Today's announcement re-UK gaming

What happens if you have more disposable income one month? Hit a win like I did last night? You could see your disposable income shoot up 10 fold.

Either way, it's your money and you earned it. Why should ANYONE be judge, jury and executioner over what you can spend your money on??

There goes getting 2500xp per month at VS lol, wonder if they will make a max amount your allowed to wager next. £100 per month deposit but you can only wager £200 per month.

There wont be any pleasure left with online gaming, thought it was bad enough now but if they go through
with the recommendations on this report it will be a total waste of time, on a £100 limit we wont even be
able to manage 10p spins for any length of time. Why the fuck cant they just leave things alone instead
of meddling in a business they know nothing about.
Better make the most of what time we have left online or go searching in uncharted waters.

Just heard on LBC, that there's going to be some announcements today regarding gambling in the UK.

Heard that a £100 loss limit a month is going to be Imposed, until you can prove you can afford more.

Sounds like stake limits are going to be imposed as well.

Also offering incentives for offshore companies to move back to the UK.
Sounds like deliberately kicking your team mate in the balls while playing football then fully expecting the guy to be best buddies after

Also, a £100 loss limit - well, some casinos accept £5.00 deposits. I could easily win 21x that amount from that deposit and then find I couldn't play anymore if I used up all my winnings.

Muddled thinking from people who don't actually play.

So what's stopping people losing £100 per casino? Will they have a Gamstop-esque barrier to prevent players hopping to different casinos and losing £1500 in an afternoon? Or is it just sensationalist RG bluster to appear to be 'doing something positive'?

My guess is that they will compel all banks and banking systems to limit the amount that they are able to transfer out to and the likes of Nutella will be linked to banks in order for them to share such data

Who is going to be this ombudsman who checks and will that be a blanket check for all casinos or will each casino have its own? I really don't fancy having to explain every single penny I have 15 times

These different reports published within last year or something are not giving any great solutions and options to solve any gambling related problems, was it problem gambling, using illegal funds or whatever.

This is already almost a thing at some casinos
Namely Trada /aspire group force this on people to about the tune of 500 per month unless they can prove otherwise. Which although a far cry from a measly 100, is not far off

Yeah, Casumo and Slotsmillion have done it as well - think SM was 1k per month and Casumo 2k.

They're going to need more than 500 with those RTPs

I haven’t read the article (so correct me if there is a proposal) but if I understand what’s being said, then you can only deposit £100 per month, full stop. Presumably that’s it, as if it were per Casino then it’s pointless implementing it to begin with.

But you are still free to walk into a betting shop and stick £1,000 a day in a FOBT (which have a shocking rtp) or when they reopen, walk into a land based Casino and play £5,000 a spin on the roulette.

It’s either a proposal that could win “the most ridiculous idea since time began award” or (and I hate to give them credit or ideas) a very smart way of ensuring the government benefit as people would possibly return to betting shops and land based Casinos from which the government surely demand a larger wedge. (Just a thought, could be wrong on that one).

Notice there was nothing about "max bet buttons" that sit next to the spin button (Disgusting scam behaviour), or about these mega annoying pop up messages that seem to pop up every few minutes, and always right when you are enjoying a nice win or feature.

Yeah, why DO they always pop up during a feature??

In fairness in all my online play I’ve only ever twice used this by accident.
one casino gave me back my balance (l and l or lv bet, can’t remember)

and one utter disgrace of a brand didn’t even after contacting the rep (genesis brand)

so it’s not a big issue and I could list loads more issues they need to address before moving the max bet button.
