Whine and Moan Tropica casino - 10 000% bonus?

Is this anything other than a complete bonus scam?

It's not a scam if the Terms are clear, which apparently they were when you took the time to read them.

Thread title changed to better reflect the actual topic presented for discussion.

FYI posting with a thread title that states, or insinuates, that the casino is bent and cheating players will almost always ruffle some feathers, especially when your problem was your own fault and what you're really saying is that you just don't like what's on offer. Please don't misuse your posting rights here to harass a casino, or anyone else for that matter.

Noticed that! Will take it into consideration in the future :)

I agree that those huge deposit bonuses “extended my entertainment value” I was able to play for quite a long time.. I was able to try a few new games that I wanted to check out and almost made w/r before busting out.. However, the whole time I was playing, I couldn’t help but not trust all the rules and max cashouts and I thought that I probably missed some small print in the bonus rules… After busting out I played a 15.00 free chip …just because it was sitting there in my cashier window..It only had a 30.00 max w/d. I played for a few minutes ..made w/r and wondered how to get the 30.00 seeing as how the only w/d method was a Wire Transfer with 100.00 minimum. I felt so stupid for even playing that chip. I thought maybe I can use it as a deposit.
Well.. what they wanted me to do was open a Skrill account… make another deposit.. play that…and then feel free to w/d my 30.00. Maybe I missed it in the bonus rules, but Skrill was not mentioned anywhere.
I wondered if after playing such a long time on the first Deposit Bonus if in the end there was going to be some cooky cashout rule or some major no – no because of a certain game or wager I made.. Casholot bonus rules need to be made a little clearer so that bonus users that have stars in our eyes can have all the facts.
Not sure if I will go back.. I hope to, but the trust factor is not there yet.
Just sayin-
Jackie

I agree that the bonus terms need to be cleaned up. The 10% max bet and especially the 20% on a single game are hard to keep track of. I would prefer a specific bet size like $6.50 and it makes no sense to limit a % per game. They are all weighted against you equally I presume.

They need to deal with those small bonuses better for US players if they are going to cater to us. Either Don't offer them or up the cash out to $100.

IMO these guys are paying attention to comments like this and will make changes over time.

Hi,

We are almost done with new terms. They are under review now.

As for the $100 rule - we enforce this because our wire provider has a $100 minimum. That said, I understand your concern and have asked our wire provider if the minimum wire can be reduced. Will post here once I hear back.

Regards,
Dieter

Hi,

Good question.

We do offer comp points on some promotions, however removed it from most to stem abuse. We are going to be adding comp points back to offers that should have comp points (0-200%).

As mentioned before: we are setting up new offers and terms and hopefully these will meet everyone's expectations as we move ahead with our new brands.

Dieter

Well I offered up my $50.00 for a big bonus.. I got to play some new games and do well.. However, I still felt like a sucker, needed a math major to figure out all the terms (My College Son) although it wasn't the big bonuses that I didn't trust, It was the cash out terms that you find out about after the fact and of course wasting so much time. I am having a great time at Rival Sloto these days... that's where I will be when you figure out how to meet everyone's expectation's. Looking forward to it.

Because of the bank fees associated with a wire, I think the $100 rule actually makes sense since it turns out to be less after fees anyway. I would prefer to not even see that bonus as a US player.
It would be better IMO to design a bonus scheme for US players that meets the $100 wire minimum. Maybe that means we get less bonuses over the year, but the bonuses we do get fall within our banking limitations.

dont know if its been mentioned here but adding a feature were you can see how much you have wagerd would be awesome :) dunno why its not there yet, you click on your promo you are using and it should be there :) all you see is you have not met the wager or wagering is met :) asking support all the time is a tad annoying and i would think even more annoying for the support staff ;)

If a player don`t have much money to spent then the 5000 or 10000% bonus is a chance for these players to have a long playtime.

And to have a chance to win 625 with a 25 deposit is not bad. It`s 25x my deposit.

If I want uncapped winnings I play another bonus or I play without bonus. This bonus (10000%) is simply not made to have a quick win. It`s
an entertaining bonus. And we always have to remember that we play with money from the casino.

Last month I signed in to a few rival casinos, just to compare the bonus conditions. And I have to say that Tropica and Casholot are my number one because of the great bonus variety.

Two month ago I had stated that I never want to go in touch with Rival. Now I play exclusively Rival ( Tropica+Casholot) and I never had so much winner screenshots:D

Great rep here, CS also very helpful (Remy at first) and my favourite games.

I`m happy and I hope that the casino will stay on his good path.

Only just seen this thread...
I agree that 10% of deposit is ridiculously low for a promo like this (pretty sure they didn't say that a few months ago...?), but if it's clear in the T&C's than it's up to the individual player to decide whether to take it on or not.
I would rather take a promotion like this than the pathetic < 50% bonuses some casinos offer... :(

I happen to like this bonus for all the reason that you just mentioned. I can make a small deposit and play non stop all weekend or all week long. So I can get my "fix" for a small cost. I know that I have a small chance to win on this, but there is a chance. I only take this bonus to extend my entertainment value. Where else can you get 42 hours of entertainment for $25???

Free mode?

No no no!

Hi,

Wow, that is the most stupid thing I have ever heard. How did anyone say anything good about you at casinomeister is beyond me.

Lets do some fun math with your promotion, just so that you are aware of how retarded the requirements are:

1. deposit plus bonus = 2525 needs to be wagered 75 times = 189375
2. 10% of the deposit is 2.50, meaning I would need to spin 189375/2.50 = 75750 times
3. Now imagine that each spin takes approx 2 seconds to complete. so 30 spins per minute.
4. 75750/30= 2525 minutes would it take.
5 2525/60 = 42 HOURS OF PLAY WOULD BE REQUIRED!

and this for a limited win of only 650€, I will find it interesting to see what the people at casinomeister´s forum says about this. Surely they will agree that that I was ripped off.

Just another example of a crooked casino i guess.

Hi *****,

You are most welcome to post on Casinomeister. As a member there you should be aware of the following:

1. Always read the terms before agreeing to it. I.e. if this offer was "retarded", why did you take it?
2. Why do other members write favourable reviews about us? Try and find a legitimate complaint about us.
3. We have several offers available and you could have chosen any one of them.

I am sorry you feel we did anything untoward, however a breach of terms is simply that.

We will reply with our version of events on Casinomeister.

All the best,
Remy

Hi,

Since obviously I made a mistake, which I in no way benefited in what so ever as my winnings were not paid out.

However, I feel that since I didnt lose my money I deposited it would seem fair that the initial deposit can be refunded and the winnings void.

Do you not agree?

Hi,

We cannot concur as you agreed to the terms. I.e. you accepted that all winnings and deposit (if any) would be nullified when breaching our terms.

Do you agree?

Regards,
Remy

I am terribly sorry we could not roll out the red carpet for you after YOU breached our terms.

It never ceases to amaze me how people like you think you can break the rules and then threaten the casinos with forum posts and other nasty comments.

Seriously, why do you think it's ok to do that? I will be posting all correspondence on your Meister post so that readers can see what kind of person you are.

Remy

I have refunded the deposit as we don't want money from folks like this. I have also asked Rival to bonus ban him globally as my sentiment is that this is a seasoned player with a lot of experience who knew what he was doing or at least, meant to be doing and he should not be playing with bonuses.

We have 10 offers running every day across the 2 casinos and the OP could have chosen anyone of them.

This offer is for those who wish to play a long time with a small deposit. It is catering for the entertainment factor. That said, we average 70 cashouts a month on this promo, so it's not unreasonable either.

Apologies for the long post, however it is necessary in this instance.

All the best,
Dieter

I like and respect Tropica, but Remy here you stepped in it. Got pulled in by a player and the way you answer him is unacceptable. Explaining is OK but then in the "Date: 2014-06-23 05:40:35" reply you crossed the line. Really rude! You should apologize.

Anyway, of course the casino is right here, no scam at all. But seriously go through your CRM routines!

Hi,

Remy and I discussed this and he stated it was not the best way to respond. He felt bad as it's not really like him to let a situation get the better of him. Remy is one of the best agent's out there and this is purely frustration based on the correspondence received.

We will most certainly bear this in mind going forward.

Best,
Dieter

I had a lot of contact with Remy and he is always very helpful and friendly. Please have a look at the first mail from the OP. Not very friendly.

Maybe we players have to see the CS as human beings. If we are friendly to them, they are friendly and helpful to us.

When I read this thread as a potential future customer, the impression I am left with is a casino with strange practices and what I remember is a rude customer service representative.

I know it is most likely the wrong impression, but that email correspondence tread does not give a good impression of Tropica imho.

The fact that they commented on my post and explained shows that they really are serious and I am sure Remy normally is a delight to deal with:)

Dagobert,

Having read the emails in question I agree that Remy had crossed the line as you stated. We cannot deny though that it was the OP who first threatened to post on casinomeister and this makes it a tit-for tat situation though this does not make it any more acceptable. Seriously, the OP claims he was ripped off when he knew exactly the terms of the bonus and even did the math himself. Every player views promos differently. 'A man's meat may be another man's poison'. Some don't like bonuses, some love them as it extends playtime and some even take advantage of +EV bonuses to gain a buck. There are no misleading terms and if you take this up in the knowledge you will lose 99 times out of 100 and then cashing out at a max that is equivalent to only 25x of your deposit you can kick yourself for being a sucker and yourself for falling prey to what seems to be an extremely high bonus.

That's a ridiculous response. In free mode there is zero chance to win. This bonus does have an opportunity to win and I have cashed in on bonuses with worse terms over the years.

well, your chance to win with this offer is probably near 1 in 2000-5000, ie no where near 1 in 50

so its pretty much the same

with 180,000 wagering, you are giving the casino $9000 of your money, so 1 in 350 players will fully complete the wagering requirements

out of these 350 players, 1-20-30 will have 625, so your looking at around 1-3500 to 1-7000, but we can round it down to 1-2000 to 1-5000 incase ive made any errors, to favour the player

Its pretty pathetic that people in general dont understand the maths, your better of playing in free mode than doing this abysmal "offer"

I pity anyone who takes this offer, like seriously, how can a casino take a stance towards responsible gambling yet offer ridiculous offers like these

Do you ever listen to what people say?

Some do always play for the winnings but most gamblers play for both entertainment and having the chance to win.
We are different and we see things different and that is something you have to learn to accept.

Please treat those who like this kind of bonuses with a little respect.

That's a bit like pitying anyone who buys a lottery ticket due to the bad odds that represents too.
At the end of the day, the terms are there and they are clear. Take it or leave it.
Put it this way, we had a thread not too long ago where a Norwegian problem gambler spunked 21000 bucks in one weekend he'd borrowed for a house deposit or something, and was distraught and claiming the casino didn't apply the limits he had allegedly set. (it turned out latterly he had removed them.)
How better off he'd have been playing that whole weekend for a mere $25 on Tropica's 10,000% offer................

I took this offer a few MONTHS ago - and I'm still playing it.
Deposited $50, so started with $5,050. Went up to over $8,000 at one point, then it all slipped away down to a little over $1,000. Then a few days ago I had an amazing run on their new Buffalo slot & went back up over $10,000 for a while, then it dipped to $8K but I got it back on Mystic Wolf.

Right now I still have $10K in my account. I have absolutely NO idea how much wagering I have done, but who knows - I might just make it & cash-out the maximum of $1,250.
Win or lose, I'm having a lot of high-rolling fun and don't regret taking the bonus one bit.
Each to their own... ;)

KK
