Need your input: So Which Really is Your Favourite Christmas Slot Ever?

I need some input here!
OK, with the season being here and featuring in our CM promo plus the large amount of Xmas games around, what would be your favourite, the Christmas GOAT game?

Sadly, mine is Microgaming's Deck the Halls, which I think may have gone now?

The big potential and the soothing atmospheric music and great artwork really drew me in back in the Viper Client days. Got a few beatings on it, but when those Santa stacked wilds lined up, he really did empty his sack under your tree especially in the FS when wilds were 4x IIRC.

Microgaming were masters of getting the balance between sound and graphics just right in order to make many of their slots very immersive, The Finer Reels being another example. But DTH was always the one for me as a true Christmas slot and not merely a reskin of a boring game with some snow sprinkled over the symbols.

That brings back memories.

I liked it but I preferred Santa's Wild Ride

Bang on and what a beautiful slot that was.

Used to absolutely love all their slots. Really smooth game play.

Those were the days! Nothing comes close any more, apart from possibly a few Megaways games in my opinion.

I played SWR too, but surely the bonus was the most frustrating to watch of any game. 20 or 25 spins of constant teasing and nothingness whichever wild option you chose. Even worse, they used the wild mechanic later on Playboy and other games making them equally annoying.

I know (rarely) it would land the wild reels for some big wins, but the in-between was just too torpor-inducing for me.

netent xmas versions are good cos they are like the original games but without the reduced RTPs
examples: Secrets of xmas, Fruit shop xmas.

I used to like mgs Happy holidays which is a terminator 2 clone but again without the reduced RTP, the game may be retired though as vanished on all british casino for no reason.

Yeah, forgot about HH which as you say was a clone, but it also had the super mode in the bonus occasionally like T2.

Have to agree with some previous comments that secrets of christmas is the one that comes to mind when thinking about christmas slots.
I think it's a good game because it's a clone of Secret of the Stones which is one of Netent's best-ever slots, a fact which I've only just remembered lol.

I still go with DTH because it's an original not a clone. If SoC was original, I'd rate them pretty similarly.

Christmas Bonanza.. *shakes head* I'm playin. I don't really have one, but one of the casinos I use gives free spins for a slot called Saint Nicked 3 that plays pretty decently.

That's a Blueprint Gaming one, 4096-ways? Never seen it before.

Yeah, that's the one. Its RTP is on the lower end, but it plays decently. Medium volatility.

Does the US have access to more games than the UK?

I doubt it, unless the states with legal online gambling like NJ use the same selection of games. There are casinos UK-facing or Europe-facing that can offer 3-4000 different slot games. Blueprint are a UK company, part of the Gauselmann Group IIRC. We also get WMS, IGT and Bally the big US names, IGT now being owned by a UK-listed group. WMS now part of Light & Wonder who also incorporate BTG and many other developers. We also get Australian ones like Lightning Box and Aristocrat.

Have to agree on Secrets of Christmas being the best Christmas slot still around.

Deck the Halls is still around but has gotten the Games Global makeover

Not sure about Happy Holidays, I can't find it unlike Terminator 2 "Remastered".
Such a shame but at least it's still around. A poor shadow of its former self on Viper client.

Secrets of Christmas is a bit of an imposter considering it's a reskin of SotS, but as said before, you cannot fault the game mechanic. Plus the background looks like it was designed by Gary Glitter.

Secrets of Christmas is a great game, but I'm afraid to say it is Christmas Bonanza for me - mainly because it doesn't lag like the original can do, giving away whether it'll cascade or not.

I also enjoy banging my head against a brick wall for a number of hours at a time.

I never noticed that lag bit about it.

Yeah, the original can lag between cascades, depending on what casino you're playing at. The version at VS was always terrible for pausing slightly between cascades, so you'd know there was no win coming.

Happy Holidays - but it's gone to the slot retirement home now
That was another Viper client one, 243-ways IIRC?

Don't ever recall playing it as the 'happy' in the title would've put me off.

The version with the slight pause between losing cascades doesn't have a buy in button, does it?

Not for GB residents it wouldn't unless they were using unlicensed crapto sites.

No, but as dunover said UK wouldnt, extra chilli does the same, you know when your getting a winning cascade / feature etc when it starts the heart beat tease fast etc, any delay in tumble or heart beat starting = no more wins

Serious answer, it has to be Secrets of Christmas. Although Jingle Bells is also good fun if you can find a place that runs it at 96%, I liked the "Lucky" series of Red Tigers but won't play them at 92%.
Yes, it seems SoC is the most popular so far and I get why as it's based on a very good SotS game. It irks me a bit when it's technically a clone, like when Book of Dead won slot of the year here in 2018 or whenever, being a copy of Book of Ra Deluxe. 😰

secrets of christmas awesome slot, might have £20 in at 20p
Anyone ever seen the 3 middle reels wild on it? Surely the pay dirt choice of stones presents?

Santa's Wonderland - even play it during summer

Christmas is slightly better than Stones in at least one way. Stones gives you a straight 3 out of 15 choice whereas Christmas gives 3*(1 out of 5) with wild reel in each bundle of 5, so the 3 wild reels is more likely.

Didn't know that...

I would love to know where the wild on reel 3 has got to on my computer. Unlike secret of Stones it is not a thing. I have had the three wilds on stones for well over 1000x but I can't recall exactly how much

Pragmatic Play's Santa's Great Gifts is one of my favorite games. I'm not entirely sure, but it was Pragmatic Play's first game with Super Bonus purchases. The sound of Santa when throwing the multiplier balls gives me a really good feeling

The Microgaming one which was a clone of Terminator (or vice versa) with a Hot Mode feature that only ever showed up for streamers and not mere mortals like me!
You mean Happy Holidays - yeah, that had a mention here earlier. The Streamer Mode lol
