Well done Paul from Coral

Hmm, I dont feel even slightly angry or any need to let off steam. Unlike others Im perfectly calm and in control of my senses. Im afraid it is no ones fault but the perpetrator if they decide to call someone a dick, their issue shite and use other gutter language. I can conduct myself without swearing. Im a man. Frankly Im not used to being abused for raising an issue on a forum. I thought this place would be held to a higher standard.

Well, lawdy and lawks, guess I been done tol' by my betters. I be out back beating muhself fo' speaking above muh station.

Unless there's something else going on here(?), then is this not an example of the "FU clause" being used? If so I thought casinomeister was against such clauses?
...
All casinos have FU clauses, and most businesses have them in general as well. I'm against FU clauses being used on a whim, but the casino contacted me and explained why they are enforcing the rule.

I'm taking this player's complaint for what it is - he's complaining about not being allowed VIP status. It has nothing to do with being owed winnings, or something of this nature so the severity is miniscule. He had read the terms, and he (apparently) understood that the casino had a right to determine whether to give him that status. They chose not to.

Instead of being reasonable - like filing a complaint with the

, he starts posting on the forum his grievance - that's fine and dandy. But instead of taking our advice - as in submitting a PAB, or contacting the ASA, he becomes trollish and attacks the casino, and veiled insults towards me and my judgement. That's probably why Max called him a dick.

@cowboypat

I never called you a liar, I told you to not bullshit me. There is a difference. If the word "bullshit" offends you, then you shouldn't be gambling. And yes it's true, you were being dickish. I explained your situation and gave you sound advice. You respond with a how-much-you-know-about-the-law platform and attack my judgement. You could have PABd, but you tossed that out the window, so I figure you are just pissing in the wind (oops, sorry :o).

If you know so much about the law, then you should have taken the legal route. But what are you really complaining about? You didn't get your free money or VIP status? Please - get a life.

Im assumming thats a reference to being banned? Given the abuse I've been exposed to it wont be necessary.

Okay, so that's it I guess. Adios.

I guess I'll implement my FU clause: :p

That's exactly why I called him a dick, that and his "I'm so very educated" BS attitude. My guess is he was someone we already knew, back under a new name, being a troll for whatever jollies that gets him. Game over.

I'm just being curious here but what kind of reasons would motivate a casino to deny VIP status to someone? Betting patterns?

Well one obvious reason is a player betting on red and black simultaneously just to generate comps....and lots do try it and just hope the casino won't check play logs too closely. Even doing it 25% of the time would be of great benefit whilst being harder to detect.

No doubt its something to do with how he bets. Its also probably why he's so pissed as he thought that, even if he did get sprung doing something dodgy, he could maisie on in here claiming to be legally trained (nothing worse than some douche pretending to know more about law than lawyers do....) and sprouting some crap about bait and switch or false advertising. It appears that the comps levels make you ELIGIBLE, which is different to a guarantee of acceptance into the VIP program.

Cashout patterns? :D

A winning player can easily get bonus banned at many casinos. I'm not saying that this is the case here, but I definately lost my bonuses at many casinos when I made several cashouts. I have never asked, but since I am bonus banned at Sloto'cash (an example), I really don't think I can earn vip status there.

There would be no point, as most VIP programs issue the benefits in the form of boni.

It's a problem casinos make for themselves. They often bonus ban players for nothing more sinister than having a run of luck, therefore we can't assume that just because a casinos has yanked a benefit, or denied an advertised benefit, it means the player has done something dodgy.

If it is possible to milk a VIP program simply by the way one bets, there is something wrong with the admittance criteria. It suggests that this so called VIP program is nothing of the sort, and is more of a lure to encourage players to increase the level of their deposits. Naturally, the intent is NOT to have clever players on the program, as they will end up beating the house. 1500 comps per month seems VERY low for eligibilty for the VIP program. I bet almost every player reaches this, but it is really down to whether the casino judge them naive enough to lose more from the lure of bigger bonuses to be upgraded, something they do NOT mention as a main criteria for entry.
