south african casino ringing me??? marketing? can they do this???

I live in the Uk, and just a few minutes ago I was receiving phone calls from this number +27118095300 (south african number??).
As I dont know no one in south africa I did a quick search on google and it appears to be some online casino.

Well, the only casinos in which I am registered and which I posted my mobile contact are:
. 32red (signed up 3 weeks ago)
. redflush (signed up yesterday)
. riverbelle (signed up last week)
. and grosvenor casino (just sign up today on this one in fact)

There were some old casinos that I played before but decided not to play there anymore (for more than 1-2 years, so I doubt if are those ones).


ofcourse I can not be sure which one shared my details to this "company", I suspect probably grosvenor, because I signed up 1h ago and now I am receiving this phone calls...

can they do this???? its so annoying and as anyone else been through the same thing. I must add that I had the best of experiences in customer support on 32red, redflush and riverbelle, so I am highly inclined to grosvenor being the one causing this issues... correct me if I am wrong..

hmmm... just went to the webpage of casino la vida and it says powered by microgaming... so maybe grosvenor is not the one after all..

anyone has any suggestions?

wow.. just did a search here on casinomeister forum and it seems to be redflush after all! not happy at all.., particullary because I made a withdraw last night, hope is not no one ringing offering bonus or so for me not to withdraw.. lol
anyway, not gonna pick the phone when they ring

when i was able to play fortune lounge group i had occasion to call the tel number listed by them and it was redirected to south Africa i had many casual conversations with the persons on there phone bank about the weather and such [ i don't think that in it self was a negative thing]

ok, just went to live support at redflush and they confirmed that the number is the support centre for BOTH redflush and "casino la vida" located in south africa and that they were ringing to confirm some details of my account.
I asked them to contact me preferably through email.

I see that you found out on your own...but to confirm, yes.....RedFlush and CasinoLaVida are the same company.

IF they do happen to offer you a bonus to reverse, please let us know...as this practice is strictly forbidden by the casinos listed here at Casinomeister (Accredited Casinos). It's a pet peeve of mine personally, and IMO, is very shady practice.

yeah, I found my way, spoke with live support (which was very friendly), which confirmed me that the number is the support centre for both redflush and casino la vida. I've asked only to be contacted by phone in a "life or death situation". asked to be contacted only by email.

they said they wanted just to confirm some of my details.. lol.. not sure if it was that at all, but for now gonna trust it.. lol

if more phone calls come I'll keep you posted.

Mecca bingo are part of the rank group, along with grosvenor and bluesq. So it's most likely grosvenor calling for some reason rather than unsolicited contact, seeing as you said you had just signed up with them.
