As you may have gathered if you have read our recent interview with the Founder of Stormcraft Studios, Terence Igesund, the Thunderstruck slot series is getting a reboot.

This will see Thunderstruck Wild Lightning going network live with all casinos operating Microgaming casino game content on 27th July next month.

Well we have been very fortunate to have had a sneak peek and have whiled away many hours over the past couple of days giving it a spin.

Have a look at our preview / review over on Casino Gazette here.

This is amazing. Thunderstruck the original was my goto slot back in the early days. Seeing this new version gives me hope that it'll be equally exciting.

Looks like a lot of work has gone into this.

Not actually saw it working.

But from reading the review i think they ruined a good slot.

Not a fan of 40 line slots and by the review nothing sounds original. The lock and respin with cash amounts is everywhere these days. The different amount of spins for different multipliers is hardly new. And collecting 20 double scatters(again not a new idea) to allow you to get a WS sort of ruins the random feature it used to give.

Might be okay when it is launched and might indeed be great slot but just sounds like nothing originsl in it.

I think they should run with this as their PR release statement

A very interesting topic that I have been looking at, I think this is one of the most important information for me. And I'm glad to read your post. Thanks for sharing! us map

It's not good at all. You cannot get the random Shitstorm unexpectedly as in TS2.
Hold and Link re-spins are tedious, everywhere and not very good and this has taken RTP from the FS features which now seldom pay over 150x if you're lucky, whichever of the 4 you've unlocked.
It plays like a low-volatility game where your balance stays in a range for a long period and won't go up significantly due to the lack of big FS wins.
FS can retrigger, but good luck with that...
Instead of 4 different and exciting FS mechanics, you simply have one now from (when all unlocked) Jotunheim 15 spins wilds 2,3,5x to Nidavellir 6 spins with 5,8,12x wilds and these don't multiply each other if more than one occurs in a win, which it won't often. Seen this hundreds of times before on numerous slots such as WMS' Wishing you Fortune and others. The graphics are a bit dull and animations OK with the only saving grace being the 5 music tracks created, like for Immortal Romance - hear a couple of them here:

ts2 was a masterpiece
ts2 had 4 exciting bonuses with a random chance at a wildstorm
this looks like a slot that has nothing to do with thunderstruck 1 or 2

It is not a sequel, it is a reboot of the TS series.

Wash your mouth out with soap @dunover - I think Thunderstruck Wild Lightning which went on general release across all Microgaming operators yesterday, is superb. I even have got the soundtrack!

LOL...that makes it alright then. What's with the Rick Wakeman mask?

Wow congrats!!!
Actually, I took the time to properly test this today and was blown away by the game the longer I played it, with the sounds, effects and music etc. At first look it just seem run-of-the-mill but I must say that I agree with Newshound and Bryan that this is a very smooth and well crafted production and the features have been very well integrated.

So yeah, I must on this occasion swallow my words and stand up and admit I got this slot wrong! It's the best MG edition of recent years since they started using partner studios for their output. That'll teach me to skimp by reading just the rules and deciding I don't think it's anything special!

Just a heads-up this is running on a gimped RTP at some places. Rizk and Unibet have it at 96.1%, Videoslots and some others are running it at 94%.

For what is a pretty damned volatile slot, you'll want all the RTP you can get.

Gave up at Rizk, two disconnects in a bonus round is unacceptable, withdrew my balance and deposited £100 over at Maria Casino instead where it's running perfectly.
