2009. Hate the newer RTG slots they are really a load of drivel for the most part. Old Goldbeard has paid me well in the past.

I think the biggest advantage it has is simply needing only 2 reels to kick a round off, that is huge when so many games you need 3.

I have cut way back on my play, but when I do, I play the older slots - Achilles, Aladdin, Golden Retriever, Warlock, and Enchanted Spins. Goldbeard doesn't hit all that much for me, though.

I don't know tho, but I've banked about 7k from it in a month and even lost a grand or two and rebuilt it. This game just rocks for me, what I love is the bonus rounds aren't as elusive as other games, that's what I find awesome.

For me I just want a slot that pays well and has big hits. I've been on a good handful lately and while most RTGs can hit really nice this one feels the best to me, I love it. I see flashy slots and couldn't care less really, it's all about the cash output for me and I'll play this game probably nonstop until it would stop paying lol

The game is absolutely glorious. So off my bovada points which was 60 bucks, I turned that into 900.

Many years ago, I hit a $7500 spin on goldbeard at $5 per spin WITHOUT even using the last column. I got three goldbeards, a boat in the middle of the second column, three goldbeards in the middle (it was inside a feature, so prizes tripled and goldbeards in the middle) and a boat in the middle of the fourth column. If goldies had come on the last column, I'm sure it would have been a max RTG 50,000x linebet (25c in this instance) payout. I wish I made a screenshot to share on the 1000x thread! If only there were more RTGs for USA players.
