Unethical bonus?

I am currently in hour 42 of a minimum of 48 "pending period" at Casino Rewards. At the weekend I was lucky enough to win a life-changing amount of money playing slots.

Ever since I cashed out on Sunday night, I have received 5 emails with special offers and to top it off this one came through exactly 24 hours after I hit the withdraw button

As they are accredited here I wanted to see the views of others. Am I being targeted by all this email because I have reversed many times before?

This has been discussed on here before. Same Group, very similar, if not the same offer.

Cannot find the thread (sorry) but I do know it was seriously frowned upon by members and the CR group slated for it.

That sort of e-mail would make me even more determined not to touch even one penny of my pending cash out, please do the same!

Life changing says it all, PLEASE do not spoil that and CONGRATULATIONS!

What ever their reason for targeting you - don't do it! Just patiently wait for the money to hit your bank account.

And congrats on your win!

Normally casinos 'imply' that they want you to reverse by virtue of long pending periods but first time I've seen 'Reverse, DO IT'

I would be offended at the 25% offer! Wow!

They want you to reverse, they better be offering a lot higher % than that!

No way is it worth it! Especially if it is a "life changing" win as you say!

Stand your ground!

Congratulations!

I don't understand how any casino can do a thing like this. It's as unethical as can be

Is the winning so high that the casino will suffer from it? I really really hope it's that much because they don't deserve to be in business. They lost that right the same moment as they sent that offer out!!!

Congratulations to your win. It was just 4 hours left when you made that post so I know you didn't reverse. Enjoy the money. It's a perfect revenge:thumbsup:

I'd hope in the least, that if the player did reverse X amount that the original withdrawal wouldn't be reset to 2 days pending from the moment a reverse is actioned . Did you have volume on when opening the mail? Wouldn't suprise me if there was audio looping the chorus of sam smith's 'money on my mind'

It's bloody unethical, encouraging irresponsible gambling and I personally believe this CR shower shouldn't be anywhere NEAR accreditation for this alone, let alone their despicable 'marketing' activities via that alleged third party.

It's rare for any casino to do this let alone accredited ones. Shame on you CR.

Just another example of casinos that pay lip service to accreditation - until greed gets the inevitable upper hand.

P.S. This type of shit e-mail to a winner is EXPLICITY FORBIDDEN for accredited casinos:

(See rule #9 Operational Standards in third section down)

I'm disgusted. This kind of outfit shouldn't be able to hold a European license of any kind. They drag all reputable casinos in the mud. I hope you send that email over to the UKGC.

I suspect Bryan will have a chat with these guys in the near future.

Here here!...

I've reported the post, as it does breach accreditation standards.

I think I've only once had such an offer from CR, and I was permitted to reverse part of it to claim the offer. But this was before accreditation. Accredited casinos are held to a higher standard.

Congrats on life-changing money. If it's not a progressive, CR does have some withdrawal limitations, so you may have to get your payments over weeks.

It is not unusual for very large wins to require additional verification or checks with the software provider, there's a recent thread about another casino.

So don't reverse no matter what. I CR is a long-established company, you will be paid if you don't gamble it back.

Just being nosy, but would you share how big? It doesn't always take a whole lot to change your life depending where you are, but I do hope it's a whopper.

FWIW I had a fairly large withdrawal with them a while ago that triggered my first ever ID request (and I've been with them closing in on 10 years now), and plunked it back because of not getting my crap together to send them everything. But I did take care of it later, and had a very nice win and prompt payout afterwards on a birthday chip last month.

While the waiting period is longer than many casinos, they have never been past their stated time frame paying, and occasionally faster.

But this kind of marketing is not acceptable for an accredited casino.

I survived, just! Money has been removed from my account and is now being processed by the payments team.

Had 8 hours of no power Tuesday night due to a nasty thunderstorm and took my grandkids out all day on Wednesday which was enough to keep away from the computer.

Never ever reverse anywhere else but for me at Casino Rewards is so hard because so many times I've had to wait three to five days if a weekend is involved.

It's hard enough as it is but when being bombarded with emails reminding you the money is there at a click of a button. Sorry for whinging but seriously 48 hours of unnecessary stress for me.

I had a cashout recently from a CR casino which was my first in quite a while over a month ago and I had the same kind of offer to do a reversal and get a bonus. I didn't fall for that crap one bit. This won't make me stop depositing at CR and as it is, I don't play there often as I have moved to other sites but all the same... It is total BS and shouldn't even be a thing!

I'd like to hear how the reps feel about this. I can understand the players point of view, but I'm also pretty sure this sort of practice is encouraged internally. The whole gambling business is unethical so not sure how unethical this is from a casino business perspective, they make their money from players and I can understand how they'd want to reverse, rather than payout, a withdrawal request.

Not saying it's ok, but I know CR are not the only Casino doing this. We need a revolution in how Casinos treat players, winners and bonuses

Whinge away Ritae it's good that you started this thread and brought this issue to light. Now that Bryan is on the case we will see what happens in the future. Glad you stayed strong and didn't reverse. Congrats on your win!

Well? Any news on the fact this shower are irrefutably offering reversal bonuses on top of their disgraceful 'promotional' calamities?

Or shall we be renaming them 'Teflon Rewards' soon?

i dont think its unethical per say to be fair.....whats unethical is them not clearly showing important bonus T&C and a rubbish % match

im sure it wouldnt be unethical if it was 100% up to $500 with 10xD+B wagering( and that bonus funds are allocated, probably unlike this shitshow casino)

It's strictly forbidden to offer any bonus while on pending. If the OP had taken that bonus, the casino could of and would of forfeited the winnings. CR is a greasy piece of an excuse for a casino brand, and I hope the OP soaked them good with the winnings! :D:D

Unfortunately CM does (along with the majority here including me) and therefore I am waiting to find out what action is being/has been taken.

This deplorable situation proves to me that leopards can't change their spots. They can camouflage it for a while but they reverted back to form quite quickly. CR weren't in the accredited section for a long time due to dodgy practices this one being one of them if memory serves. They get put back on and are good for a while but now look at them trying to do players out of winnings in a sneaky manner. Shame on them. I do hope their accreditation status will be revoked or at least maybe be put on suspension until this practice is stopped.

Back in 2010, I had a huge win in CR in mega moolah isis (more than 7500). Immediately I see a popup message congratulating me and adding 500 bonus in my balance!

I remember being upset about it because I was playing with cash and I figured they did this to stop me from cashing out (it wasn't from any promo I had opted in). Fortunately all games were hot and didn't give it any more though. :)

Im dont see any problem there. They give you automatic 500€ bonus - you dont need this bonus - so after you noticed they add you unwanted bonus before you make first spin you contact with them and ask to removed 500€ bonus and they need removed - they cant forced players to play with unwanted bonus.
