I've been reading about a Japanese style of poetry called 'Tanka'. Its a lot like the so famous 'Haiku'. They even start the same.
I'm also sitting pretty bored at work/home most of the time while I read this stuff.
And, there's got to be others who want to think a little with pretty words when-ever it is where you are. To write your own Tanka you start with a Haiku (5-7-5) in the number of syllables per word. A tanka differs from a Haiku with the addition of two (2) lines each with seven (7) syllables.
Read it out loud
And write your own! I'll probably keep writing more when I'm bored if people like 'em.
So, without further ado- my Tanka:
Anywhere but here
Will not solve your problems. Why?
Your external world
Has never been the cage that
Kept your beauty from freedom.
