Taking a break after losing 14k in one day...

Yeah i saw this popped up; and i think it was under casumo streamers wins. Appearantly going right back at it.

Not sure what you mean?

I took a break, less than expected, and just back to normal streaming (by "normal" I don't mean I only buy crazy bonuses, but rather just back to my usual streaming schedule). And taking a break definitely help, because I don't gamble that much anymore.

Also, as I stated several times, I took a break not only because I lost a lot of money, but mostly because I lost it way too fast.

Perhaps take a moment to read the initial post in this thread from @dunover > Taking a break after losing 14k in one day... - Casinomeister Forum

And let that sink in for a minute.

I'm afraid he's wrong for many reasons, starting from Bitcoin and it's instristic value, and especially about me making money from affiliation :D

You won't believe me probably, but over three years of streaming I earned just a bit more than couple of hundreds of euros, from all casinos combined.

Hope you dont fall back into losing another 14K when you earn so little from streaming.

Hope you don't fall back into losing 14k, full stop.

MInd if ask if you have sought any advice or support?

14K is a hell of a lot for someone earning so little, but maybe its a drop in the ocean for you.

2000x stake bonus buys is not taking it easy but maybe you disagree.

It's sad, but many people really don't underestimate how important it is to read the rules. Anyway to take a break, it's always a good decision

in a nutshell losing 14k in a day you got a serious problem, ive been there myself thats why setting the deposit limits is a must

I think removing autoplay is a big mistake also.

It's a budgeting tool for me, I don't employ limits but I completely understand their value. For me, autoplay is my gauge. e.g. 100 spins at 20p + £5 loss limit.

Nice one UKGC.

I'm going to be playing less without autoplay, that's for sure. The tedium of individual clicks is real. I have dual monitors so I often set autoplay on a slot on one screen and do other things on the other monitor. When some slots have a 200 spin+ average to see a bonus, autoplay is pretty essential. Plus, as you say, they are great for in game budgeting.

I do wonder whether providers could get around this by allowing a player to buy a block of spins for cost. So 100 spins on a 20p stake is a £20 buy in. Doesn't fall under the definition of a bonus buy either...

You've probably seen a few already feature different scenarios for bulk buy. Elk do X-iter but its not available for the UK but I reckon something like that could possibly swerve legislation. Cant see anyone taking the risk though.
Not sure it’s so much as a risk. One can try then if you get ordered to remove it you remove it.

Removing auto spins has to be one of the most brain dead ‘initiatives’ I’ve seen come from the UKGC...and there’s been a few.

It depends on which type of autospins. I believe there are two,

Book of ra, pretty much unlimited autospins to the point your balance just depletes up.

Any populair based game, where you can set a loss limit, spin limit and all that stuff.

I guess someone complained at authorities saying they lost all they funds or something. I dont know. Just put it up with a simple loss limit. How wrong can you go? Oh wait... the small 2% who cant control themself, is pretty much why these regulations are shoved into the game(s).

In EU we dont have these issues really; you can do whatever you want.

'In EU' is a big place.
The shitty regulation here in Sweden is far from being able to do whatever i want.
=)

Germanys upcoming €1 max bet and no autospins is not exactly 'do what you want' material either.

Well, germany was pretty much bound to happen. I used to live near the german border and often took my Audi RS4 to the highways up there. But it suprised me for how long they where able to spawn gambling places all over any town that you came by. At some point the smallest city that i remember had like 5 different spielhalle in the same street pretty much. It was heading towards a UK where betshops, bookies and all that stuff was all over the place, nuking it's local economy and raising the amount of gambling addicts.

I'm glad that we have still a bit of freedom in relation of gambling, but you can see there's alot of casino's bet capping games or removing certain functionality in favor of the house, not really the player you know. Random or not but explain to me why for example Videoslots bet caps certain games otherwise ?

its crazy removing autospins no way will it be possible to grind bonanza anymore unless you got 10 hands, ive played on sites with bonanza where they havent got autospins anyway after a few hundred spins one has had enough

The removal of autospins is a nightmare, would be interesting to see figures of how many people actually use them though.
I play Novomatic quite a bit and since they removed them, around 30 spins and I'm sick of clicking start and go elsewhere. I think it will have a massive effect on revenue for casinos and think the UKGC are likely to be shooting themselves in the foot over this.

Same here on the Novos since they removed auto spin I have not played them since - I take the same approach as I do with VideoSlots with the Low RTPS - avoid like the plauge. Come October online gaming is done for me. I cant stand clicking it would bore me to death. And I dont play much table games - so unless there is a major shift from the UKGC (cant see it happening) or there is some really good outfit opening up outside of the UKGC licence that allows UK players - then for me it really is game over.

I agree, and Novo's aren't actually that bad, try playing most Blueprint slots not using autoplay, the spin finishes then you have to wait till the start button lights up again. The merkur games on there will be unplayable. I usually set 50-100 spins off on magic mirror 2 and go and do something while they are playing as they are so boring, the only time you can win is from the bonus, and they can take 100's of spins to drop. They will 100% be a massive no once autospin is removed. The Merkur version isn't too bad, but theres only Novibet where I play, that I know of where it isn't served up by BP.

Some sites run BTG without autoplay and its awful. Im lucky to manage 50 spins.

The only provider I really dont mind clicking spin myself is PnG.

Some providers - most notably Pragmatic , you can hold down space and it will keep spinning - I would not be surprised to see many more providers adapt this technique
