But i have not been there since he moved, last time late 90s, probably 98 or 99.

Its alright i guess, but i wouldnt exactly call the place die-trying-to-protect-it-from-Russia-worthy.
If you ever go there, dont forget to look at the rocks, they have some cool rocks there.

Its called Medieval-week, or Medeltidsveckan in Swedish.
Like you say its like a parade/festival that goes on for a week where they showcase a bunch of medieval stuff, you can try your hand at smithing, axe throwing, rope making and stuff. I think they also do a recreation of a battle that took place on the island.

Looked at the teaser for 2022 and apparently its supposed to be fantasy themed this year, whatever that means.
Looks like a mix of world of warcraft and lord of the rings or something, nothing like that going on when i was there.
Only been there once, but i was so young the only thing i remember is throwing axes.
