Wow , this is really dumb/predatory (not on trada's side I blame the game provider)

Ok so I'm doing £1/spin on this game called Thrones of Persia
My balance is £329.68

That's £129.68 profit on my deposit so I decide to spin the 60p and cashout (you can't cashout pence on Trada)

Pressed the - on bet £0.05 it went to £0.02 ok 40p spin

28p left so I pressed the - on bet £0.02 expecting it to go to £0.01 for 20p spin . Makes sense , right ? 20 lines ...

No it jumps to this

Obviously I already pressed spin and gg £100

Disgusting design and probably predatory imo

Thoughts ? Should I be compensated ? Obv I never intended to spin for this amount and WHY IF I PRESS - TO MAKE A BET SMALLER DOES IT GO TO MAX ??

Happy Ending though as Trada Support have kindly refunded me the £100 !! So props to them , excellent customer support ! How many casinos would agree to do that almost instantly just by live chat ? 10/10

Hey @SlotGrinder

I actually just saw this thread and was looking into it when I saw that Cleo took care of it for you!
Great to hear it was resolved properly :)

I just tested it there myself and it appears when you're on the minimum bet in this game (0.20) and you try to go lower it puts you onto the max bet
Our team is contacting the game provider right now to get them to look into this.

I'll keep you updated regarding this :)

No , my version doesnt even have 20p bet . That was what caused me to mis spin at max stake . If it had gone to 20p bet first I prob would have avoided it because a couple of providers like playtech , for example , sometimes do this "wraparound" betsize adjustment and Ive been burnt once before by that
But I expected it to go from 40p to 20p stake , which is the logical jump because it is a 20 lines game , and the lack of that betsize combined with the jump to max stake and my reactions were too slow as I was in the process of pressing the spin button

Thats some predatory design :eek2: glad you guys took care of it & contacted the provider

That is really positive that Trada saw it was clearly an error and refunded you even though you could have hit a monster. Had a similar thing happen to me but with a max bet button right next to spin. Think it was whoever makes girls and guns (although not 100% that was the actual slot). Had just won £100 odd off 40p. Accidentally clicked max bet and spin, sort of double clicked. £125 bet! Not impressed. Energy casino were not so accommodating.

Yet to join Trada but from all the good things I hear along with examples of customer service like this, I guess a deposit is overdue.

Well what ya waiting for? Lol
Follow any Trada link in the forum and get registered as yet really are fab x

That's great customer service there :)

Stake selection that wraps around to the max is awful and should be classed as a bug that should be fixed before a game goes live. Most games don't do this so when you find one that does it can catch you out :(
I also don't really see the need for a max bet button on any slots; most people never bet anywhere near the maximum and if you want to you should have to click all the way up to it. At least then you'll know you're betting that much. I often think the max bet button is there purely for people to press accidentally. It should certainly be as far away from the start button as possible. Maybe there should be a min bet button there also, just to balance things out

Just like games like six acrobats starting on 18€ stake i think, hasn't happened yet that i didnt notice but im sure some day it unfortunately will :D

Max bet button is slightly less useful than the "stop on any win" checkbox
Who ever presses max bet deliberately ? I suspect noone ever . Even if you're planning to bet the max stake you at least click up to see how much it actually is before spinning :p

Amazing customer service, that's class.

All games should come with a warning when you start getting to higher stakes. There's one provider that does it when you get to max, can't remember which one. They say like "you are now betting £125" or whatever and you have to click ok. Impossible to accidentally spin at max.

I think what hacked me off more than anything with my experience was not only was the max bet basically hugging the spin button but that the max bet was so farcically large. Had it been £20 I’d have been a bit miffed but just about ok with it. £125 was clearly way OTT and also clearly not in keeping with my, albeit limited, playing history. Suffice to say I cancelled my account.

I have done it myself on Wolf Gold at Trada, did 2-3 spins on max bet by accident, all losing, which decimated my balance - not that It even crossed my mind to contact support at the time as it was my mistake

If that's the case they should be pulled forthwith. This would be totally against the rules governing software. @trancemonkey ?

@conor, not gonna open another thread but again tonight the TRADA website is causing issues.
Every session since last week brought issues, first it was unexplained errors on Netent slots, then the website was slow and not responsive and just now I am being kicked out of a game session again and the website just goes off line.
It really spoils my gaming experience and I was hoping these issues would not occur anymore, as they were quite common when I first joined TRADA.

Great place, seriously but the tech errors are so friggin annoying.

Now I got:

504 ERROR
The request could not be satisfied.

Actually no it's not against the rules. There is no rule about making your bet selection a carousel, meaning it just steps round from max to min and min to max, and they've probably done it to make it quicker to get to max bets. As long as it doesn't auto play a game when you select the bet it's compliant.

However it's arguably a bad design choice that can cause these types of incidents at far too high a rate. Games providers still have a moral duty to protect players even where they are still technically compliant.

Haha...what a load of nonsense. Where can I find the slot developers code of ethics handbook? On the shelf next to the bookmakers code of ethics book?

Moral obligation = not worth bugger all.

Now if only I could make paying tax a moral obligation instead of a legal one.....

What i said was my opinion - i.e in my opinion they have a moral duty.
