Virtual Double-Charges Me, but Fixes Mistake Quickly

You know, I like to think I'm ordinarily a reasonable guy.

I try to be polite and work through problems with casinos when I have them.

I try to give them a chance to rectify their mistakes before passing judgment.

But I'm pissed off now and ready to rant and rave, hence this post ...

Stupidly, very stupidly, I chose to go back to Virtual Casino yesterday. I got their newsletter in my email and saw that they offered a non-sticky 100% bonus up to $100 with decent WR. No, I don't need (nor want) to hear that I'm stupid for playing bonuses. It's my style of play and I've made good money over the last year and a half doing it.

I redeem the coupon before depositing, just like a player should. I deposit through NETeller (their "preferred" method ... whatever), and the Cashier takes forever before it says that it couldn't process the deposit. However, they can withdraw the $100 out of NETeller without a problem, which they did.

I contact Customer Service and they say that my deposit is processing and to check back in 15 minutes. I check back an hour later ... no money in the account. Another Customer Service chat and they finally credit my casino account with the money and bonus.

What do I find out today? They charge me ANOTHER $100 20-30 minutes after the first one!! Stupid idiots. Now I'm supposed to email their accounting department (which probably isn't open until Monday) and see what BS excuse and put-off maneuver I get told.

I can promise you this, though:

1. I WILL get that $100 back.

2. I WILL NEVER patronize the business of Virtual Casino again.

Return the double-charge forthwith, Virtual, and you'll never hear from me again. Take me off all your lists, all your offers, everything ... you aren't worth the time, trouble and stress you're giving me.

End of rant ...

Unofrtunately this is becoming a common problem with Neteller. You get some kind of error-message and the money doesn't show up in the casino-account, yet they are charged from the Neteller account. It's happened to me three times the last month or so and it happened to one of my friends also. The thing to do is to get the transaction code from Neteller (just go to their livechat) and then contact the casino. I've never had a problem getting the lost money back but it's really annoying...

I believe in giving credit where credit is due ....

In the time it took me to type the above rant and shoot off an equally angry email, the money was credited back to my NETeller account.

Kudos, Virtual, for solving a problem quickly and without any fuss. I'm sorry, but I still won't patronize your business again. Too much stress for me for something (gambling) that's supposed to be fun for me ...

I've changed the thread's title to reflect the fixing of the mistake.

sorry for the overcharge

Sorry for the confusion. As some of the others have pointed out, there have been a lot of snafu's with Neteller lately. But since they are a third party representitive of ours, I do apologize for the inconvienence. Please remember if this was your intial sign up we will send you some additional offers and inticements. If you no longer want our offers than you will need to E-mail our support and ask to be removed from future mailers.

People are too quick to go off on things from one simple mistake that does happen in life, get over it. The mistake was fixed, what's the big f'ing deal? My bank f's up all the time and I say nothing because I know that they will fix it. Why would you post this so fast and not wait until it is fixed which it was and caused you to come back and re post that it was fixed. This is ridiculous.

Cut me a break here. I was pissed off as hell and anticipated having to wait until AT LEAST Monday for this to be rectified; I'm human, not a "bot" playing casinos (no offense Vortran ;) ).

When you're perfect and don't make mistakes, get back to me. At least I admitted my mistake and gave Virtual the credit and kudos they deserved.

Geez ...

I think there is a major difference between a major bank making mistakes and a casino making mistakes. You don't know whether the latter will fix the problems or choose to drag them out. Whereas a major bank would most definitely fix the problems. It is the trust issue here that is why it is easier to blow off towards casinos than banks.

I got into the suds so I was a little belligerent. My apologies, but we do need to be careful when making "not recommended" posts and "stay away" type posts when it can hurt a business. Especially if it is so soon after what could very well be a mistake. It does happen all the time just like you say. If things were not cleared up and you were ignored then it warrants a "caution" warning.

I've had the same neteller problems at MG casinos a couple of times lately too, so its definitely not specific to virtual. Always seems to happen when you get a timeout while waiting for the deposit to go thru. Neteller debits you, but the casino doesn't credit your account. Each time it happened, the casino fixed it up right away (manual credit to my account). Probably was due to the upgrades Neteller was doing recently.
