I say please don't do your thread titles in ALL CAPS. I'm getting tired -- and mildly annoyed -- at having to lowercase or titlecase each and every one of them. I think you know why I ask this -- ALL CAPS = shouting -- so I do hope I won't have to mention this again.

max in all do respect i was trying to shout out the message you see ive been having a bit of trouble with some malware
or add ware so i wanted to pass this casino exclusive malware / adware warning along to others who might become exposed to it

Webroot does not care about you. Webroot does not care about the health of your computer.

Webroot only cares about making a profit by selling their services.

I'm sure everybody knows that casino software is often reported as a virus. For all the legitimate casino software out there, it's a 'false positive' - it's not a virus, it's a mistake made by the anti-virus company.

Look at the bottom of that link you posted, it says :

That's a false positive. There's no virus.

Webroot knows perfectly well there's no virus in that file, but that wouldn't be a very interesting story would it?

Just like the mainstream media, it's more exciting to sensationalize a story. It increases pageviews, and it's "link bait" - it attracts links, just like the one you posted above.

More links = more visitors = more sales = more profit for Webroot. Who cares about the truth, so long as you can sell more products?

Yes the spam sucks, and it's most likely from unscrupulous affiliates, but it has nothing to do with viruses like Webroot are claiming. The software from these reliable casino sites is safe just like always.
