I can already foresee new members, and some old who should know better, coming in and making unsubstantiated and outlandish claims against casinos, sotwares, etc. and the casinos and reps would have no way to defend themselves as they couldn't be expected to monitor the chat, especially as by the time they were alerted to anything it'd have already rolled on past.
Even if you had someone monitor it, you're talking 24/7 watching it and jumping in all the time, I'm guessing a paid position to guarantee theyre active and fast on the draw and able to diffuse a situation if need be, because if volunteering they could toddle off and make dinner, pick up the kids, run to the loo, etc.
From there, they'd have to speak on behalf of CM, know his stand (be it Bryan, max Simmo etc) in most matters in what's ok and what's not, so you're looking at paid positions and training.
Then, you'd have shady self-promoters exploiting it, upping links, waiting for down-times to take advantage.
Yes, I know it's meant to be fun and accessible - but really, then, it's accessible to anyone. How do you stop it before it starts? Sure 3Dice and those 'other' sites have it, but it has paid staff closely scrutinizing it.
Ok, sure those are all negatives.
The plus is peeps can chat and hang out - but cant they do that by bantering in threads anyway, where it already is monitored, the posts are there for everyone to see, and can jump in when they're up and about? I can already see in my mind cliques forming, drama, hurt feelings etc.
I say go with the forum as is, seems to work just fine.
