I got a kick out of that one, too. During one casino trip a little elderly lady (dressed to the nines, I'll have you know) toddled up to the slot beside me and asked if she could sit and play. Go right ahead, I tell her. Lady before her had cashed out $50. So she got settled in, waved down a cocktail waitress and ordered a beer 'in a bottle please'. I usually don't get 'chatty' while playing, but I was bored (and losing) so really low rolling and playing slow anyway.
So she commences to tell me how she comes on the group bus 4 times a year, and how her kids always make a fuss about the money she's blowing. 'They've got good jobs', she says. 'They can save and spend how they want. And I don't say a thing to them about the five grand they blow at Disney World every year - it's none of my business. And this $200 I save up and bring gambling is none of their damn business, either.' She shoved in a $20, looked at the paytables (so she'd know which symbols to 'root for'), hit some good bonus rounds, got half the casino cheering her on, and she soon cashed out $200. You go, Granny!
