Hey guys,

Just finished putting together a slot tournament idea with Casino Action (so US players from all but the 11 States can join in) to replace the old Slotjunkies comps and to give an option to the new MG tournies. It's based on wagering (1 point per $ wagered) and has a leader-board and runs over a month, starting October 1st.

There's around $875 up for grabs in the first month and you can play any slot, not just Tombraider and T'struck, hence why I dubbed it a "Freestyle" tourney. It adds a small element of skill I guess in picking the right slots and bet-sizes to maximise wagering.

You can also take the signup bonus if you wish and the wagering on that counts towards the tourney points

The details are on my brand-spanking-new domain:

- happy to field any questions.

Cheers,

The October competition is now open

Prizes This Month:

1st Prize: $300
2nd Prize: $200
3rd Prize: $150
4th Prize: $125
5th Prize: $100

Will probably extend this to 10 prizes in November or even in October if there are enough entrants :)

Cheers

Nice idea, but the current rules exclude me PERMANENTLY as I have been a regular Casino Action player since 2004:mad: (I found this out after signing up, so to be any use to a seasoned player there has to be something for us too).

It is likely that many Casinomeister members fall into the same position, as this is one of the stalwarts of the accredited list.

In theory if there is only one casino there that you haven't joined, you can click through to that one, But otherwise, yes the tournament system they coded is automated to recognise the refering tag. I can have a word with my contact there if you PM me your account numbers and see if there is a manual "add" option.

That said, I hope to be running exclusive freerolls and buy-ins when CA get the new MG tourney upgrade in, so as long as you are on the mailing list (which I see you are) you should be able to opt in to some of these

They should allow you to have a manual method on the new slotjunkies site, similar to the old one where we had to claim with our account numbers.

Casino Action automatically tag players to the internal Munchkins and Thunderstruck tournaments, so I suspect they could introduce something to allow slotjunkies players with old accounts to register in future tournaments.
Their problem would be in preventing the non-slotjunkies players from reaching the scoreboard.
Looking at past performance, top slot players easily wager $500,000 to $1M during a month. This can be estimated from the top scores on their own freestyle weekly slots league, which has a $500 top prize. The slotjunkies prize of $300 is low in comparison.

Absolutely but there is a degree of relativity which will continue. In my tournaments there are very few players so the chances of winning are much much higher - at the moment only 6 have registered accounts for example. This will hopefully grow and as it does so will the prizes. In the CA tournies you are up against hundreds of players :)

I tend to play the Munchkins & Thunderstruck events, the players are then up against ME:D

If I did find a way to register for SlotJunkies, I would probably win every time till some of the big hitters came along.

I have not worried too much, as October is nearly over. If I reregistered my accouts through the SlotJunkies links, this would be against T & C, and even if I closed the former account, it would do the original affiliate out of their share for attracting me. This may be why only 6 have registered. Many would already have accounts as all are Casinomeister accredited casinos, and they featured in the last round of SlotJunkies.

The only account I don't have is iBig, but I cant read Japanese:D

If you send me the 6 Account numbers, my chappie at CA said he'd check existing tags and if one was free, hook it up for you :)

Does this mean the prizes are somehow connected to your affiliate earnings?
I would have thought your intention would have been to have this open to ALL Casinomeister & Slotjunkies members, regardless of whether they did or did not play there in the past.
It is possible, though, that I may have downloaded some of them directly after spotting the live scoreboards, however after I joined Casinomeister I used his links rather than downloading directly.
CA should look to enabling a separate tag that does not rely on your own affiliate data to construct the scoreboards, perhaps similar to the way their current live feeds work for their own tournaments, which I believe comes from Playcheck data provided on the Microgaming servers.

Since you are a trustworthy fellow, I will send you my numbers by PM so you can have your contact see if any are free to receive a tournament tag under the current system,

....then I'll flay your A*** in the November freestyle:p

LOL - just try :p

Yes if you are already tagged to another aff, it can't be swapped and CA are tagging via the ID. But you may have one that isn't tagged - maybe came through a media buy...you never know. They can't switch tags - aside from being unethical, the MG system doen't allow that sort of control.

This could be an impediment to these kinds of tournaments in the future, since if a Slotjunkies player gets your tag, they will be unable to participate in any other webmaster's events that use the same system.

This might also act as a disincentive for other players who might be thinking of signing up at other casinos, but don't want to lose out if they then join in with the new slotjunkies tournaments.
I joined a number of new casinos when you ran the previous version, and because you didn't state that they had to be joined specifically through your links, I tended to use the Casinomeister ones as I knew how to download from them.
Since 2005/2006, I have always joined through a reputable affiliate such as casinomeister, although I may have joined a couple through the old slotjunkies site due to convenience - this might have been Roxy Palace.

Simmo - you seem to have only a mere 17000 score, and only one rival!

If you attached one of my accounts, and scoring works retrospectively...

...........better get some antiseptic cream for your flayed a*** (or is it some weird scoring system unlike the usual CA scoreboards).

That was fine - they worked differently before - it was all manual. This is different in that its automated at CA's end I guess. Its out of my hands....but there will be some exclusive tourneys in the near future where it doesn't matter how you got tagged  I'm currently working on a feed from the MG software to the website for a schedule of tournies...once that's all done.
